What is Bangkok like in late July/August? Does the wet weather prevent girls from going out or kill the nightlife/atmosphere much?

If it rains in the afternoon or evening (usually rains for about an hour), nightlife is affected. A lot of girls don't go out because they will get soaked, nobody wants to hang out outside of club either, so people don't want to go out.

Last year it rained once every 2-3 days (if I remember correctly)

Has anyone checked out those pool parties that are usually held on the rooftop of hotels? Or the Ocean bar?

I went to one a year back. Was some event, full of douchey expats for the most part and stuck up girls. Girls speak better English and look hot but the environment is too toxic and clicky for my tastes.

Check their FB Pages and look at the pictures to get a better idea.

Yeah I have seen many pictures and it looks not bad. But I always thought there must be a catch. I know one girl who works at Radisson Blu hotel and she thinks that most girls at their pool parties are hookers.

Me and steak went to a pool party called So Pool Party at The Water Club. It's located in the Sofitel So Bangkok hotel, near Lumpini park. It's a great place with good music and lots of hot Thai girls. The pool is really nice.

When I first entered the place I was thinking oh no douchebags everywhere so I started to approach some girls. The first question these girls would ask was: Are you gay? I had no fucking clue at first why they would ask me this and I got a bit insecure that I gave off a gay vibe or something..turns out later on that most of the guys in there were gay. And the douchebags were too busy with flexing their muscles (the girls would assume that these guys were gay too because they were fit and didn't approach any girls). Some Thai girls think that you are gay just because you work out, which I'm sure that many of you already are aware about.

We had a great time in there and approached girls like there was no tomorrow (and got approached a few times). They were very very receptive. We both pulled from the party Banana

The events is held once a month, I think. Next event will be on the 30th of May.

Monthly apartment options?

Could anyone link me or provide suggestions on where to find good value apartments.

I spent about 6 months in Chiang Mai 4 years ago and found the best way to get value is via word of mouth, I've looked on airbnb but it looks dear... but you do get the ease of the whole thing.

Cheers

Monthly rentals are hard to come by if you don't Speak thai, but they do exist.

What are you after, Condo w/ Balcony AC etc or just a room? If it's the latter I know several places off hand that might be of value.

Ideally just want something 'central' where you don't hear girls saying...."owww so far!"

I've just shot you a pm Afarang

When I went there the pool area looked like it got no sun, walked in saw that nearly all of it was in the shade and left, so frustrating how many pools in Asia are built in the shade of buildings.

Currently on day two in Bangkok. This city will make going back to Phnom Penh that much more dreadful.

Yesterday I hit up Route 66, but it wasnt really my style. Ended up trolling in Nana and took home a half black/thai girl. She wanted to fuck me more than I wanted to fuck her haha. Pretty sure she was a pro though.

Haha. Yeah, two kind of girls hang out in Nana; Prostitutes and hawkers. If she didn't have a rack of clothes or was selling pork on a stick, she was definitely a pro.

Would like to hear your feedback on Route 66.

Went to RCA with 4 latinas and a thai girl. I made the mistake of not focusing and didn't get any of them. Met up with forum member kangaroo but i think he ended up with a chick.

To me Route 66 felt like a giant highschool party full of kids who can't handle their liquor. I didn't really see most of the talent their because I was focused on the group I was With. I approached a few girls but really didn't have luck.

Day 2: I ended up going to Soi Cowboy and Nana plaza to troll around. The place were full of old Chinese and Japanese guys.

Next I went to some African refugee club next to Nana plaza called G-Terminal. There was one really hot Ethiopian but I wasn't going to bar fine her, and she doesn't get off until 5am.

Next to G-Terminal is a hotel full of Russian hookers. Me and my boy went for shits and giggles. We went up to the 4th floor and literally every room has hookers from either Russia or Colombia.

After that I ended up shoring a girl from Nana again she had a nice ass, so I said why not.

Second bang from shoring in 2 days. This is an amazing city, definitely can't wait to come back.

RE: Bangkok Datasheet 2014.
Hey what's up guys! Nice thread. I'm pretty new in Bangkok. I'm renting an apartment in Thong Lor for the next 4-6 months.

A. Can you guys recommend some places near the thong lor bts area for dates and for bars to get in some approaches during from around 6 to 11 pm. I like a places that are not super loud with a chill environment where I can have a conversation w/o yelling. I'm also open to going to asoke or some other places nearby as well near MBK or Terminal 21.

B. For day game, has anyone experimented with doing direct game during the day? Well, let's say your walking at the mall and get eye contact. But the girls going the other way. It makes sense to run after her and say hi, right?

Then there's another situation where you don't get any eye contact. The girl walks by fast, but you want to talk to her, so you kind of have to go direct in that situation sometimes. Any recommendations on an opener for that situation in Bangkok?

C. any one want to do day game? pm me?

RE: Bangkok Datasheet 2014.
A.

I am not a huge approacher, but if I was, I probably wouldn't do it around the Thonglor area. In the daytime it is very work orientated and people likely would not be as receptive to approaches and at night time there's a lot of mixed groups with a good amount of snobbery mixed in. I feel very uncomfortable making approaches in the local clubs unless I'm with locals.

B. I'm not a fan of direct game at any level. In Thailand most girls are hit up by random sleeze bags on the street asking 'Pai Nai' (Where you going) or just general comments about their appearance on a day to day basis. I don't think it's received too well. Indirect approaches, followed by alot of joking and smiling wins out there.

C. Not in BKK atm but if you want to try day game, try Siam and the big malls around there. Also give a go to the places you frequent, where people see you around and you will be known as that friendly farang lol

RE: Bangkok Datasheet 2014.
From my experiences approaching during the day is easier then at night if talking about places like Thong Lo. Guards are down and girls are often alone or only with their best friend, instead of in a mixed group including co-workers and family members.

There are no specific locations, that are good for day game though. Most people just drive from one place to another. If you spend your daily life around here then you will always meet enough hotties in the various restaurants, cafes, gym or grocery stores. Just be prepared to approach in every situation.

If you specifically want to go out to day game then the new mall Emquartier is just one BTS station away. Otherwise try Terminal at Asoke. If you want the best quality/ratio head over to Siam.

I think Red Planet Asoke is good in terms of location and value for money. It's very close to the Terminal 21 mall, BTS and the nightlife on Soi 11. My Indo girl lived there for a couple of days when she came to Bangkok and I slept there with her for one night. It can be a bit noisy. Lots of Koreans and Japanese tourists in the hotel. At night time, you will see them bring ladyboys home lol. Rooms were kind of small but it was clean and tidy.

So my conclusion is that the hotel might have some negative overtone to it if you want to bring girls over. But good value for the money if you want to be in the centre of the action. I really don't think you will have any problems if you run tight game though Angel
