Germany didn't play like shit, they were completely starved off the ball by an excellent Spanish team which showed to be a much more complete team than Germany. Technically, Spain was head and shoulders way above Germany which is a true reflection of how good this Spanish team is. It'd be a shocking result if they don't win it on Sunday.

RE: Fifa World Cup
So 31 brave and determined teams arrived at the world cup (along with France) and now we are down to 2.

Germany played like shit.

1. They were nervous as hell
2. They weren't in form.
3. Thomas Mueller wasn't playing
4. No fighting spirit
5. Euro 2008.
6. Who the fuck told them to play defensively? They only started to play offensively after Spain scored. Wtf is up with that?

It's like they didn't care.

the whole team was on defence untill spain scored...then they were like ''lets wake up now,if we dont score now we are dead'' ..but this kind of spirit should hve been in start and through out the game.

i dont know what happend to them after beating argentina and england with 4 goals...they should ve gone further than that while playing spain.

That's their problem. They always play defensively. It's a psychological issue, when Spain scored they must have though: "oh well, we are fucked, so we might as well attack now."

I mean, they needlessly kept losing the ball, if stuff like that happens you know you will lose, they were out of form. Spain was outta form against Paraguay and IN form against Germany. It's like Euro 2008, same type of match.

Kneel to the amazing Paul the Octopus:

I only saw second half. I don´t know if it was due to the lack of Muller, but it was the worst game I saw Germany play. Even Ozil played like shit. They seemed to be afraid of the ball and Spanish Armada.

RE: Fifa World Cup
Yes Germany played their worst game, but a big part of that was due to the awesome opposition who completely starved the German team of the ball. For the first half hour or so, Germany crossed the midfield line only a couple of times and the ball possession was like 76% to Spain. This stat alone says a lot about the Spanish superiority. When you control the ball possession, the other team is left running after it and getting tired and frustrated. Which is what happened to the Teutons. It was a master tactical and football lesson from the Spaniards to the Teutons. Man by man, the Spaniards have the best players of all the 32 teams in South Africa. Spain's superiority is so overwhelming that they have not just 11 but 15-16 world class players on their roaster. Right now and for the past 2 years, they've been the best and most dominant and consistent team in the world. Their overall record since the 2006 World Cup is simply ridiculous: 52 games played, 47 won, 3 losses and 2 ties. Simply out of this world. Spain becoming World Champion on Sunday will only the be the logical crowning of a super generation. It would take something truly special for the Dutch to prevent that and should the Dutch somehow win it on Sunday, it would be considered one of the biggest upsets in recent memories in world football.

Iniesta was the most consistent player on the Spanish squad. It was the perfect finish for him.

I hope, HOPE that Forlan gets the MVP for the tournament or some high honor. He had one of the best goals this WC, and was on fire all the time.

RE: Fifa World Cup
That was a great world cup. It seemed like the team that was considered the favorite changed after every round. Many teams were so fun to watch, particularly Uruguay, Germany, and Argentina. Ultimately Spain won because they finally clicked when it counted but so many teams played well enough at one point to win it.

Who is going to Brazil in 2014?? I know I am.

I'll be in Brazil during the WC. My mom has a place in Porto Alegre where my cousin lives, so I'll be putting that to great use. Anyone on this board who haven't received their Brazilian flag yet, in four years it will be a GUARANTEE!

Incredible as it sounds Spain copied the model that Carlos Queiroz implemented in portuguese national football federation around 20 years ago. This team wasn´t build in a day. It´s the result of a long process. Also if you think that their squad can have the luxury on leaving players like Fabregas and Torres on the bench, you realise the overall quality of the team.
Iniesta for me is one of the best in the world. In the European Cup he was also decisive. Holland played rough. Robben had a great chance for goal that will probably haunt him like the missed penalty from Baggio did to him in 1994 WC. Holland will remain being the first of the loosers. And I´m glad they are.

The WC winner was decided in the game between Germany and Spain.

Don´t think it was a great WC, only good. For a WC to become historic there has to be a magic moment. To me the 1994 WC had that moment when Baggio missed the penalty kick also the double Romario-bebeto had good moments.
A hand of god, Maradona goal, Cruyff drible or something similar makes a WC historic. For it to happen the stars have to shine. It didn´t happen in this WC, Messi and Ronaldo sucked.

Would also like to see other teams in the final. At least an African team or some country besides Europe and SA. Europe now has more WC titles than SA.

Anyway felicitaciones Espana las merecen.

By only giving a yellow card for a karate kick to the chest? Right.

Not only fouls, you can't give 10 yellow cards and a red in a final match, only 4 of those yellow cards were supposed to be yellow, the remaining 6 weren't.
And by giving goal kicks instead of corner kicks to Spain is also an example of a shitty ref.

But the death kick from De Jong was red.

i cant believe a team won WC who has very low goal scoring ratio in finals most games with 1:0 and haven't delivered exciting football e.g wonderful goals and attacking...but what it says...its FOOTBALL.
