Huh

Have you seen the Pacers play over the last two months? Dude, they just lost to the 8th seeded Hawks at home lol. Indiana will be lucky to make it out of the 2nd round at this point. Unless Wade is injured again, no way I see them beating Miami.

Out of the West I am hoping for OKC to come out. If it's Spurs-Miami again I expect the Spurs to win in 6, they are a bad match-up for the Heat. If OKC makes it out of the West, I expect Miami to win in 6. Miami is a bad match-up for OKC.

Despite that first loss, the pacers are going to cruise in that series. They are too strong to falter against the Hawks.

Yeah, I think they will still win the series but the Pacers have been a below .500 team since the all-star break and have looked terrible. That's why I was surprised at you said that they will be unstoppable in the East. At this point I can Chicago upsetting them in the 2nd round and against Miami I give them no shot unless Wade is injured. They are not in a slump anymore, this is who they are. Their offense is absolutely terrible.

Lol you don't grow when your offense is absolutely garbage. Elite teams like Spurs, Miami, and OKC etc. which have been their before can grow in the playoffs and put it all together when they turn on the proverbial "switch" but Pacers have serious issues with their roster and PG just ain't a real superstar who can carry the team. People overrate them because they took Miami to 7 last year. I will be very surprised if they make the Finals.

I'm curious. Is this just regression to the mean? Is this just waht the pacers are? Have they always been this bad offensively and we just didn't know it? I mean, certainly PG was never a great shooter, and george hill can't make a shot to save his life...

The thing is they won 49 games last year, then got the right match-up against the Knicks (with a hurt Chandler) and Miami with no real center and a hurt Wade. To the casual fan they became a legit threat to Miami and they were. Then they started this season red hot with PG shooting unsustainable percentages on jumpers. It's definitely regression to the mean for PG and their offense has always been putrid but now it's being exposed as PG can't carry it like KD/LeBron/prime (Wade/Kobe)/Harden etc.

In reality they are a 50-55 win team which is a bad match-up for the Heat, nothing less, nothing more. I wouldn't put them in tier 1 with OKC, Spurs, Heat, and Clips. I mean even in this historically weak East they could only win 56 games.

I think the rumors are true. I think they have had some internal fighting. Certain guys don't like each other.

I also suspect that they are tired physically and mentally after pushing so hard in the regular season.

VP this isn't 2013, the pacers are looking terrible right now there is no way they make it out of the east let alone take down the powerhouse Heat. Heat-OKC in the finals I'm thinking.

I like the Heat but wish they had some competition in the east. It's a joke that Chicago is probably their biggest competition right now.

The west is going to beat eachother down so much and the Heat will be peaking by May.

RE: The NBA Thread
Well I got ATL winning in 6 games watching that game was a nightmare.

1. No traps or harassment on the ball, Teague just sliced or ran around picks
2. Roy Hibbert shouldn't even be in the game, never saw him close out once. Antic was able to hesitate on a half court set before letting a lot of those threes fly. Korver went 2/7 down town. That is not going to happen a lot.
3. Milsap is a matchup nightmare when they switch the pick and roll, he slides to the left block and fades like a poor man's Karl Malone. In addition, you slide under the pick and chest he hits the three (or even 4 point play) on the top of the arc from distance.
4. That game was not "close", they were playing catch up the whole game. PG is not good enough to go 1v1 all game.
5. You're seeing a mini eastern conference spurs-light team emerge, Teague is showing shades of Parker with a ton of finger rolls to the cup. Although that cross up for 3 was more of a Jamal Crawford type play than tony Parker ha!

ATL, ATL for the win.

---

Selling the date I the warriors game was the easiest of my life ha! After they won that stadium is gonna be crazier than the entire forum's ex girlfriends combined!

I still think the clips take it though, griffin was only in for 19 minutes. Props to David lee he stepped it up and was smooth around the rim.

---

I disagree with slayer if I see heat okc, I see them winning. If I see heat spurs... I think the heat are in trouble, they are playing way too well and kawahi Leonard is a underrated near superstar for all he does on defense + punishing your defense for not closing up on him.

Vacancier Permanent - Google 'Vipbox' it will be the first link that comes up. I was round my buddies last night and he used that to to stream the Clips/Dubs game and Pacers/Hawks. I'm not promising HD or nothing but the quality was pretty good when we streamed Pacers/Hawks.

If not just Google something like 'nba playoff free stream' or something and poke around, you'll find one.

Dallas are still an underrated team. SA obviously showing the even year curse is bullshit. They're serious.

Still, Dirk will make a comeback. What the Mavs lacked the last 6 minutes is Dirk time. Obviously credit to the SA D. But he'll come back.

Still can't totally forgive the Spurs for the Steve Nash hip-check...but man it's hard to root against them the last 2 years.

The Spurs experience and talent made the difference at the end.

Amazing to see Timmy still put in the minutes and numbers night in night out. What a player!
Great to see Manu showing he's still a great asset!

When the Spurs play as they know as a very we'll oiled unit, they are a beautiful and deadly efficient basketball team and are a joy to watch.

Funny tough that year in year out, they are overlooked and underrated by fans and so called pundits. Once again, they are going ton"surprise" a few teams and people this year as well. Yet again.

That's because fans and "pundits" don't know anything.

They are just like "betas" in the sex game.

Or, like the average investor on Wall St.

They are clueless and will get slaughtered!

"Hip checks" and hard fouls are a part of playoff basketball.

You should blame the coaching staff and bench players of The Suns. They are supposed to know the rules and consequences for breaking them!!!

NEVER COME OFF THE BENCH DURING A FIGHT!

It was all a mind game. A mind game that the Spurs won.

RE: The NBA Thread
I don't think the Spurs are really underrated by anyone in the media anymore at least they weren't this year or last. Last year, no one really gave the Heat a chance in the Finals, perhaps for good reason. This year most pundits on ESPN and FSN have crowned the Spurs despite the fact that they really have no answer to KD. Assuming OKC stays healthy, that's gonna be a very epic series between OKC and San Antonio.
