My Hands Shake
I've been noticing lately that my hands will often tremble slightly. Like, micro tremble noticeable from a foot away. I don't know what the cause is. I've done too many drugs and probably fucked my nervous system a bit, but most of it wasn't recent.

What do I do about this?

RE: My Hands Shake
How much is the tremble?

Everyone has a tiny hand tremor, but generally we don't notice it. The eyes also constantly tremor slightly, but our brains photoshop the tremor so we get a steady picture coming in. The vast majority of people will have a tiny microtremor if they hold their hands still a foot away as you describe.

You basically need to see a doctor and ask if what you are having is a normal tremor or if it's bad enough to warrant further tests.

I had a similar thing when I was a teenager. But I was also a twitching beta always nervous to see bullies coming after me.

When I started lifting, learned some relaxation techniques and adopted social mastery it stopped by itself.

Magnesium and some sort of yoga/meditation.

Do you consume caffeine? If so stop completely.

I agree with that entirely. If that doesn't work, and you're going to have to give it some time, then see a doctor as a last resort see if you can get on a low dose of Valium. Something in the neighborhood of 2.5 mg a day. like I said though, time, doctor, last resort, and only if this is noticeable enough to shy away women.

You can work stupid, but you can't fix a fat body.

Yeah, skinnier guys are twitchier. I gained about sixty pounds from my skinniest weight at mature height, and have felt way less twitchy since.

What do I do about this?

Google "essential tremor." You can take prescription medicine -- or not. I am not sure about any natural cures, which is usually a good first step.

I would definitely recommend seeing a doctor just to rule out Parkinson's, MS, or some other serious affliction. I've seen what happens to people who wait to get shit checked out.

Do you drink a lot? Everyone I know who's a serious alcoholic tends to have shaky hands.

RE: My Hands Shake
yeah alcohol and caffeine deplete the magnesium in your body, and magnesium is important for the nervous system, so like another guy said, take magnesium and a B-vit complex and see what happens in a month

RE: My Hands Shake
Could be thyroid, try to assess what you have changed in the last weeks/months prior the shaking started. Diet, workout plan, something else?

RE: My Hands Shake
If no cause can be found, ask for a prescription for a beta blocker, specifically propranolol. That most likely will keep you smooth and twitch free.
