Grow up. This isn't reddit or the youtube comment section. The members here respect one another and when disagreements occur, sides present their position in mature, controlled way without resorting to juvenile attempts of snark.

I wonder sometimes if you truly believe your predictions or if they are so greatly exaggerated for attention.

No one will be hauling middle aged and boomer women into any courts in the next few years.

We will not see this in the next few years, and I very much doubt we would see that in our lifetime. It is completely unrealistic, and these absolutist prophecies don't help further any arguments or activism for the Pro-Life camp. It also drags down the quality of discussion on the forum with more Doomer extremism.

Right...like when you made that snarky comment about me not lasting the weekend.

Why did you make that comment?

RE: What Are Your Thoughts on Abortion?
Ignoring the blow-in, what disturbs me the most about this issue is that it's a perfect example of the frog in the pot of slowly heating water.

Back when abortion activists first tried this crap on it was "if the mother's health is in jeopardy only" and some people didn't like it but what was the point of carrying the child if both mother and child were likely to die? Anyway, it wasn't like it was ever going to be legal for women to have abortions just because they wanted one, right? I mean, only the fringe whackos were talking about that shit.

Boom. At-will abortions for first trimester becomes the new battleground "because women shouldn't have to destroy their whole life just to mature a clump of cells that isn't really a human, right?" Anyway, it wasn't like it was an invasive procedure. It wasn't like they were going in and cutting up a tiny humanoid in the womb, right? Never going to happen. Ignore that the middleground driftwood were now conceding to what was previously the position of the fringe whackos, but now the fringe whackos were the ones talking about second trimester abortion. Fucking sick, right? Never going to happen. Those people are completely off the planet.

Boom. Second trimester abortions becomes the new battleground "because women shouldn't have to destroy their whole life just to mature a barely humanoid non-sentient tumor, right?" Anyway, it's not like it's a proper human being yet, and obviously this is where it ends. There's no way they're going to legalise abortions on near-fully matured babies in the womb. Ignore that the middleground driftwood were now conceding to what was previously the position of the fringe whackos, but now the fringe whackos were the ones talking about third trimester abortion. Fucking sick, right? Never going to happen. Those people are completely off the planet.

I give some cred for the 0 repper trying to argue with the entire forum. I think this member is a woman, breaking a major forum rule. At least it seems so from the sarcastic argument style. 0 Rep is still a status of male feminist though, which would account for this type of thinking. Stick around and you can someday be a chubby chaser like me. Or an innovative casanova Like L.Nebauche

On another note, blue bayou is an awesome username. Reminds of this classic Roy Orbinson tune. He was so underrated.

A guy I know once summed this up as "you know what the next step will be ?
It's always the one they promise will never come while they are getting the current one".

So for instance we had civil unions for gays, and the authorities promised they would never get marriage.
Then we got marriage for gays, and they promised they would never get adoption.
Then adoption got opened to everyone (before it was only open to "couples having difficulties conceiving", after it was single lesbians, gay couples, or even straight fertile couples, anybody really), and they promised they would never open assisted reproductive procedures (IVF etc) to everyone.
Then of course they got that, and promised they would never combine this with surrogacy (gestational).
At this point you can pretty much get a baby made which has nothing of you, and the current promise is that you will never be able to choose their genetic caracteristics (eye/hair color, height, IQ, whatever ..).

I'm sure I missed some steps in the list, but frankly at this stage I am 100% sure that in 10 years you can enter your credit card number on some website, configure your baby and have it delivered to your door in 9 months.
Maybe even less, if you want the same tall muscular blue-eyed blonde male aryan as everybody else .. who knows, they might have one in stock waiting for you already !

Sorry I hurt your feelings

This board has an unwritten law in that users with few posts or rep points are not allowed to argue with members with more posts and/or rep points. So, a high repped member can insult you and if you insult that member back you're out of here.

A lot of "mid-tier" members with medium amounts of posts and rep points always comes out of the woodwork to defend the more high post count members in discussions, just like the beta wolves come to defend their alpha. Many of them probably don't even know why they're doing it, they are just acting on pure instinct.

It's quite interesting to observe pack mentality in humans. And internet forums are a great way to do so.

RE: What Are Your Thoughts on Abortion?
I never found this topic to be particularly black and white. As I said previously, I am against abortion. That is about as black and white as this topics gets for me.

Sure, outside of self-defense killing should be punishable. I think most all of society can agree on that.

Now we are getting into the weeds of what is alive. How can a fetus grow if it isn't alive? I never understood that line of thinking.

Anyway, the issue I have is making a woman carry a child she absolutely wants to get rid of. That is where it gets murky to me. I don't doubt she will find other means of getting rid of the baby. Booze, drugs, back alley abortions. All of which can permanently hurt her not to mention what it would do to the baby even if the baby was delivered.

Some may say she deserves to be hurt. I don't agree. I guess it boils down to what you believe.

I believe we were put on this earth with free will for a reason. To help us learn and grow through our mistakes and experiences. Without it we are just programmed bots running around and bumping into things.

I don't believe in religions, since I seem them as hate based. Regardless of what I believe, l couldn't understand how a religious person would want another person to be harmed if they had chosen the wrong path and wanted to rid themselves of their child.

Do we give people who has chosen this a way to do so without jeopardizing their health permanently? Or do we say fuck them and let them suffer?

Personally, I don't want to let anyone suffer, hence this isn't black and white to me.

Now if you don't believe in anything, then I guess you wouldn't care about abortion. Or maybe I am wrong and welcome clarification from those that don't believe in a afterlife.

What I absolutely would like to see, is a ban on any type of propaganda pushing women to abort children. There is no reason for that to exist and encourage something that they may not have even contemplated if it wasn't for said propaganda. It was truly sickening see women coming out with pride about their abortions. Free will can be a bitch at times. Planned Parenthood and the like has commercialized abortion.

If you dont want the child give it up for adoption. There are plenty of orphanages and people who can't have kids.

In a healthy society I'm against abortion, but in our current broken society upside down world, I don't care what people do, particularly leftists and scum. Let the weak kill their offspring.

We are in the last stage of this cycle, there wont be an option to skip the next stage and go right to the good times again. Pro life activism is largely a waste of time right now (there will be no peaceful change).

I have had a girl abort, If she had it it would have been a disaster.

All you guys against abortion, if you were blind drunk, horny, didn't use a condom or did and it broke. The girl you had sex with was hot as fuck, but for any one of a million reasons would be a terrible mother and or wife. For example you found out a week later she was thinking of transitioning to become a man.

What would you do?

Desperate times call for desperate measures and we live in desperate times.

YES! And what if she was impregnated by a horrific alien! And that alien-human hybrid would go on to destroy humanity!

No. The circumstances don't change the morality.

Not a fucking thing. In your hypothetical situation I'm sure I don't OWN this woman since we haven't gone back to more enlightened times.

If I did, I'd make sure she didn't abort. Since I don't, I'd have to just try to convince her not to. Would I wife her up? Fuck no.

Do you think most men would commit murder to avoid inconvenience in the future?

RE: What Are Your Thoughts on Abortion?

I am against abortion in general, but this is a great fucking question that deserves an answer.

Wife, daughter, mum raped by evil scum and pregnant. Abortion or no abortion?

Other tricky one is if it has severe health defects.

I am an atheist, and dead against abortion, but these two cases have me questioning that position.

Anyone have some wisdom?
