Anyway I'm stealing this quote from someone else but I thought it was funny/true when I read it...it goes something like: "Saying Zyzz inspired you to take up weightlifting is like saying Justin Bieber inspired you to learn how to sing."

I think Roosh's article applies here:

http://www.returnofkings.com/17501/ameri...ual-nation

Winston Churchill, General Pershing, Teddy Roosevelt, and countless other inspirational figures are "worm food" but they still did and continue to inspire millions. Zyzz isn't exactly the most inspirational model as his behavior was quite self-indulgent and narcissistic, but he inspired people because he showed that it was indeed possible to get from rail-thin skinny to big/lean. His transformation is inspirational, his lifestyle is not.

The guy died at 22 from heart attack, his mother worked in cardiology.

Wikipedia Quote: "An autopsy revealed a previously undiagnosed congenital heart defect. His family stated he had shown several minor symptoms in the few months leading up to August, including high blood pressure and occasional shortness of breath. He had a family history of heart problems."

I do wonder about the mental health a person that goes to this extreme. Seemed like a pretty self obsessed kind of guy.

RE: Now this is motivational
Mixed opinions, and I can see why. But saying his body is whatever is absurd.

This is the body that will get you the most girls.
The big freaks will push away many polite society girls.
This guy can suit up and look very proper.

Those pecs, shoulders and arms in a well-fitted t-shirt is going to have girls grab him hardcore.
Aim for this and you will be doing fine.

The motivational text is good.

I can take your girl if I want to.
Fear is a motivator and for many of the beta hater guys, fear of losing their girl is their biggest fear.
That is why they hate on muscled guys in the first place! They know it's powerful.
House party last weekend: Hooked up with a girl in a relationship.
She'd been with him for a couple of years. My fingers were inside of her after half an hour.
Feeling up my body and saying it was crazy. Jumped on me. Lesson in there somewhere.

When your girl is out with her friends, they all look at me.
Do you think they fantasize about a frumpy-guy-with-witty-game?
No, they think about the chiseled, dominant player. Will they settle with the lesser guy? Of course.
But which guy do you wanna be?

And the assholes, instead of having nothing to say, might say: Great job, what took you so long?

Bullying isn't always from a place of evil.
The weak are ridiculed because weakness should be culled, not encouraged.
Once you show strength and rise above yourself, you will see that a lot of those assholes will be friendly.
Hell, you might make some new friends.

I think this is only motivational for the guys who don't lift.

Way too try hard, pretty gay undertones ("ravaging asses"), and now guys in this thread are nuthugging on "zyxxxzzz" or whatever his name is.

Hate all you want on Zyzz. But he got more pussy in those few years than most will ever get in their lives.

He inspired millions of young men to stop being pussies and just man up.

What have you done?

RE: Now this is motivational
Nice try buddy but I wasn't hating on "Zyzz".

Why do some guys need to look at pictures of him to get motivated? What happened to the motivation you get from the endorphins rushing through your veins as you lift and watching your gains go up?

When I see "Zyzz" I can recognize and respect the hard work that he put in at the gym. But I can't understand why guys need to look at pictures of him, or watch videos of him dancing to house music to be motivated to go the gym. That just doesn't add up to me.

But hey, if watching sweaty shirtless men prancing around the streets of Australia is what makes you want to look good, keep it up. I guess.

My message didn't target anyone in particular, btw.

In a society filled with mass media, peer pressure(or lack thereof), video games, porn, etc...

It's easy to see why.

So yes, it does take a shirtless dude walking around the streets of Australia to motivate people to work out.

RE: Now this is motivational
The point is not hating in the model in the picture...he's muscled and low BF. Great. I'm questioning the message behind imagery like this.

I wonder if it could be that the younger one is, the harder it is to become conscious of such photographic/advertising manipulation, as we are becoming more and more of a visual culture, and simultaneously the gay influence has only been increasing more and more during that time. So in a sense younger guys have never known anything else.

What is the underlying message anyway? Spend 3+ years working out in the gym and dieting to sub 8% bodyfat and you too can bang what might be a 6 maybe 6.5 with makeup on (don't know as you'll notice, and this is key, you can't even see the girl's body)... with a stupid hand tattoo (haha) no less? It seems to me that this is just encouraging men to act like women.

The notable thing about Zzz was that he was a fitness model who should of been the picture of great health and yet died very young...something incongruent there. More analogous to Gen.Custer. Some notable accomplishments, but then in the end more show than substance.

RE: Now this is motivational
You guys on here shaming a high schooler for his source of motivation is hilarious. Maybe you don't vibe with it - I'm sensing age gap and a generational difference being the issues here - but the message is a good one. Somewhat corny but why hate?

EDIT: I realize most posters don't know how old other posters are, but the possibilities of these types of differences are important to keep in mind sometimes. A broad spectrum of ages and cultures on the forum.

Do the math on that one. Dying means your pussy count = 0.

The average married dude has sex slightly more than twice a week. They may take a decade, but the average dude, at least in terms of sexual frequency, will catch up to Zyzz before age 30, and then live on to greatly exceed that count as they rack up decade after decade more of getting laid.

If Zyzz shortened his life to age 22 in exchange for a boosted physique, he was an idiot. You want a strong, healthy body that will last you a century at least. Anything that shortens your lifespan below that is stupid.

As to the text itself, it fails to have an abundance mentality. It has a mental image of a limited pool of available women. In the real world, there are tens of thousands of women begging in their hearts for a man in their life. There's way too many lonely women who live dreary, isolated lives of work, internet, sleep, repeat without end with no real world interaction. You don't need to have 8% body fat before you meet them. And isolating yourself in a cave lifting weights waiting until you're perfect (as the text suggests) before you start opening women is getting your priorities wrong. There are women who need you warming their bed now, today. Even though you aren't perfect yet.

And that's the second thing I don't like about it: it fails Roosh's sustainable game criteria. "If I just hunker down in my cave for six months and only do this, my life will be perfect." No, if you hunker down in a cave for six months you'll be really good at that one specialized skill, at the expense of a whole lot of other skills that you also need (like opening women and talking with them) that atrophied in the process.

What you need to do, unfortunately, is attack on all fronts simultaneously. You need to be lifting weights all your life (and decide if you want to go for strength or looks when you do, since they're different techniques). You need to be opening women and enjoying their company. You need to be reading and improving your mind. You need to learn dance to give your movements grace. You need to study acting to improve your physical gestures and ability to communicate. And you need to learn how to write and express yourself.

Oh, all while having a career and working a series of jobs to support yourself and fund all the above.

And then later, while raising children too.

Progress is slow. But no one said living a life fully realized was easy.

"Alpha children wear grey. They work much harder than we do, because they're so frightfully clever. I'm awfully glad I'm a Beta, because I don't work so hard. And then we are much better than the Gammas and Deltas. Gammas are stupid. They all wear green, and Delta children wear khaki. Oh no, I don't want to play with Delta children. And Epsilons are still worse. They're too stupid to be able to read or write. Besides they wear black, which is such a beastly color. I'm so glad I'm a Beta."

I didn't know about this guy before this thread, but I looked him up on Wikipedia, and it doesn't say anything about his "boosted physique" being related to his death. He had a congenital heart defect. Even if it was steroid use, as the media circus has implied, that somehow caused the defect retroactively (???), it wouldn't necessarily make him an idiot. He would have had no way of knowing that was going to happen and his case would be rare enough that he could have considered it unlikely to happen.

Not that I'm promoting the steroid use he's alleged to have engaged in or anything.

Now THAT is motivational

Quick question - do you think the dude in the original poster on steroids? Just asking since alot of 'cut' guys I see seem to use a little chemical help. But I am no expert - just curious. Also - alot of guys on steroids don't go for the massive 'hulk hogan' look. So - this could be an example of somebody using it at a lower dose.

Genuinely curious...

Yeah, I would guess that he had some help getting down to that BF level. Probably Anavar or Winstrol. Allows you to shred fat very effectively.
