There is a clear downtrend going on and I see it go down to 6K USD before we go up again to 16-17k (Because the halving is upcoming).

Coinbase for trading? Hahaha. Coinbase is just for holding bro and for noobs. I don't know about Canadanians but Americans don't have access to most Crypto Trading exchanges.

Rekt.

hahahahahaha That's what can easily happening if guys think they know too much about bitcoin including shorting in a likely BTC bull market (of course there are no guarantees that we are actually in a bull market, but it surely seems like we are - in spite of our seemingly long BTC price correction period - currently a bit over 3 months of such correction period). See the explainer on Buterin's Waterfall™®.

Quote:Product: Price of BTC under control. Life for USG. (Examples: Bitstamp and Coinbase)

BTC dumped by agents on public markets (The Ethereum raincloud)

1. A portion of the "energy" sustains the agent's "businesses"
2. USG Confiscators such as the National Security Agency and Department of Justice collect BTC pooling at the bottom (Silk Road v1 and V 2.0, Various Chumpatrons like pirateat40, vanilla idiots).
3. BTC plundered via Judicial and other means (e.g. malware) goes to loyal agents who know what is expected of them.
4. GOTO 1 (via evaporation)

This mechanism seems to have been the primary "bear" driver 2013 to present. As time has moved since 2014, you can sub "Mt Gox Trustee" et al for pirateat40 et al.

So they are alleging that bitcoin is a dark money funding scheme, like the CIA drug trade?

The hypothesis is organized periods of government dumping and redirection towards distraction coins under the control of agents more favorable to government.
I tweeted something similar recently. IMO it’s the central banks realizing their party is over and are trying to accumulate as much bitcoin as possible to treat like gold reserves on the down low. Any pleb sent away from bitcoin and to shitcoins is a win for them.

Bakkt volume reached its new all time high today, and the fed announced qe4 yesterday. Hashing power to a new ath as well. Everything is unfolding like we thought it would. Don’t let the powerful elite shake your bags with short term fud. If you believe in bitcoin and aren’t just a mindless speculator or trader, disregard the noise. It’s everywhere. They are threatened, we poked the bear. If they weren’t scared, they would ignore us.

I like to imagine them ("bags" that is) as anchor rockets. Banana

There you go. Just pure cycles and history of bitcoin in terms of prices..

FTFY - the showing of the above graph that you provided...

Of course, I should likely be characterized as bullish as anyone else, if not moreso, but frequently I am cautious in the way that I describe our predict future expecations in regards to BTC prices.

Sure, the graph is nice and fancy, and similar to a lot of graphs that are out there in bitcoinlandia discussion space, but the representations contained within that graph are far from any kind of guarantee regarding what is going to happen in the future (even though the representations attempt to describe characterize what has happened in the past and attempts to show a pattern and even likelihood), even if such pattern looks pretty solid when it appears in that graph.

RE: The Bitcoin (BTC) thread
We had a small correction above, but we didn't break the resistance from 8.750 USD yet. I believe, if we break this point, we are officially in a bull market and I will long. I lost 2 trades now, but I'm still profitable.

This 8.750 USD will be crucial and Ethereum went up like crazy, so BTC will follow likely (although, BTC has been always the trendsetter but alts like Ethereum can also be a good sign/indicator).

I wouldn't do shit if someone is trading atm.
