For living accommodations? The closer to Greenbelt mall the better.

For regular girls? Anywhere near ANY mall. (They're going to take a jeepney to meet you anyways)

If you plan on smashing upper class chicks, go to the Fort. (But your game or looks better be airtight)

Use Trip Advisor and Google maps.

RE: The Philippines thread
hotels in Manila are expensive. Finding a decent 30 dollar a night hotel in a good area is basically impossible.

Finding a furnished month to month condo is the best deal, if you have the time and know you are going to stay there.

That's a sick deal! Thanks for posting. I already booked my flight to DVO and I am paying roughly $200 CAD. This would have been a great savings.

RE: The Philippines thread
Here are some Filipino dishes that I recommend you guys try when you're in the Philippines. Consult Google where you can find these, or have your girls make them for you.

1. Liempo (sometimes called inihaw na liempo) pork belly that's been marinated and grilled. This is like bacon on steroids.

2. Lechon, an entire pig that's been spit roasted over an open fire. What you get is pork that is extremely tender and juicy, and skin that's as crispy as chips.

3. Lechon kawali. It's lechon that is deep fried of instead of roasted. Similar in taste but different in texture.

4. Adobo, probably the most famous dish here, usually a meat cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, peppercorns, etc. Delicious when done right.

5. Sinigang, a famous soup dish. It's meat (usually pork but sometimes beef or fish) and vegetables in a tamarind based broth, making it meaty and sour at the same time, in a very good way.

6. Bulalo, another soup dish. This is a beef broth cooked with bone marrow, which gives it an intense beef flavor.

7. Tinola, another soup dish. It's a a ginger and onion based soup with chicken as the main ingredient and green papaya or squash.

8. Nilaga, yet another soup dish but with beef, potatoes, cabbage, etc. A simple dish but very tasty.

9. Beef kaldereta, same/similar to afritada (?). It's a beef stew with tomatoes.

10. Kare kare, one of the more interesting dishes. It's a meat stew with peanut sauce or peanut butter (!) as the main ingredient.

11. Tocilog, a common breakfast meal consisting of tocino (pork that's been cured and sweetened) garlic fried rice, and egg. There are other "-silog" meals but this is my favorite.

12. Kilawin, sometimes called kinilaw. This is basically the Philippines version of ceviche: tuna, vinegar, calamansi, onions, garlic, etc.

13. Sisig, chopped up pork face, fried and served on a sizzling platter. Sounds disgusting but pretty good as long as it's not too oily.

So that's it for now. I'm probably forgetting some but those are the main ones to try. This list doesn't include desserts, I'll do a separate list for those in the near future.

Loving the sisig, you can get all different kinds of meat. I've even tried the crocodile sisig, it was actually really tastey!

While I was in makati I rented a studio apartment 2 mins walk from greenbelt. I was using air b&b for a short stay and it worked out less than $60 a night. It was worth it for me as it had a sweet balcony and view. Logistics were spot on...

Ballsdeep - Rockwell is ok. Just round the corner from P.Burgos which is the main red light district in Makati. At Rockwell you have the PowerPlant Mall. This is slightly more high end than Landmark and Glorietta, but not quite on the same scale as Greenbelt 5, Shangri La Plaza (In Ortigas). There is not much in the way of actual night life in Rockwell so you would have to head to Greenbelt, Fort, Makati Avenue etc for that. I've got a lot of mates who live there, mainly in Joya. Bottom line is Rockwell is modern and safe and there are worse places to be holed up

Is Quezon City a good alternative to Makati? Looking to post up in a decent condo for a few months and do some work, and I don't really care about nightlife. I heard it's kind of a middle class area, and probably there is more foreigner value there.

Hey Paul B, can you name a few good traditional filipino places that serve good dished for like 7 bucks? I don't want anything really cheap and crappy, or anything too fancy. Any good places in Bonifacio that you know of?

I think QC is a good option, especially for the younger guy with the university campuses there. Foreigner value is going to be higher, as most foreigners don't make their way out to QC. Eastwood City may be a compromise.

The advantage of Makati is that a lot of girls I met worked in Makati, but lived elsewhere, so it's an area that they are familiar with and can meet after a shift.

RE: The Philippines thread
Can you guys give a breakdown of your general game style when in the PI for more than a few days and trying to smash through as many as possible? What I mean is, what expectations do you convey to her, implicit or explicit, and how do you manage the potential fallout afterwards? On DIA, for example, the vast vast majority of the girls 'say' they are looking for a serious relationship and long-term bf/husband. Do you present yourself to her as such? Do you avoid explicit promises/commitment but imply it by behaving in such a way that makes her believe it anyway? Or, if you find yourself with a girl that is obviously falling hard for you, do you make a point of telling her outright that you're just casual? How do you deal with it after? If you know she's going to be sitting by the phone crying and waiting for your call, do you care? If she starts texting you all the time to meet up again, do you lie and tell her you're busy? Ignore? Tell her to fuck off?

When I go for more than a few days, sure I'd like to plow through a bunch, but I also don't like to be a total dick. My philosophy is, as much as possible, there's no need to hurt anyone unnecessarily to get the goods and in fact, it's often possible to have a mutually beneficial hook up that will leave her happy even if there's no commitment. I have no problem lying if it makes her believe that she wasn't discarded like a tampon. Then she can look back on that "special" moment with a guy that, unfortunately, lives too far away for anything to really develop (or whatever other dream that makes her feel good).

One day I'd like to go for a month or two and I'm envisioning setting a new one up every day or two. But I'd have trouble just blocking them after I'm done because that's just a shitty thing to do, IMO. Ignore is the same thing. OTOH, replying with promises to meet again means that I'll have to disappoint them later when I don't, or I will meet again and ruin my streak. Do you lie and say you're just there for three days (sorry babe, no time to meet again before I go home)? If not, and the know you're around for several weeks, how do you handle their expectations and leave them better than before they met you?

Thanks Fisto. I've read that article before but it was a good refresher anyway. Good read, by the way.

It seems that you keep some "maintenance bangs" in your rotation. Is this solely because they're too good to let go? Or is it partly also because you don't want to be a dick and put them on ignore?

Being "very busy" with work is fine and all, but I still don't want to bang her and then coincidentally be too busy to ever meet her again. Anyone with half a brain is going to see through that and I'd rather not leave them feeling used. (In regards to the lying cheating bitches, I know there are a lot but it's not going to be all of them. I assume they all are in terms of how much I can trust them, but I can't bring myself to assume they all are to justify treating them badly. Cheating slut or not, I don't see the point in making her feel shitty if a little planning can leave her with great memories instead. Know what I mean?)

I've never had a problem managing before but I've also never banged a new girl every day or two for a month. LOL Maybe I'm thinking too much.

Hey Fisto,
Good read and good article! I will be leaving Thailand and headed to Davao in 48 hours. I plan on using a slightly diff strategy but not looking for high numbers such as you got.

With only a week, I want to attack the 8's, 9's and women w/ attitude (if they are around) and have some fun breaking those barriers. We'll see what happens!

Bix I was always honest with every girl I hooked up with in the Phils. I didn't lie and say I was looking for a wife or living there permanently. I just told them I was there until I got the urge to travel some more and I got out of a long LTR back in America as was not looking to get into another one. Being honest cost me zero bangs. I was honest about everything and it was great. I didn't have to put on a front or act like I was someone I was not. I was just me.... me living in paradise banging young women.

Thanks Cr33pin. Nice to know. Both times I was there before, I never had to lie or go out of my way to imply a future but they were short stays.

What about banging other girls? Were you open about it and were they cool about it or do you downplay it/lie about that? I've tried being open about that kind of thing before and it never works well for me. The few times it didn't stop the girl at first, it became a problem later. (But this wasn't in the PI.)

If I'm seen with a different girl in the mall the next day by the chick I banged the day before, is that going to be a problem? Again, my previous trips I didn't worry about that because the odds are too low but if you're there for two months I imagine it must happen a lot more.
