RE: Feminists want to make web postings "hate crimes"
Days of Broken Arrows, you're right that spicier comment sections drive web traffic but this is only relevant if each platform is allowed to regulate its comment section as it sees fit.

The idea will be that all major websites -- major newspapers, anything run by Google, anything run by Yahoo, Facebook etc -- will adopt common "hate speech standards" at the same time. Since they mainly compete with each other, they won't take that big of a hit. They will lose some traffic to "extreme hate blogs" which is what they'll be labeling websites that allow free speech, but it will be an acceptable price. They'll have studies by consultants showing that women prefer a "hate-free environment" and that if all major sites do this at the same time they will see a net increase in female traffic, etc.

Then they'll go after places like this with lawsuits, legislation and so on. Yes, blogs can and will move to offshore servers, they will then try to get ISP providers to filter out "hate traffic". And so on.

I'm not saying all of this will necessarily happen or that free speech is a lost cause, far from it. But it is now clear they're really going for it and we need to be paying very close attention.

2Wycked, the real target of Whitney Phillips and crew is not raging trolls and implacable racists. That is only the cover story. The real target is you and me.

The only "problem" they are trying to solve is that not everyone accepts their misandrist ideology.

This is not about a few females whining because someone offended them. It is a concerted effort to ban the public expression of opinion that dissents from the feminist party line.

This.

Look, feminists will try to push their agenda but you guys are being overly paranoid here.

First of all, there are far more genuinely hateful sites for them to go after before they even look at forums like this one.

Plus, as I see things, this is just one more sign that the tide is beginning to turn against feminism.

Feminists can't win the arguments, so they try to silence the opposition. Classic desperation tactics.

The internet is a wonderful thing for men. The manosphere cannot be stopped. It's too late to ban it now. Men are waking the fuck up.

More and more people are finding this forum and ones like it. More and more people are discovering game. More and more people are saying fuck you to feminism.

Get the champagne on ice because feminism has had its best days.

dreambig, no. I appreciate your enthusiasm but let's not get carried away.

First. The feminists don't care about actual ostensibly "hateful" sites because those are already ghettoized by extremists.

They have their eyes on sites like ROK and like this -- on things like #fatshamingweek which they regarded, en masse, as more than "hateful" enough to warrant talk of "legal action".

Second: feminism, on the infinite backs of white knights and mangina enablers, goes from strength to strength, especially in the courts, academe and the media. Don't let the RVF fool you: our community here and at ROK is truly anomalous -- when they come to these sites they are staggered. They are staggered because "no one thinks that way!"

Get out of your manosphere bubble and look at how the wider world thinks. The feminist party line is stronger than ever.

So, don't put the champagne on ice -- put the Coors Light on the table and let it warm to room temperature, because feminism is approaching true cultural hegemony, and the real battles have not even begun.

In the 90s there was no opposition to feminism. It was rampant. Men were scattered. Things are so much different now. Sure there are problems but for me that shows the feminist silliness is close to tipping point. They had us conned for a while but the opposition will only grow as more and more frustrated guys find the manosphere. The fact that information can be shared globally and anonymously (well almost) has greatly changed the dynamics involved. In the 90s you would just be publicly shamed as a "misogynist" for voicing any opinion that went against the Party line. In 2013 there are dozens of sites providing the opposition. As Roosh has predicted, the manosphere will hit mainstream soon and popular culture will be influenced by it. The manosphere is here to stay.
