RE: Suggestions on building a certain lifestyle?
Why not hire a full time wing man to enhance your social life? Maybe someone on this forum would be satisfied with 50k or so per year.

I'm like you in that I've admitted that I'll try to find workarounds to cold approach if possible, even realizing that this will limit my dating pool. I've done cold approach and had success, and even enjoyed it at times, but I'd still rather find some way to make what I want just fall into my lap. I think that there are ways. Like you say, you play to your strengths. Your strength is money.

So why not trade some of that money to guys whose strengths are cold approach and networking?

One guy on this forum offers a pipelining service. The privateman helps to write dating profiles. With some work I bet you could find guys who could bring you prospects in other ways.

The insurance and mortgage brokerage business has a pay per lead setup. I'm sure that players could earn their income providing leads in the same way.

Alternately you could work to be more social with guys on the forum - fly them in for all expenses paid weekends and give them a little spending money. Maybe give them a few days to build up their prospects first, and then go on a night on the town with them. That would give you one or two nights a week out hanging with skilled PUAs and the prospects they bring, which would net you lays plus you'd learn through association. You could have a variety of guys come out and do this.

And like others have asked, is there some social situation that intersects with your interests? Some guys like to hang out at bars, so that meshes well - they go to bars and meet women. Others like dancing, so they take up social dancing such as salsa. I'm learning the piano, so I plan to seduce piano tutors. Think if you can mix your interests together with having women join in, and then think again leveraging your money - how to pay people to set up the situation that you want.

I understand the sentiment that if someone doesn't want to get up off his ass and do the hard work of cold approaching, then he deserves nothing but his right hand for company. But I think that notion disallows imaginative alternatives. There are plenty of examples of men with active dating lives, high notch counts, a variety of threesomes, and more who rarely if ever cold approach. Cold approach is one, very good, highly valuable straightforward solution - but it's not the only solution. It's not necessarily even the best solution. It's not always even the most efficient solution. For a guy whose strength is money, you'll be able to pay others to augment your weak spots - and why not? There is no cheating in game. There is only results.

And paying social facilitators is a win win situation all around.

Hell, it's what many rich and famous band members do - and they don't even need to. They could cold approach, but since they have the option not to, they don't. They hire people to bring them dates.

Thx, I like some of your ideas. I'd definitely like to have somebody come and show me what I should be doing differently. I've tried to offer to fly coaches here before but couldn't really find anyone that was both qualified and interested. It'd be a large investment and I'd really not want to pick the wrong person and end up with a big hole in my pocket and nothing in return.

I guess the answer to what do I want is I want to live in a perpetual party at my house where I am the 'king of the castle' so to speak, have people (and new girls) always coming by. That would be ideal. I've taken some steps to get there, I bought a kegerator and keep it filled and also generally keep some drugs around.

I strongly suspect you are on a wind up considering your username and your last post but even if you're not then surely the answer to your question is obvious. Just depends if you think its worth it.

Can you coach me how to play and win at poker?

I won't compete against you, and will give a % of what i win, like a tip if you will

A few in Australia are playing blackjack professional and winning, the casinos keep banning them, memorize of cards system, that's way too hard for me.

RE: Suggestions on building a certain lifestyle?
The time it would take for you to become proficient enough to earn a decent wage at this point is just not worth it. I've been playing/studying ~4 hours a day 5 days a week for 6 years. I got into it back when the ceiling was incredibly high. The bubble sort of broke on it now and it's very difficult to rise toward the top. And even if you did have the ability to do so, the amount you could earn is just not nearly enough compared to the time you'd have to give up in order to get there. You'd be better off taking up other endeavors. I'm not confident online poker will be around in the next 7-10 years.

My coaching rate is $350/hr. The guys who do come to me to learn how to play are already seasoned players with a lot of success under their belt who are trying to move up in stakes and increase their hourly winrate. I don't teach beginners because they can get the type of advice they need for about 1/8th the cost from guys beating lower stakes than me.

If somebody who was pretty proficient and had pretty tight game could come here and help me out I could certainly spend half the time working with them to improve their poker game in exchange for help w/ meeting females. I could even provide a room for them to stay in.

RE: Suggestions on building a certain lifestyle?
I've been getting more than a few private messages about how I do what I do. Where to start and what blueprint to follow. I just want to address it here rather than writing a bunch of different responses then getting more and more questions.

What I have to say about it is ...

There's no magic formula. It takes a lot of hard work, practice, patience, smarts, timing and luck. Just like learning game, or anything else for that matter. My advice to anyone looking to improve their situation financially would be to find something you are passionate and work towards that. I was lucky to find online poker at an early enough age through some mutual friends who were also quite good at the game and I'm also lucky enough to really love what I do.

If you want to get started, the first thing I would say to do is join cardrunners.com or leggopoker.com or deucescracked.com and watch a ton of videos. Second thing to do would be to make as many poker playing friends as you can on the internet and create a sort of social network where you frequently discuss situations that come up, the decisions you made, and what you could have done differently. Sort of like a mastermind group. That's how the majority of the top players today got to where they are, they discuss situations and how to play certain hands in certain situations. After that, I'd say, you need to learn how to manage a bankroll (you can't be successful with money anyway in life without knowing how to manage it.) And then you need to put in a ton of volume, play at least 2k hands a day of micro stakes. That's where I started. I put 50 bucks on the internet and played in the .01/.02 games where you can buy in for 2 dollars. I ran that $50 investment up to playing in 25/50 games (that's 5k buy in). Today the games I play in are between 5/10 and 15/30 which is 1k-3k buy ins and I play about 4-8 tables at a time depending on how many games are running.

Okay so that's my story.

At first I thought dealer10 was a troll, but he's definitely got a lot of substantive things to say and a very interesting way of looking at the situation. Obviously, being that good at online poker means that he looks at things "outside of the box", I guess it'd be an interesting proposition to sort this issue out.

This might be a dumb question, but if you're making this kind of money and you can do it anywhere in the world with internet access, why are you still in the US?

Somewhere where the 250k per year you earn will allow you to live like the baller you claim you currently aren't.

Except for Afghanistan. Last I checked that one was actually dangerous.
