All 4 series tied up 1-1. This will be an interesting week of playoff basketball.

Amazed to see the Rockets play so casually and so soft! Incredible!

What's going on with the Rockets? Any Rockets experts care to enlighten us? Kai?

It's the turnovers man. They gotta stop doing that. Giving Harden more mins is key as well. Coach cannot be conservative about that. If James needs to play 45 mins, so be it. It's play or go home now.

Their defense, while terrible, if taken into consideration that the Clippers are one of the best offensive teams in the NBA (2nd best I believe), it is hard to keep them down on alot of points.

^^ Yeah though foul trouble was an issue for the Rockets as well.

If I recall correctly, Harden had 4 fouls in the start of the third Game 2, so he had to sit almost the entire quarter.

I'm especially enjoying the matchup between Howard and Jordan.

The nba is the most corrupt league in sports outside boxing and soccer. The 2 that make it to the finals will be the 2 that draw the most viewers. It will go 6-7 games also.

What a great observation captain_shane.

Is that why the Spurs just made two finals in a row? Is that why it went 5 games? And I suppose the NBA wanted Kevin Love to get injured so that Atlanta could make it to the NBA finals?

Come on dude.

Ah, yes. This tired old nonsense.

In addition to what Blackwell said I guess that's why LeBron before Miami and prime Kobe during 08-10 never met in the Finals. I mean prime Kobe vs. LeBron wouldn't draw a lot of viewers. Who the hell wants to see that.

Washington is going to take it. As long as Wall is healthy, that is.

What a great time to be a Basketball fan!

Gotta feel so good for Rose. To come back from those injuries and be vindicated in the end!

Not to be corny, but man I felt a bit emotional seeing him hit that shot. With all he's gone through trying to get back to the hardwood the last couple of years, and how this team's stood through it all, you have to be insane if you're not rooting for this team to win it all.

There is more but I am too tired to look up the rest.

Tim Donaghy was definitely a black-mark on the league but that doesn't mean that the entire league is fixed.

Again, at it a very basic level, I have talked about this before. Fixing the league for these billionaires doesn't really make financial sense while risking serious charges if they are ever caught.

The league is already making billions of dollars. They get their TV money regardless of whatever team makes the Finals.

The reality is that NBA reffing is very hard and subjective. People expect refs to make perfect calls but that's simply impossible.

You as a Houston fan should know the hate people have for James Harden because they think he's only good because of the refs but he's actually a skilled player.

Glad to see my Bulls win this game! Even better my dude D-Rose finishing it off the way he did. His stone-faced expression said it all, as if he was saying "I'm here bitches and stronger than ever."

They said he was finished, he should retire, he's not the same, he's a quitter. Yet here he is making game winning 3's in the playoffs proving people wrong. Great game by Rose. So great to see!

Dubs aren't winning anything significant this season if Curry is going to get outplayed by a guy with a broken face.

Grizzlies playing like real Grizzlies, suffocating the highflying Splash Bros!

Steph has been struggling since his MVP title!

I can see the Griz playing like that to "upset" the red hot fav Warriors. Heck, I am going to make a bold claim right here that the finals may well be a family affair this year between the Gasol Brothers. Who would have thought it?

RE: The NBA Thread
Man I've been saying Grizz-Bulls fora while...although the Clippers might spoil it for the Gasol brothers. Even when the Grizz dipped at the end of the season, and people said Rose would suck, I had faith.

People laughed at me when I harped on Harden and the Rockets but if you've played sports at a high level you know to bet on the following guys in crunch time:

-Guys who bust their face open and still come out to play hounding D, and get physical

-Guys who are going to have the grit to beat the defending champions with a busted hamstring with ice cold daggers

-Guys who are going to fight through years of injuries to come out with a vengeance and shut up all the haters.

-You bet on players who have a serial killer mentality. Who enjoy pain. Guys who will let you clock them in the face and then smirk back as if saying "that all you got?"

You do not bet on guys that stop playing with 3 minutes left in a playoff game when you are only down 8 points. That kind of stuff leaves a bad taste in your mouth as a fan of the game, or sports in general. I'm surprised none of the networks commented on that more. If that were my team, I'd be calling them out publicly.

Intangibles are underrated as hell in Championship play. Drive beats plain talent almost every time in the crunch. If you have both then you're golden.

Now I wouldn't be so rough on the Warriors as to start calling them JV players.

1) They tried and made it close at the end.
2) Tony Allen is tough to score on. Even Kobe had a tough time dealing with him against the Celtics back in his prime.
3) When you start hounding shooters with physical defense and hits for a long time, their legs and back will start to give out as the game/series goes on. This will cause a jump shooting team to start missing shots they would normally make easily.

Steph struggling has nothing to do with the MVP award, it's all Mike Conley!

You don't get there till you get there
