I disagree with the forum member saying we must not buy them clothes. Those wonderful creatures named the Filipinas need their captain who will fight for their well-being. Unfortunately I don't have enough money to buy my main 9 girl an education but I wish I could, sometimes I wonder if she's listening to me or if she's thinking about going back to her hamster wheel. By the way, she has done some acting before and would like to pursue this career - so if there some forum member in the movie industry, send me a pm.

As satire this is quite good.

The hardest question is what are you going to invest in first... her teeth or her boobs?

Nah, we do it the old fashion way. We find magazines and newspaper ads, see pictures with a small bio of the girls to see who we think would make the best candidate for a wife, then we write her a friendly letter expressing our intentions. If we're lucky, one will write back and then we can start talking about getting married. Some of us even use dating agencies like A Foreign Affair, because the investment is worth meeting 200 girls in one room for five days. You may need a translator, but who doesn't when going abroad. I'm sure with the 248 pages of information presented in this thread, you will find this is your best route.

As far back as I could remember, I always wanted to be a player.

For some reason, I become skeptical when supposed guys start to write about what "we" do? Just strikes me as problematic.

RE: The Philippines thread
So I need help with a big decision and I'd really appreciate some opinions from this amazing community.

Quick back story: I'm 28 from Sydney, Australia (which is an expensive pussy desert if anyones wondering I fucking hate it here) I'm in my last year of University (studying primary teaching) I took a few semesters off to start a few different businesses. Currently have a home-based business and I have around 60,000 AUD in savings. I still live at home in the suburbs though I could move out any time I've just moved back to help save. No kids, house payments, debt nothing.

Up until age 27, I'd hardly traveled at all. I was in a toxic relationship for a few years and when it ended I hit the wall hard. Months later after a lot of research I decided to take my first solo trip to the Philippines (mostly Manila) in December 2017 and it was LIFE CHANGING. I ended up going back again in January 2018 AND May 2018 - I'm completely addicted.

My Predicament: Until University starts again in February 2019 I don't have a lot going on. My family keep bugging me about getting a job which I should do because my business doesn't take up heaps of time BUT I'm seriously contemplating getting the fuck outta here and going on a 2-3 month trip back to Philippines. My longest trip has been 40 days and I left wanting more. I could stay there for 6 months easy.

I don't give a shit about owning a house here in Sydney or going out and partying, hanging with friends etc all i think about is how can I go back. My only thought process is should I get a job and then maybe go back in January just for the month instead or take a bigger leap and enjoy it because Im starting to realise we regret things like this in life which took me too many years to figure out.

Nice work.

Is the degree you're aiming to get a useful degree? As in, will you be able to apply it immediately to help you get to the places you want to get?

I say bounce. 60k is way more than enough, you're in a similar time zone, so I'd say get an online gig before you bounce.

Or, can you do the home-based business from another home? As in, is it a digital business, or mostly digital? Or does it require you to be physically present somewhere?

You'll never have the same combination of youth and freedom as you do right now. You may make more money if you stay, but you'll lose out on priceless youth. That's the way I see it in your case, anyhow, unless you have an exponential breakthrough coming up in your business. If it's more of the same, bounce.

Also, is the degree you're aiming to get a useful degree? As in, will you be able to apply it immediately to help you get to the places you want to get?

Yeah so the business is selling props on etsy.com so I need to be physically there making them when orders come through. Its a great side hussle but of course I can't take it overseas however, I still get orders while I'm away so I'm still making money I just complete them when I get back.

I used to have an Amazon FBA business which was location independent but for different reasons it failed.

In terms of my degree yes its highly favourable since its teaching. I can take it overseas to Europe or it would even help getting English teaching work if I decided to go down that path as well.

So you think just take the leap and go on a 2-3 month trip? In regards to the business increasing a lot soon, its doubtful orders will increase a bit for Christmas but nothing huge its pretty consistent throughout the year.

I keep thinking I was a billion times happier there than what I am here, I'm pretty miserable here to be honest for all the multiple reasons discussed throughout this forum.
