RE: Is There A Point Of Diminishing Returns On Weightlifting And Attracting Girls?
Real? The discussion has been practical and cordial. We are not even disagreeing much. The only point of contention has been should a guy keep getting better to get more positive returns.

Usain is around 6'5/6'6 at 207lbs. That's slim for a guy that height. And Usain is fairly lean. Proportionatley, If he was 5'9 he would be 167lbs and at 5'7 he would 157lbs.

Bruce Lee was my height and he averaged 140lb with a shredded body.  Add 10-15lb extra to that then that body would be muscular and be slightly noticeable with a shirt on. Brad Pitt is your height and he was 155lb in Fight Club. Granted, that body at that height looks only good without the shirt. However, in Troy he was 185lb. That body even on an average guy would look good with a shirt on.

All the lightweight boxers such as Pacuiao and Mayweather have quite good physiques. Can they look better? Perhaps. But if they became bigger would it help them more attracting girls on basis of their bodies alone? I doubt it.

I have already mentioned that combination of face, height, racial preferences and social circle play a bigger advantage than body alone. So a guy who is 6' might have an advantage over me because of height. But if his physique is already great at 200 then at 220, it wouldn't make big difference in terms of his looks further increasing his advantage over me. The areas where he might have more advantage with the extra 20lb is power and lifting more.

You play the cards you are dealt and in a decade of bodybuilding, even though I treat it seriously, I like to put more time in areas of life that I lack or can improve upon. I believe that would help me more in terms of attraction rather than getting bigger.  A body that looks good with a shirt on and is shredded underneath, with shoulders to waist ratio 1.5 above, is optimum. Fit plus athletic and not bulky. That kind of body at my height is attainable at 155lb.

Most people cannot change their face, height and racial identity.

What you can change is your body, whether you choose to be lean or fat or in shape.

I chose to add muscle and get in the best shape possible. It made a world of difference in terms of how people (women) responded to me.

Since I don't live near a beach, being shredded doesn't matter. I have visible abs which i am more than happy with.

Talking about famous people doesn't make sense, why people keep talking about Brad Pitt and fight club is beyond me.

Yes, you are dealt certain cards in life. I would suggest you work on your game and approach the women you like.

Agreed. And when I mentioned Brad Pitt, Bruce Lee or anyone else famous, I meant it completely for their bodies and taking their celebratory, facial aesthetic status out.
