HOLY SHIT! I look alot like this guy--luckily I'm on the east coast.
He clearly was railroaded by his superiors but there is no need to smoke somebody. Unfortunately, I agree with parts of his manifesto--but thats the world we live in.

seriously. I hope they get him good.

He's not a black nationalist.

You are a high value target. You perpetuated the cycle of racism in the department as well. You breed a new generation of bigoted caucasian officer when you belittle them and treat them unfairly.

Always hated the LAPD. I am glad he has the LAPD running scared like a bunch of little bitches.

He was a cop and good at his job, but he committed the ultimate sin and testified against other cops gone bad, cops that tried to kill him but got the woman he loved instead. Framed for murder, now he prowls the badlands. An outlaw, hunting outlaws. A bounty hunter. A renegade.

This man is the black Renegade. Hell yeah! Laugh

This guy is lying to himself. He's the epitome of that other thread with the male hamster. This guy is a piece of shit.

You read his manifesto and it's convincing until you actually look at all the checks and balances that go into being a cop.

He's done nothing but set up straw men in his manifesto. He's accusing people who don't get to reply.

He's gone his whole life using perceived and real racism as an excuse to lose his shit and hurt others.

He's talking about killing families but he's supposedly a stand up guy willing to do anything to clear his name?

You guys have bought into this because you're anti authoritarian and read a manifesto that is basically a revision of history.

For all his bluster and "training" I bet this shit is over in a couple weeks.

Except that the manifesto is primarily about corruption at the LAPD.

People are reading into this what they want to believe, like the ancients used to divine the future from animal entrails. Based on the man's own words, he's mostly angry at his former employer for being, in his opinion, unfairly booted from the force.

Right, except the undeniable part is that he's MURDERING people and threatening to murder more.

I feel like I'm taking fucking crazy pills right now.....

Are you kidding me? EVERY business has corruption, but people don't all go out and whack others and print manifestos! Are you really thinking his plans are going to come to fruition??

Edit: The guy is crazy. Whether he feels justified or not. Whether there was this "conspiracy" to kick him off the force (and he wasn't there very long) or not. His reasoning according to his manifesto is to bring light to the circumstances surrounding his release by killing his former colleagues and their families.

He pretty much describes every person on the force and calls them targets.

RE: Chris Dorner - LA ex-cop and his manifesto.
It's one thing to resort to the pen to attack those who attack you, and to restore your good name. He could write an expose and some small publisher would be very happy to print it. It might become a bestseller and they might give him the nobel peace prize for averting the next set of race riots. (Not likely, but anything's possible.) Instead, he decides to murder people.

He may or may not have good points about corruption in the LAPD, and maybe he was shamefully treated and deserves sympathy because of the events that led him to snap, but regardless, he's now snapped, and is the human equivalent of a rabid dog. Like a rabid dog, he ought to be put down as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Cops. Crooked cops he's murdering. People in positions of authority like cops, judges, senators should be(but aren't) held to a higher standard than the rest of us.

So if a cop breaks the law who do you complain to? Another cop. So what happens to that complaint? It goes nowhere. Hence the problem at hand.

Worst thing they can do is publicize this all over the world. All it does is inspire borderline people that have the same built up frustration to act on it.

He is going around killing any cops he sees, that's not the same as going after crooked cops.

And what role did that cops daughter and boyfriend have in this corruption?

I skimmed over the 'manifesto'.

It's more a suicide note. In his mind I think he already feels he's dead.

That's what I'm saying, he's not congruent. If he was only targeting the crooked cops he personally witnessed engage in corrupt actions or high ranking officers responsible for maintaing a culture of corruption, I could appreciate his dedication to his principles. But he's killing random cops and family members...so I'm not rooting for him.

Bro, first off. I'm a little worried that you're so willing to believe everything you read, especially by a perfect stranger.

Especially, considering his claims are in the face of a lot of PROVEN GOOD the LAPD has done. Every cop is not calling dead people their new car or letting people die because it's "the paramedics job". That's a load of shit right there.

A personal friend of mine has been awarded the Medal of Valor TWICE. He's the 4th person in LAPD history to have received that. It's a medal that is normally awarded posthumously. In his case he saved some lives both times at great peril to himself.

We we have a guy that was on the force 3 years killing people and you're not even considering that maybe he's crazy (even though he's killing cops and threatening to kill families etc) and maybe he's not giving an accurate account of what has happened.

Anyway to answer your question, I would handle it in a way that didn't involve me dying in the end or me killing others.

RE: Chris Dorner - LA ex-cop and his manifesto.
Quote:According to documents from a court of appeals hearing in October 2011, Dorner was fired after he made a complaint against his field training officer, Sgt. Teresa Evans. Dorner said that in the course of an arrest, Evans kicked suspect Christopher Gettler, a schizophrenic with severe dementia.

Richard Gettler, the schizophrenic man's father, gave testimony that supported Dorner's claim. After his son was returned on July 28, 2007, Richard Gettler asked "if he had been in a fight because his face was puffy" and his son responded that he was kicked twice in the chest by a police officer.

In his manifesto, Dorner claims he was punished by the department because he had "broken their supposed blue line" by reporting on a fellow officer.

Of course I don't condone his actions and killing of anyone, but I find it interesting that his superior whom he complained about using unnecessary violence during arrest was.... a woman? At least "Teresa" implies so.

Your arguments are slanted because you have a dog in the fight.

The fact is, he reported his feminist boss who was kicking a schizophrenic person in the head. Medical records of the victim, and his father's account, matched what the officer reported. He was then conspired against by his peers because he took the side of integrity instead of the "Blue Line."

Killing people may not be the answer, but they took away his life and his dreams. He's spent his entire life working to be in law enforcement, and an act of integrity in reporting police brutality took that all away. He grew up believing the fable of the US justice system, and after four years of appeals he's now realized what the system really is.

And for those of you who suggest he should've written a book, keep dreaming. Who would've bought it? Who would've ever heard of it? Check Amazon, there are plenty of books written by disgruntled cops. The fact is, his manifesto indicates he is more articulate and intelligent than 99% of other cops, and it's unfortunate that going on a killing spree is the avenue he needs to get his message across.

RE: Chris Dorner - LA ex-cop and his manifesto.
Quote:Why didn't you charge me with filing a false police report when I came forward stating that Evans kicked Mr. Christopher Gettler? You file criminal charges against every other officer who is accused and terminated for filing a false police report. You didn't because you knew I was innocent and a criminal court would find me innocent and expose your department for suppressing the truth and retaliation, that's why.

This story is fascinating. If you read the manifesto you'll see the police threw the book at him, except in charging him for filing a false police report. That is the one thing that would've created a public trial where he'd have subpoena power.
