Oxford Publishes Nude Female Calendar But Banned "Blurred Lines"
I wanted to point out some hypocrisy that's typical of college "cafeteria feminism."

Today, the UK's Daily Mail reported the Oxford University Women's Rugby Team posed nude for a calendar to raise money for Mind Your Head, Oxford's mental health campaign.

Yet, one of Oxford's campuses, Balloil, the song "Blurred Lines" a few months ago because they felt it “promote(d) damaging and unhealthy attitudes to sexual consent” and “make sexual assault sound acceptable”. (Fixed link HERE.)

So a mere song has influence on behavior, but see the girl you're in class with each day nude won't? What message does that send? What planet do these people live on?

What's happening here is what Roissy said long ago. It's a sign of society clamping down on male sexual expression and giving free reign to female sexual expression. This, he wrote, is a sign of a dysfunctional society (he said it better, but I can't find his original).

Anyway, it seems to me this is the exact opposite of the culture we had around 50 years ago, which didn't seek to criminalize men's desire but shamed women for exhibitionism.

Here is a pic, just so they can tell their kids someday they were on the Roosh V forum. Or is it "sexist" to re-post the photo, but not to pose for it?

The link is broken. Exactly what does it mean when a song is banned? Like it can't be played at school events?

I don't get it.

I fixed the link.

Here is the lead sentence, which explains the ban:

"Balliol’s JCR (Junior Common Room) has passed a motion condemning Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’, meaning that the chart topping song will no longer be heard at bops or in the college bar."

So they think students who are able to get into Oxford are so emotionally childlike, they'll be damaged or influenced by a song. But a nude calendar? No problem!

If you played the song at work and then hung up the nude calendar, which do you think would get you in more trouble? Some real world perspective.

I'm more insulted that they'd expect me to part with good money whilst offering such low-quality arse.

11 and 1 o'clock have coy, charming smiles, which is why I'm guessing they were given prime real estate.

Thanks. Your last sentence really does highlight the ridiculousness or the pc culture's lack of perspective.

I agree. The only way for men to win this game is to avoid marriage, get a secret vasectomy
and bang away with reckless abandon. That's how you take away female power.

It's funny. Twenty, thirty years ago, students would have been fighting the administration for the right to play whatever songs they wanted. Today, students censor themselves. Welcome to the future.

It's a stupid song anyway. I got sick of it after hearing it only once.
It's catchy but dumb.

Serious question

What rhymes with "hug me"?

Apparently there is not a single squat rack at Oxford.

Rugby players who don't squat?

This is why watching female rugby is basically watching normal rugby in slow motion.

Interesting...
Especially the tendency of students to self censors themselves.
However please note that the Balliol is only one of the many colleges in Oxford.

In many others Blurred Lines it IS actually played during college parties, as i listened and danced it during a bop two weeks ago.

They have long hair, I say that's enough to keep them out of the conventional dyke territory.

I never did put in a proper link to the main story. It's HERE.

In case you don't want to click on it, I posted more pics below. I'm sure the OXFORD WOMEN'S RUGBY TEAM will be thrilled to have their pics reprinted in these parts:

And yet didn't some kid get threatened with the sex offendor's list for streaking during a football game.

The one who ended up killing himself?

Jeez...when does it end?

The laughable hypocrisy of this case is not a reason to engage in sour grapes about their bodies. I like most of their asses and would bang all of them.

This is actually a good idea to increase the popularity of women's sport. If all girls played naked I might actually want to go watch a female sports match.

Girls should be an ornament to the eye, not an ache in the ear.

WB

I don't have a lot to add. Jr is spot on - the students are attempting to censor what they can't handle.

Most men would not mind these rules if they were not so inconsistantly applied. The university says "don't objectify women, but buy our naked lady calender." We'll arrest you if you streak, but we'll pay these hot ladies to do it. If you can't set precedent, there are no rules or laws.
