RE: The NBA Thread
Toney getting a little respect. This guy could take the last shot with any NBA player in history. Ainge of the Celtics admits in this video that he feared Toney more than MJ.

RE: The NBA Thread
So, who was Dr. J before Dr. J, Jordan before Jordan, Kobe before Kobe and Rodman before Rodman?

Nice short history lesson on Elgin Baylor, who shouldn't be forgotten.

RE: The NBA Thread
Elgin's the best player to never win a championship.

Baylor 11x All-Star: 1959-1965, 67-70
10x All-NBA First Team: 1959-65, 67-69

8 NBA Finals trips (7 in 9 years), 2 game Game 7's away from 2 more.

3 Game 7 losses in the NBA Finals.

The Celtics Dynasty and the '70 Knicks kept him from being remembered as a champion.

By all accounts I hear he was a good guy, who as an NBA exec with the Clippers kept getting screwed over by bad luck and ownership.

Just curious. Did anybody see any kneeling or anthem protests/fists in the air during the MLK day games?

Anyone sports bet? I couldn't find a post about it. Would be cool to get insight on others picks for the day.

I was going to go to the Nuggets vs. Raptors game today in Denver but not taking a risk with corona.

NBA "consulting" with CDC:

Quote:The NBA released a statement saying they were consulting with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention about the coronavirus.

"The health and safety of our employees, teams, players and fans is paramount. We are coordinating with our teams and consulting with the CDC and infectious disease specialists on the coronavirus and continue to monitor the situation closely," said the NBA in a statement.

There are no immediate plans to postpone games or hold them in empty arenas.

Soccer matches in Italy have been postponed due to outbreak concerns.

The NHL and MLB are also keeping tabs on the coronavirus.

"We are in regular communication with our clubs on the issue and have passed along best practices being recommended by CDC and Public Health Canada medical experts. Most of these steps are common sense precautions, but there definitely involves consciousness raising," said NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly.

As a Denver Nuggets fan, I hope they draft with the 24th pick in the 2020 NBA draft from Argentina....Leandro Bolmaro (the next Manu Ginobili)

Quote:ESPN.com | Jonathan Givony | Updated Feb. 16
24. Leandro Bolmaro, SG, Barcelona

Height: 6-7 | Age: 19

Givony didn’t expound on what makes Bolmaro desirable for the Nuggets at No. 24, but his ESPN colleague Mike Schmitz had this to say in a December article: “A well-rounded athlete with a tireless motor and a flair inspired by fellow Argentinian Manu Ginobili, Bolmaro offers real versatility. He can play off of others as a slashing, cutting wing or function as a big point guard.” See Givony’s full mock draft.

Just look at the content ESPN and Woke center is trying to push without sports to cover.

"Cheryl Miller reveals her favorite random ingredients for grits and spaghetti."

You can only get so creative .......... their bad ratings are going to tank even more in the coming months.

They should just play historic sports events.

Even do what the Suns are planning, simulate their remaining games in video game format

RE: The NBA Thread
Hopefully when many famous people that can actually get tests, and test positive and don’t get sick, maybe some of the fear mongering will die down

But I doubt it
