When you were 22 or 23....someone who was 34 or 35 was a "sir". Think about it. Also...my point is my scruff/beard maybe bringing me up closer to my real age.....or making me seem more "sir like"

I've got a buddy who divorced a couple years ago after being together 19 years. We were hanging a while back and he told me "If you're a man in your 40's, have a job, a car, aren't a fucking freak and pretty much have your life together, you are a CATCH".

Online dating is completely worthless over age 40 unless you're working a sugar daddy angle. Vaun is 100% accurate here.

What do you tell an older guy (who's doing okay $ wise, but not raking in the dough © Zhigge), who can't really do the happy hour/club night the same way that we approach it...

Ideas?

I am very near 40. Here are a few things I have learned in the 2+ years since my divorce after 10 yrs of marriage.

- Online dating is pointless. Showing your real age, photos, the fact you have kids, etc, will automatically turn away 95% of the girls you actually want to date. For me its 25-32, never married, no kids with a degree, with decent tits. Almost all of these girls will say they want someone with no kids in their profile. Choosing someone on Match, etc is a very public act, its as if its public validation for the woman to click on "the perfect guy." For guys like us we are already at a huge disadvantage. Its sort of the difference between Google & Facebook. On Google, you search for the most intimate and private things like "hair loss that works" and "dick pills that make you huge". On Facebook, its the opposite, you try to actually show people you are your most ideal self by saying "I have hair and a huge dick." Its the same thing on Match, these girls want to publicly prove they have found Mr Right, and if you dont fit the criteria, you are out real fast. Daygame is like Google.

- Get in shape, lose the gut, update your wardrobe(get a personal shopper for a day at the department store). Most guys past the age of 30 give up completely. By the time they are 50 they are either old men or pretty cool. I was blessed to have an active dad, and I live that way, I train at the gym, fuck girls, play music and work hard at business. You dont have to have superior genes, its all in lifestyle and how well you take care of yourself and your surroundings. If you became an old man in a loveless life, change. Fucking accept change. Deal with it, roll with it, and evolve to get more pussy. Update your home. Learn and play new sports.

- Get active in life. If you are not a naturally dynamic person, i.e. have a job that keeps you social and out and about, I would say find something that makes you do that. Find a new social scene. Get involved in something new. Travel. Be social to strangers. Eat at the bar instead of a table for one. Learn to dance. Accept and use new technology. Get into music and live music. Just go fucking party, whatever. Go to Key West. Anything. Get the fuck outside. Try quitting porn for a while. Tell them to get off the meds.

I could have died after my divorce. This morning I slept in and I am watching cartoons. I found a new lease on life. Tell them to read PUA and come to boards like this. Most people become so rigid and convinced of their beliefs, tell them to throw that out the door. Tell them to learn daygame, go to clubs and bars, and have fun everywhere. I feel like if more middle aged guys actually took this stuff seriously there would be no single women.

Good advice ....I'm Trying to optimize my look for young women....20-26. a lot of college girls too.... Do you think clean shaven is the way for an older guy to appear more youthful to younger women? I've been experimenting with 10 day stubble...still all black ...but I've had two call me "sir" this past week when I talked to them. I'm 44 but look 8 -10 younger.

I did two things that stopped the "sirs."

First, as mentioned, lose weight and lift some weights. If you have that "doughy" look, it'll add years.

Second, you mention you have a black beard. Get it thinned and/or shaped. Laser hair removal from a dermatologist is around $100 a pop. It hurts, but it's worth it.*

As we age, our beards not only thicken (more hairs per square inch), but spread further up our cheeks and down our necks. Even our moustaches become wider, growing from a thin wisp over our lip to a thick, massive 'stache that looks like Cheech from Cheech and Chong.

People don't register this consciously when they see you, but it puts you in the "older" bracket. A good laser hair removal specialist can beat all that dark hair back. Bring in a pic of your beard and/or 'stache when you were in your twenties or late teens and say "Make it look like this."

They'll thin the cheek and neck areas and reshape the rest. You'll be amazed at how many years this shaves off (pun intended). Stubble is cool, but thick 5 O'clock shadow is something dads have. I think any man looking to look younger should have beard thinning done around age 35, but this especially goes for ones with black hair (which I have as well).

* If anyone goes this route, I'd recommend taking a pain pill before each laser appointment. It not only eases the pain massively, but going to appointments stoned on pills makes it sort of fun. Also, be sure to go to a dermatologist, not some fly-by-night place. This is your face, and you don't want to mess it up.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
^ I have 2 older brothers and other friends in their mid 30s.

The only time one of them ever got called sir was when he grew a thick unkempt beard and looked in his early to mid 40s.

Being called sir means you look 40+ without a doubt and more likely mid 40s+.

You may be able to look much younger but right now face that you look your age.

I am not trying to argue, just being real you need to change things to look mid 30s because that is not the case right now.

It is unreal the % of people 35+ on internet boards say they look so much younger when in real life it is shockingly rare to meet people and guess their age wrong.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
Here is my anti-aging routine:

SLEEP

This is the single greatest anti aging exercise that you can do. The youthful hormones are produced between 10pm and 3am. Your body and brain cleanses itself during deep sleep. Failure to get deep sleep is failure to repair your body. This is #1.

STRESS

Eliminate it from your life. This is hard but do the best you can. Exercise, Meditate, Walk in nature, Cultivate your sense of humor, Practice your faith, Communicate with loved ones, change your job, change your lifestyle, etc.

We all have different ways to deal with stress. Identify and incorporate the specific stress reducing strategies that work for you.

I learned to relax, not take my job so serious and not take life so serious. I forgave my parents for not doing a great job raising me and decided that I would be more grateful and light hearted.

I feel much lighter, happier and stress free (most of the time)

Stress is the silent killer that destroys your body. Eliminate it!

CLEAN FOOD

We are what we eat. Processed food is full of chemicals, additives, preservastives, free radicals, etc. This stuff confuses the body and causes it to over work and age. Your body is an expensive car, why use low quality, harmful fuel? You can never get a new body!

Fresh food is full of nutrients, vitamens, minerals, etc. Our body can process it very easily and comfortably. Food should be medicine, not poison

WATER

After air, this is our most vital nutrient. Drink a lot of it.

Dehydration leads to premature skin aging, a weak digestive function, and a weak immune system.

Our body is something like 70% water. Replenish it regularly.

Winter = Lots of hot tea!

Summer = Cold tea

TIME

Ignore the concept of time. It doesn't exist. Time is a man made measurment. (Google it)

I don't beleive in age. The number means nothing to me.

"They" say the earth goes around the sun every 365 days and we are supposed to add another year to our age every time. I choose not to participate in that measurement system.

That might sound funny but I know that this strategy helps me a lot. My mind does not awknowledge or process the years 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, etc. That type of measuring system carries to many expectations, beleifs, and cultural conditioning.

I use my own mearsuring system. If I can still pull college girls, I am young. When I can no longer do that, I will re-evaluate my "age".

That how I measure.

DO LESS

Don't overwhelm yourself with countless tasks and responsibilities. Limited your commitments and appointments. Schedule time to relax.

"let your affairs be two or three, and not a hundred or a thousand”

- Henry David Thoreau

I do take naps occasionally, when I feel that I need one.

I don't think 7-8 hours of sleep is enough.

I think active, weight lifting, basketball playing, college girl chasing men over 30 need 9-10 hours of sleep per night.

Personally, I would not drink that.

It's loaded with sugar.

I read the ingredients and the after water, the #1 ingredient is sugar.

I prefer to make my own tea and squeeze my own fresh lemons into it. I would probably use honey as a sweetener.

If I did drink that tea, I would "water it down" by around 40-50% in order to reduce the sugar by 40-50%.

That said, I admit that I am a health freak and sort of an extremist when it comes to this stuff. Feel free to ignore me. That tea will not kill you. I just like to avoid processed sugar. Again, I am an extremist.

That's not extreme, I dislike how people think that. It's a very good choice; extreme, at least to me, is that one woman's seeds nuts and fruit only diet.

Now youth is great and all, but besides facial hair is there any way to seem older than I am?

If you have a baby face, there isn't a whole lot you can do.

One idea is to hang around with older guys. Observe the way they move and talk. It will start to rub off on you.

If you are young, why do you want to look older?

Met the first single mom tonight I want to bang. Our kids go to the same school. I put it here because this seems like an "Older Guys" issue. Most of the single moms I meet are haggard and I have zero penile response for. This one has been divorced for years, has a tight ass body from yoga and is nice to chat with. She asked me to "show her around the neighborhood." The kids sort of picked up on it though.. have to keep it on the DL.

Most of the single moms I meet are haggard and I have zero penile response for. This one has been divorced for years, has a tight ass body from yoga and is nice to chat with. She asked me to "show her around the neighborhood." The kids sort of picked up on it though.. have to keep it on the DL.

That might be the gold mine for 50+?

RE: Older Guys (40+)
Do you guys over 40 often go for direct openers on really younger women? ie....20 - 25 ?

I think it's okay to go direct when there's some IOIs from a woman...or older women. But, I've found myself going indirect on the younger college girls when they are oblivious....which they usually are...like studying or walking down the street, etc....and haven't had much success even number closing. I was watching some of good looking loser's pickup videos on his site.....and he almost always starts with "I know this is random...but I thought you were attractive and wanted to say hello...." Thing is he's in his early 30s...not early 40s.
Like to get some feedback if you older guys do this on the young uns and what your perspective is.

The only time one of them ever got called sir was when he grew a thick unkempt beard and looked in his early to mid 40s.

Being called sir means you look 40+ without a doubt and more likely mid 40s+.

That is your perspective. Doesn't mean everybody else thinks the same way. You make it sound like it's some hard and fast rule. From what I have noticed, if you look about 10+ years older they will call you "sir", sometimes. Your sample size of 2 is pretty small to make a definitive statement that he must look 40+, don't you think?

When I started posting here I was early 50s, now I'm late 50s and I can tell you a lot of the stuff younger guys think about just becomes irrelevant-- because of some of these factors for me--

--I'm not even bothering with American chicks-- too hard to get 7+ under 33 YO-just here short term for dough
-- not caring about night game, too loud, fucks up sleep too much
-- therefore figuring out how to get set up overseas in a stable place
-- because frequent traveling is more tiring than before and jet lag is worse.
-- getting ONE reliable way younger foreign chick, because I can only fuck 2-3 times a week and if the girl is horny and likes you she can take all I can give, so I don't need side pieces.
-- finances are already set or in process with plan, so I'm not starting any new careers.
-- the time to work hard putting off pleasure for the future is OVER, it's time to enjoy RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW -- planning in shorter and shorter time frames because there's simply less time left.
-- the idea of building big muscle mass is secondary to just keeping fit, nagging little problems like sore elbows or just fatigue limit exercise even though I love it, I can't let myself get too exhausted because I'll crash a car or something. You just need more recovery time.

It's hard to believe 28 becomes 32, becomes 38, becomes 43, becomes 50--- and you go, holy shit, eighteen year olds think I'm OLD.

Don't they know I'm still that COOL GUY???

RE: Older Guys (40+)
...I've never feared getting older, if anything I view this decade as 'Cruise Control' You are young enough to relate to the sometimes incoherent musings of the 18-24 year old girls, but old enough to fuck her and her friends senseless.

I've survived many of the obstacles for men in my socioeconomical/age bracket - disenchantment, young fatherhood, peer violence etc

I'm in my early 40's, no gray's at all, still active and open to new ideas/technology

If anything, a guy should be more refined at this stage. If not, he should be reflecting on some of the lessons he's missed along the way

He should be just at the age, where he can start enjoying some of the fruits of his labor. Of course, that enjoys travel, new experiences and younger women.

Let's partake fellas - we've earned it!

RE: Older Guys (40+)
1. Remove internal limiting beliefs about age e.g. because I am this age I can't do this or I can't get this kind of girl.
2. Get a hero, someone to emulate and look up to. Mine is Richard Branson.
3. Forget about the concept of age. I don't even celebrate my birthday and no one knows it anymore.
4. America is very superficial. People will judge you primarily on how you look, so get in shape and dress younger.
5. Pick an age you would want to be and start thinking of yourself as that age. This age for me is 28.

I recently was chatting up a young co-ed in Starbucks, and as one of my periodic spot checks, I asked her how old she thought I was?
She studied me for about a minute, and this was in the day time, and then said 28. I just smiled at her.

You are exactly as young or as old as you think you are, so why not make it younger instead of older.

I still try to game them....but the ones who call me sir seem to get nervous when I start getting a bit more flirty.
btw....I'm starting to lean towards going back to clean shaven. I like my 10 day black stubble...but I think it may be too much for college girls/young women. I'll experiment a few more days with it.

Rob, like Vaun, I am almost 40, just a few years younger than you.

For me the "sirs" go away if I'm tan and if I dye my hair.

I'm not sure your skin complexion, but for me a tan (or tanning cream, I use Clarins Liquid Bronze) takes off 5 years easy. I have very pale skin and contrasted by very dark hair so I look like a dead man walking with no color. Your mileage may vary depending on your complexion, but I haven't seen many guys over 35 who look very good pale. Caucasians look especially bad.

Regarding the hair, I don't like any of the permanent or semi (or demi) permanent dyes. They have ingredients like PPD, ammonia and peroxide and you don't want any of that shit on your hair let alone your skin. I do one of two things: use a non-permanent dye (actually a stain) called Cosamo love your color. I researched it and mainly women use it, but there are no reports of skin irritation like many people report from the permanent dyes like just for men.

Another option, depending on your type of hair is to clipper it short. I cut it down to a #2 guard, which is 1/4 inch. This look will not work for a lot of faces. I have a small nose and ears, and a very straight hair line like David beckham. If you have a bigger nose or ears or a curved hair line, you may be better off using non-permanent dyes.

Some guys have talked about threading their eyebrows, but I've done that and it didn't make me look any younger. My normal thicker eyebrows are actually a better look.

I do the other things the guys here talk about too, getting enough sleep, no stress, drink a lot of water, moisturize, etc.

Whitening and or straightening your teeth helps too.
