I personally can't but I've had friends who are Filipino and Indonesian do VERY well in Paris. They said there were always getting eyed on the street. Personally I recommend Vienna and Montreal, especially if you are Japanese/Chinese.

Manilaguy- how would you say Central America is towards half-Asians? You said you fared well as a combination of Asian/Pacific Islander, so do you think a half-japanese half-caucasian guy would do well?

YoungGunner, can you elaborate a bit more on Montreal and Vienna? I passed through Vienna on a train and the city looked impeccable, really keen to visit actually. And Montreal has been on my list for a long time..
In Montreal I focused heavily on day game, as I was with family most of the time but also had a few free days to set up meets with girls whose numbers I got using day game. I manage to get a blower but unfortunately no bang. Since Montreal has a good representation of diverse nationalities in the population with lots of tourists the locals seem pretty hospitable to foreigners. I'm half-Japanese so the girl I found myself with might have found that attractive, but after seeing many of the white local girls, including Italians, and some settled latin-american women with well-dressed Asian men I concluded that the idea of well cultured Asian man is very appealing to the locals, as Montreal has a sizable China town and many of the men there who don't really put effort into style or game have made the girls curious for non-settled, sophisticated Asians. A major factor though is just the attitude of Montreal girls towards foreigners in general, though I don't know how that specifically applies for each race. If you want that you should check out a thread here specific to Montreal. Also, having a good hotel and cozy restaurant can be a huge catalyst during the winter. They might cost a little penny but I suggest: http://www.fairmont.com/queenelizabeth/ -bathrooms are slick, black marble. Great views of the city, awesome food, and connects to the underground mall. The Concierges are also extremely helpful for finding local events

for food: http://www.restaurantaupieddecochon.ca/

As for Vienna, I only managed to skew out a make out on a school trip there for four days but I remember getting a LOT of looks and approaches from girls when I was walking by myself during my time there. Classical music is big part of culture there so this might be a minor reason the women there might find Asians attractive is that they associate Asians with being good at musical instruments. My Japanese grandfather was a conductor and studied in Vienna, and said that in his time there the women appreciated his pursuit of the arts, even though he wasn't that great of a musician at the time.

Awesome, I will definitely check out Montreal. It's pretty much the only Canadian city I'm interested in. I used to train on the violin for over 10 years so certainly have an appreciation for classical music. The few Austrian girls I have met and spoken to have all been extremely open to Asian guys.. I would concur with your comments on Vienna although keen to find out for sure.

Hey guys -

Do you think Asian men have better luck in a country like Colombia where there aren't many Asians around, or one like Brazil or Peru with a large Asian population?

I have a feeling the ones with more Asians would have the same old stereotypes as the US, Australia, Canada, etc.

I've met a few Asians who grew up in South America(Bolivia, Ecuador) and they so chill and laid back compared to Asians from the US or Asia.

Well I'm about to find out soon! If my experience in central america is any indication, you will have excellent chances as the locals are receptive to the exotic factor. Though you still have to pull your own weight.

tambien, si hablas bien espanol, vas a llevar la ventaja en conquistar las chicas. (if you speak good Spanish, you will have the advantage).

Remember, you make your own reality - demolish any insecurities and have fun!

How the hell would they know? At best it will be second hand knowledge.

There is a worldwide travel guide for Indian guys half way down the page. Why not post it there?

You are a complete and utter moron.

I'm not sure this is entirely accurate, but I feel like when people on this forum say "Asian" guy they mean Asia-Pacific, as in China/Taiwan/Japan/Korea/Vietnam and not India/Pakistan/Bangladesh.

lol I just noticed that Deebios has a custom title of "Indian Troll."

This issue has been beaten to death. As an East Asian guy I've done well in the US, which is "bad" for my race.

Get over the race thing. Girls bang cool dudes.

I want to re-post that pic of that dude holding the cell phone from the troll thread, with the caption "I need to know if one White girl will sleep with me before I learn game."

Hilarious.

Deebios, to remove your negative post I suggest you try to add some posts that provide some value to other people - perhaps a writeup about places you have been in the past.

No, I'm saying the US is supposedly "bad" for Asian dudes but I haven't necessarily felt that way, at least on the east coast.

Interesting...

I've been hitting the pavement hard the past month in a typical rust belt American city and have been noticing some trends. My margin of error with mainstream white girls or americanized latinas/europeans is real low. Outside the mainstream the reception is better.

With all other races I don't have to put as much effort in. It's day and night. With a majority of full/half/qtr asian girls I just have to say "hi" - most likely due to lack of asian men with their act together in this city.

Now I'm no big slouch and have done alright for myself across all races in the past but they are mostly from college/social circle. Are there facets I could improve on? Definitely yes, but I'd like to think I'm above the norm.

But I'm curious as to what your strategy is. Not many asian guys attempt this so there is a lack of detailed info other than vague suggestions.

Which niches do you target?
Venues?
Style?
Strategies in the conversation?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated

RE: The Asian Guy Travel Thread
The only time I ever really did game actively was in Philadelphia in 2009. My strategy was direct day game following entropy's method and that was very effective for me across the board. It also saved me a lot of money that I didn't have to spend going out and getting drunk.

Venues - retail strip between 8th/Walnut and Rittenhouse Square. Stores like Macys and Zara.

Go to entropy's blog and you will get a step by step guide for how to do that. That, or PM him on this forum.

None of my strategy is related to my race. I rely on unique life experiences and cocky/funny/ironic humor to get dates.

It helps that I am better looking and better dressed than most Asian guys.

If you are already hitting a bunch of races across the board from your social circles then I might not be in a position to help you out.

I'm not a PUA or big time player of any kind. 90 percent of the information I contribute to this forum is about business and travel.

To add to YMG's suggestion I think one thing that really helps him is the large amount of travel and living in other countries that he has done.
A well traveled guy already has a big advantage over 90 percent of guys.

YMG,

I went to Entropy's blog but I couldn't find anything about Day Game.

Do you have a link for that step by step Day Game guide???

I will also contact him directly.

Thanks,

Hmm... I went through a short phase where I tried day game but unfortunately couldn't find a high traffic area like you can find in DC/NYC and concluded it was an inefficient use of time. I might give it a shot again looking specifically at festivals/art shows etc... I've been doing entirely night right now.

Quote:None of my strategy is related to my race. I rely on unique life experiences and cocky/funny/ironic humor to get dates.

I have a similar approach. However to be brutally honest, the race thing feels like a beast caged in a corner of my mind. 97% of the time I'm out it's tamed and I'm not aware of my race and handle most things thrown my way fairly well. However, there's that 3% during a perfect storm the beast is released and just eats away at my state. Learning to control it is enjoyable and definitely toughening me up mentally.

Quote:If you are already hitting a bunch of races across the board from your social circles then I might not be in a position to help you out.

No need to be modest. I don't think any one of us has the complete solution but all of us have a piece of the puzzle. The trick is accumulating enough information so that the larger picture is understood. There has to be some lurkers reading this thread with information BUT ARE TOO SHY TO POST.

The conclusion that I seem to be arriving at is that some degree of overcompensation be it life experience, dress/style, alphaness, verbal agility, etc.. is required. The word overcompensation used here would mean "better at life" rather than "better at something to assuage insecurities". Additionally (at least at night) the immediate positive reaction within the first 15min that I'm used to should not be expected when dealing with mainstream girls. Aspects of my game just need to be tweaked that much tighter.

Reading some posts from Assanova have been instructive as well, as he overcompensates in certain aspects to overcome his black stereotype.

I'm definitely getting a feeling that this is a puzzle that can be cracked. That being said I just had a botched ONS with a bar skank last night.

I second Giovanny's request. It would be great if you could post the link.

Cheers

Only way to tell is to go and find out for yourself... I am asian male, visited Dominican Republic and Brazil years ago... my opinion is Asian guy MUST speak Spanish (or Portuguese if going to Brazil). If only speaking English, results will be meager even if he is good looking... spend at least 2-3 months learning Spanish with Pimsleur first before trip to L.America... btw don't forget Mexico next door... girls there in 2nd 3rd tier cities are very sweet, feminine...

RE: The Asian Guy Travel Thread
Thought I'd chime in with my two cents a full year after the last post. I'm Korean American, early 30's, have pretty extensive travel experience.

I noticed that in Panama a lot of the local girls were open to the idea of Asian guys. Probably helps that there are Chinese immigrants that have been there for seven generations, but I found it relatively easy to use my decrepit Espanol in opening girls at Multicentro and Multiplaza shopping malls in Panama City during the day, particularly 3-4 days after payday. Closed a bank services manager at HSBC the day after I set up an account there... Was also able to "shore" a Colombian working girl after repeatedly telling her "yo no pago por el sexo" but gaming her all the same.

Still, that's not to say you won't get some flak and not have to roll with the punches: had quite the heater at the craps table at the Veneto casino and in the 35 minutes before sevening out, I was called "chino", "Bruce Lee", "Jackie Chan" and "hijo de Fujimori" more times to my face than in my previous 30 years combined. Still, it was relatively good natured ribbing and walking away with some pink chips didn't hurt either.

Hey, similar stats here: KA, late 20's, flags all over the world, mostly with European and E Asian girls.

I had such a similar exp in Vegas, but I would usually hit back with something funny too: old white guy with beard became "Colonel Sanders," bald white jacked dude was "Mr. Clean," etc.. I used the Colonel Sanders and Mr. Clean line at one go, and it had the whole table laughing their asses off. I'm sure there's no shortage of actual racists present anywhere you go, but I generally observe the Pareto Rule whenever I can, the 80-20 percent estimate that would say that 80% of the people you meet are just ribbing you out for fun while the other 20% have a huge tree-trunk stuck up their ass and are to be ignored. There's also no better way to gain instant kudos among strangers than to be the guy who breaks their stereotypes. Take everything as a joke, and they will be.

I have no exp in SA, but I did really well in Europe, particularly France. I'll have to write up a data sheet one of these days, but for KA's, it doesn't get easier than finding and getting in with the local Koreans (you know how we like to group together!) and they give you straight up access to the local French girls who actively seek out Asian guys.

I did alright in the US as well, particularly in NYC, and so I personally don't understand all the anti-US women sentiment. If a girl's giving you shit for no reason in ANY country, next her and go onto someone cooler. The talent pool in NY, in my exp, is so diverse and varied that there's a girl/guy for everybody, literally. I picked up several girls from the NYU/Village area alone and met my last LT gf from there so I party there frequently. I don't do well in the Murray Hill area where girls go looking for white frat boys who party like they've never left college, so...I don't party there. Not rocket science.

I just wanted to say I enjoyed reading all this insight from an Asian guy living in Texas. I've posted on quite a few topics on the regular Rooshv.com website, but will post more detailed info from my travels at night when work/class ends. Take care!

RE: The Asian Guy Travel Thread
great thread. wanted to add my experiences being an american mix (half peruvian, half japanese), having traveled a lot to peru, and living now in europe.

broad generalizations, but here we go:

1. being an asian american male in the states ain't so great. asian men aren't seen as masculine. white chicks prefer white guys. we know that.

2. but in latin america, it ain't so great either. growing up, i would have people make fun of me in both the states and peru for being asian. simple as that.

3. in europe, some girls actually *like* asian men, meaning, sometimes it is a flat out advantage. there is very little stigma to be an asian or asian looking male. this is a huge difference. from mostly a negative to mostly a positive. it's like an interception in the end zone returned for a touchdown, a 14 point swing haha.

so that's it. i don't know about asia itself, although my guess is that most asian american men don't want an asian chick. the only guys i have met really into asian girls are white dudes.

RE: The Asian Guy Travel Thread
Profile - Half Taiwanese/Half Vietnamese 5-9 guy who grew up in Texas, but has also lived in both Taiwan/Vietnam. Sense of style yes, well dressed, good sense of humour, and my last resort move is at least having girls laugh at me if not with me, which does open doors. Advanced Level Languages - English & Brazilian Portuguese almost bc of school, Intermediate - Mandarin (not literate) & Spanish, Beginner - Vietnamese

Views on North American Women -
I'm a big fan of them. As Roosh said, you're not going to do well overseas if you have no game for the North America setting. At age 28 though, I'm about to leave my job, go back to grad school, start a campus job trying to reinvent my path whereas most American chicks want to get wed, invest in mortage/kids they can't afford, and use all of their vacation time on out of town weddings or "go to the beach" all while ending up in divorce wishing they could've lived their 20's differently. I haven't had a serious gf here since 2 years ago, who was an amazing person but work/leisure/family-related travels and a very close grandmother who deceased naturally ended things. I could see myself marrying an American girl later on as there are a ton of single beauties in their 30's and up (lots of divorced cougar-ish ones too) in the DFW area, but it's more fun to travel and experience more intl women now. I do however see a lot of Asian guys with white wives around here in Dallas/Ft. Worth area that have kids, etc.

Universal Travel Tip for Asian Males -
When traveling overseas esp to Europe as an Asian guy, you want to play the culture card. Take a vested in every bit of European culture as you can..esp ones you are visiting by learning local words, etc. Also talk about spending some time in the countries of your ethnicity whether you lived there or not as people will be curious about you. It's particularly helpful if you have lived there too bc you can provide "tips" in case they want to visit those places It's exotic for them when you talk about the time you spent in your motherland, fatherland, etc.

I appreciate you reading my background information. The premise is to not sound pretentious, but it's key because a big tip is to get a feel for your own background, qualities, attributes, and experiences you already possess in order to make yourself more marketable in the outside world, which is important in any aspect of life whether it be getting a new position or gaming chicks. I've probably had experiences and influences you guys have never had, and you in turn have had a different set of influences I've never had. The primary key is to evolve later in life as a result of the things we've already experienced. First impressions are not everything, but they are very important in all facets of life. Who knows..the North American chick who might not be as curious/intuitive about your culture off the bat might be brownie points towards pulling a Scandinavian or Polish chick (true story).
