RE: Transgendered superhero being marketed toward kids
Kids will emulate what they see on tv. How do I know?

1. I was a kid.
2. My brother was a kid.
3. I have two boys who were kids.
4. My brother-in-law was a kid.

What did we all have in common? We all emulated what we saw on tv. We all wanted to be "that superhero" or the Dukes of Hazard guys or the A-Team guys or Kobe Bryant or Aaron Rogers. We wanted to be those guys and all acted it out.

Of course, you may take the high road and brush it off as no big deal, but there is always a reason and agenda for stuff like this. After all, why else would they have a stupid Captain Planet superhero? Could that have something to do with a green agenda? No....never.....not in a million years. Just a coincidence that someone put that together.

To be clear, I think that sexuality has both nature and nurture elements to it.

I just don't particularly see trans people as a problem. If you want to do that, go for it.

I chill in NYC, there are gay/trans/effeminate dudes all over. Makes an actual man stand out.

Yeah. Who would want to stop pollution?

Fucking idiots. Probably gay as well.

There is plenty of japanimation with futanari(a woman that grows a retractable penis). So far as I know, it hasn't increased or decreased the trans genders in japan relative to other countries.

Of course an agenda is possible, even likely, I just need to know more about the show than I do now to know exactly what that agenda might be.

But here's the question: how did you guys happen to choose Dukes of Hazard, A-Team, or Kobe Bryant to emulate? Why didn't you choose Gem or Rainbow Brite, or Doug Funnie from that Nickelodeon show? Or Joey Gladstone from Full House? Or Steve Urkel? If you watched Fresh Prince, were you more likely to emulate Will or Carl? When I was a kid, I probably saw Disney's Cinderella as many times as I saw Star Wars, and while I enjoyed both when it came time to play I emulated Luke or Han but never any character from Cinderella. I'd play as Darth Vader before I'd play as Prince Charming. I might have pretended to be ET a few times, because he's funny with his whole neck thing and magic finger, but then when you think about it ET is pretty alpha anyway so I doubt that hurt anything.

My point is that if boys are gravitating to Shezow AND having a burning desire to play dress-up with the girls on a regular basis (and not as some kind of one-time joke) there's probably a lot more going on than TV show selection.

Did you know any kids in the 90s who routinely played 'Captain Planet'? That show was competing with the likes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Men, Batman: The Animated Series, and Gargoyles? I must admit being dismayed at the popularity of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers during that time, but I only ever heard about Captain Planet as a punch line. It was a stupid show with idiotic characters who had to go running to a blue and green douchebag to save them from their own fuckups in every episode.

I wonder how many guys turned gay because of the ambiguously gay duo from snl

RE: Transgendered superhero being marketed toward kids
The part that bothers me is that a man has to give up his masculinity and become a female before it's OK for him to assert power. That's the scary part to me. A whole generation of boys are going to grow up believing they have to give up their balls to be relevant.

Some people just cannot help themselves but fuck with the minds & perceptions of kids. let them grow up before they have to deal with this shit. Indoctrination over education once again I suppose

RE: Transgendered superhero being marketed toward kids
Doesn't matter, no one is going to become transgendered from watching a cartoon and a cartoon with a girl superhero will be a mega flop with kids. Children do not understand political correctness yet and they will keep wanting to watch strong male heroes and pretty princess females. I'd love to see them try to push this show just to watch nutty ideologues of both sides proven wrong - liberals for wishing that human nature could be influenced and conservatives for fearing that human nature could be influenced.

What actually angers me is the indoctrination that might have actual effects like, say, Captain Planet from when I was a kid. Goddamned communist bullshit with a multiculti gang of treehuggers as the heroes and some rich white guy as the evil mastermind employing thuggish working class whites, every single episode, and some kids actually watched this crap. This stuff works because it doesn't actually attempt to fight human nature, it just tries to influence political preferences by creating associations.

And go make a cartoon of a girl that needs to transform into a guy to fight the baddies and you will have a PR hell.

I'm not outraged, really. I'm learning to just accept that nearly everything is a revolting parody of itself, and that fiddling by the light of the Roman inferno is the only sensible reaction.
