Just an aside to the rest of the old farts Tongue .... my 13 year old daughter seems to call everybody "sir" including her classmates... it appears to be kind of a trend now, so don't assume that it implies what it used to Wink

O.k. So what does it imply, then?

RE: Older Guys (40+)
Met up with a friend of mine at the weekend, dude is in his late 30s, I'm in my early 40s.
Could not belive how limiting his mindset was re women in their early/mid 20s.
He was convinced they wouldn't be into him.
The guy is going grey but aside from that, he looks pretty well, is tall, witty and confident.
Had to stop myself from bitchslapping some sense into him.
Myself, I've had more success with women in the 20 to 30 group since I turned 40, than before.
That said though, every time I've got with a 20something girl, I've been rolling solo.
Perhaps the limiting mindset of my friends in their 30s/40s has been putting the younger chicks off......I guess on some level, they can smell the fear or lack of confidence these guys are giving off.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
There is an age compression going on now primarily due to the Internet. Young girls are maturing much faster than before because they are simply exposed to everything so much faster. An 18 yr old today, will know more or have seen more than someone twice her age because of the Internet. Because of this they just don't see age being the issue it once was or that older women has made it. Plus, a lot of young guys are so out of shape and beta acting that if I was a young girl I would be going after older guys too. Look at it from their perspective, what do they have to lose vs what do they have to gain.

Yes! In the old days you'd have young men killed off in a war, you'd have a woman whose family wanted an alliance and would set her up with a successful older man, you'd have a woman who had fallen on hard times, like the story of the widow Ruth and the wealthy landowner Boaz in the Old Testament.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
This is a great thread. I appreciate all of the contributions as I will turn 40 in 1.5 years.

Looking back on how I was perceived regarding the my age... When I was 18, I had no trouble buying alcohol. I looked much more mature than my friends. This carried into my 20's as I looked 5 years older than my age. Now things have leveled off. When people guess my age it is anywhere from 34-36. I am hoping this gap widens as I age.

Factors that contribute that help maximize my look.

1. Eye-brow threading. This is the single most important factor in improving my look. I started doing this about 8 years ago. I found a great Muslim woman who has perfected the right shape for me. I go roughly every 3-4 weeks for maximum look.

I have very thick eyebrows and they were too close to my eyes. The correct shape opens up my eyes and makes them look bigger. The majority of my compliments are on my eyes and eyebrows. In fact, I would say my eyebrows are a distinguishing feature. My only caution is that many guys get them threaded/waxed too thin and makes it look unnatural and gay.

2. As you age, your clothing becomes much more important. Guys in their 20s can get away with putting in less attention and detail. However, aim to dress impeccably and you will see significant results. You also feel better about yourself. Find the right brands that fit your body. This will take time but it is worth the effort.

Personally, I have found that a blazer and jeans is a better look for me than a full suit. The suit makes me look older.

3. Find the right barber. I have a russian barber that I go to every 2-3 weeks. He found the right style and length. I noticed that a few days of scruff looks good when my hair is shorter. When I go with scruff and my hair is longer, I look older.

4. Details matter! I take care and pride in my shoes. I polish them often. I see so many guys who look lame wearing beat-up old shoes.

5. As it is well documented, hit the gym and hit it often. I go 3 days in a row and take on day off. This seems to be the best routine for me.

Regarding girls in the States, I regularly date mid to late 20s. Occasionally, I pull 20-23. I am in Colombia now, the gap widens to 15-18 years difference.

As much as I love girls in the 18-22 year old range. For an enjoyable conversation and connection, I find 28-30 optimal.

This is what I have been doing for most of this summer now. This is my game.

I am the older experienced man with a bit of a cruel hand.

“I am afraid that woman appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters, all the same. They love being dominated.” - Oscar Wilde

This has been something I've always read, but never understood until recently putting it into action. I have become increasingly cruel, and it's f*cking catnip to women

This book has sold 100 million copies. You don't have to wait for the movie to come out!

For clarity: How have you become 'increasingly cruel'? and what are some examples of it being catnip to them?

- Setting the tone immediately (once on a date) that you have standards, and you're leading, and if she doesn't meet your standards, you'll drop her like a rock. This is the most important step, as nothing you do will be effective if the girl senses you're a pushover, or if she senses she has the upper hand/you're appeasing her.

See scorpion's note here, especially from #3 down:

http://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-37615-...#pid766771

This *does* mean you will lose some girls you may have gotten with.

What you won't lose however, is self-respect. You'll gain it, and that is much more important.

- Give her a fraction of what she gives you.

- Sexual cruelty. Lately I have been slapping girls across the face with my hardon. Ultimate dominance move in bed.

- Generally playing hardball where you don't bend to feminine wiles, unless it's framed in a context that's advantageous to you. You get your way before acceding to hers.

Example: I have a girl who is a FWB. I understand she goes on actual dates with other guys. I'm fine with that.

However I insist on being a priority. If she tries to schedule me around a date, I tell her forget it. Have fun. I'll see you another time. She immediately caves and says ok. I get my way.

If she tries other shit tests, always respond by immediately rejecting them. Accept that at any time she might be gone forever and be okay with that. Accept feminine nature for what it is but DON'T cave on your masculinity and dominance. Don't value female approval ahead of self-approval.

* * *

If you want the girl to stick around, I'd definitely hold off as long as possible in letting her know you're real age. YOu want to be sure she's hooked on you and the more time she has invested, the less likely it is that she'll write you off just because of your age.

If she really pushes you for a # sooner than later then I'd minimize and tell her 38, assuming you think you can pull it off. 40+ is gonna sound old to most in their 20s, especially in this case where the girl's mom is only 45.

I don't care if they somehow find out my real age but if they are literally half my age I go with 38. Girls who assumed I was ~30-33 were surprised, but didn't care at all, one girl asked as she was slipping my cock in her and didn't blink an eye or hesitate for a nano-second.

Remember, if they're in college, esp 18-19, anything over 30-35 is probably 'older' to them, and that's why they may be sleeping with you in the first place.

Sugar is very right. But I let them know before the date that I have standards and expect them to be adhered to.

Something as simple as 'Dress sexy, wear high heels.' before the first date.

I've gotten 100% compliance. They are begging to be led.
I've met so many college girls this year that won't date anyone under 26-27 it's amazing. Guess alot of 20-something boys are watching alot of porn.

If the other guys on this thread posted about the 'age-ranges' their girls are looking for, I bet most would say '25-35+.' I think it is a huge turn-on for a lot of them to sleep with a guy twice their age.

...Also it helps them keep it on the DL, even if you're the only one she's seeing. [especially then, in fact.]

Was in Starbucks last night, I saw this complete schlub with a nice cutie. He looked like late 40s and she looked like mid 20s.
This has given me new motivation. I have a 18 yr old hitting on me at work, she wants to turn 19 so she can drink.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
I look 30, and I turn 39 in two weeks. My dad is 80 and is mistaken for 70 or younger. I see 50 year olds that look way worse off than him. His lifestyle has to be a part of it. Regular sleep, work schedule, fun(he dances ballroom), he's physical, no smoking, no drinking. Women throw themselves at him all the time.

I look younger so I dont give off the older stable guy vibe until they get to know me and see how I live. I like to dress casual and I skateboard.. so yes I come off as younger.

Strangely enough, when I day game, which is mostly what I do, I swoop between the ages of 20-25. Its what I call "natural selection game." What I am naturally attracted to and swoop the best are women 20-25, they are what I am drawn to on the street, without knowing a thing about them other than their beauty. Occasionally there is a 29 year old, but she will look really good, and much younger.

For the hell of it I upped the age on Tinder to 35-45 last week. These women are twice the work as younger women. They bait and switch, text and talk way too much. I did it just to play around but most of these women are not worth the time or effort.

I'm 44....but neither of us has asked the other's age outright. She's made a few jokes about my age on previous dates and last night...such as "you're dating yourself" or if I tell her about some music I used to listen to she'll say...."was that on cassette"? I'll joke back with...."no on 8 track"

Last night she said " do you care about my age you've never asked"....I said " I don't care...you're cool and I like spending time with you".....she smiled and I changed the subject.

I know her mom is 45 cause she told me...so I'm like one year younger than her freaking mother. I think this girl probably thinks I'm mid or late 30s at most as I do not even look 40.

Obviously...she keeps broaching the subject.

My question is....next time she brings it up...in her joking way about age....should I face up and go ahead and have a discussion about it....ie. tell each other our ages....or should I keep being kind of playful yet evasive? ......perhaps only telling her my age if she outright asks it? I have a feeling she'll be a bit surprised that I'm 44.

I don't know why guys shy away from saying their real age. I think it DLVs to lie about your age. I LEAD with it and ask them if they have ever been with a guy my age before (meaning a guy that knows what he's doing).

I date nearly exclusively women 18-24 and I always tell them my age. I am frequently younger then their parents and it really has never been an issue.

Women respond above all else to confidence. IMO lying about your age shows a lack of it.

Props Dawson. This gives me more confidence. I asked a 25 year old the other day I was hitting on to guess my age after she asked....she said "35"....then "32" I guess I've been hesitant because I know I look younger than 44 and that could somehow be a "shock" to them if they think I'm 30 something, then I tell them mid 40s. Just disqualifying because I'm older than that "imfamous 40" barrier.

My philosophy is try to bang them before they know your real age while being playfully evasive. Then, once you've gotten your bang and presumably they're more hooked on you, they won't be as likely to disqualify you based on age ( if they would have pre-bang)

The guy in the pic is Steven Bauer. He's a Cuban actor (was in Scarface "Manny choot dis piece of chit") He was Manny. He's always been a known player. He's on the show Ray Donovan now

Funny thing is my dad is Cuban too. Very traditional when it comes to male female roles and old school player. That's why my mom divorced him when I was 7 or 8.

He'd always drop wisdom on me every time he came to visit and would take me and my brother out for a day. I remember one time he laid it down on men's vs women's age when I was like 14 and like always it wasn't till years later that I knew what the hell he meant. Imagine this in a Tony Montana accent:

"Son joo need to make a lotta money when you get older or else joo gonna have to go with the women joo own age"

Said like fucking women your own age was a fate worse than death. Hilarious. Like I said it took like 20 years for that to really sink in but it's gospel.

In that regard, like father like son. Thanks again Pop

Truly, bro. Women 33-40 are unbelievable, especially white women. Delusionally self-confident. I have made the stupid mistake of going on tinder dates with these chicks on far too many occasions.

At 40+ they seem to be a lot more amenable.

Younger women rule here.

A large number of women 33-40 frequently have a form of princess disease - in which they are transitioning out of and have NOT quite realized that they are NOT as cute (and princess-like) as they used to be able to get away with.

Frequently women in this age group may be transitioning to realize (but have NOT quite realized, yet) that their behaviors that guys tolerated and would have put up with when they were in their 20s no longer work.

O.k. So what does it imply, then?

Just a person of the male persuasion. Nothing more, nothing less. Just like in some circles people call each other "nigga" no matter what their background culture or ethnicity is.

It's also kind of a dig against the older generation, it's like taking their vocabulary and making fun of it. We used to do that with our parents all the time back in the 70s and 80s when I was a kid!

To sum up, don't get offended if some college age girl is calling you "sir" because to her the term is probably completely age-neutral.

This has been something I've always read, but never understood until recently putting it into action. I have become increasingly cruel, and it's f*cking catnip to women

Cruel works because nature itself is cruel. It's part of the design. Oscar was no dummy!

@Rubio93 Yep, I have ran across this. It is still also used as a sign of respect though.

In 5 years, when she goes off to college..

She is going to be calling me SIR!

I'm half joking but I'm also half serious. I may run into your daughter on a college campus.

This might offend you or scare you but it shouldn't..

I promise I will treat her well, look after her, feed her, and make sure she gets home safely.

I will also encourage her to do well in school, work hard, be healthy, and avoid stupid people.

She will be safer with me than with almost anyone else.

Young girls say that I spoil them and it's hard to go back to dating boys their own age.

I treat all my girls very well.

No disrespect Rubio! I'm mostly joking! Viva Colombia!
