On the whole, this guy is pretty spot on. The comments made me laugh Banana

As much as I can agree that russian women are better than western ones, all the girls shown in the article appear to be hardcore gold diggers.

I can say that Russia can be a paradise, if you're good looking and you KNOW Russian.
If you don't know the language, not only you can't meet the girls, but also you can't ask for information, order something (a lot of restaurants have got only Russian menu), buy a SIM for your phone...
Yes, there is google translator, but if your phone battery is dead, it will be hard to come back to your apartment/hotel.
Everything is wrote in cyrillic, even the maps in the metro, so you must learn cyrillic if you want to use the subway.
I stopped a lot of girls for asking directions, because I was getting lost often, and on 20 girls only 1 can answer in a broken English.
So ONS it's really really hard, and before to get laid you need 4-5 dates, and because they are really busy, you need at least 2 weeks.

Lots of forum guys are getting laid in Moscow with only English, so this is not true.

Many signs in the center are bilingual, including all the metro maps and signs (wasn't the case 10 years ago).

ONS do happen, but not often. 3 date rule is standard in Eastern Europe.

You can get laid only with English, it's true, I get laid with a Tajik hostess (I met her in the McDonald near the Kremlin) and with a girl who I met at my friend's party.
But I will never forget the girls who stared me, and after they realized I didn't speak Russian, their interest went down like a balloon who is losing air.
It was like a Dante's infernal circle, full of pretty interested girls, but impossible to do something due to the language barrier.
For me that situation was a torture, but if someone like this kind of things, and consider good a place where only the 5% of girls speak English, it will be great.
About the metro:
I remember that only the red line had got bilingual maps (English/Russian), while the other lines were only Russian with transliterated sign (not all the times).
The worst situation in the metro was every time I had to choose between the 2 tracks (one in a sense, the other one in the opposite), because the signs were all in cyrillic.
I solved this problem downloaded the Yandex metro app, making the route with the app, and when it was the time to choose the binary, I asked to people showing the route on the phone, and they indicate it to me.
You're not the first one who said to me about the 3 dates rules, but with the 2 girls (not the ones who I mentioned before) I went out for 3 dates, and both 2 at the third date answered to me that they weren't easy girls, and for them the minimum was 4-5 dates (maybe I was just unlucky).

A useful info about transport:
The direct train from Sheremetyevo International Airport leaves you directly outside Belorusskaja-Kol'cevaja, and the metro ticket (the red ones) is 50 rubles, the same price for bus ticket (the blue ones). The tickets work in the same way as the contactless credit-card.

If a foreigner knows russian very well (not only speaking fluently, but using cases, prepositions and aspecst of verbs correctly, etc), it will be a huge DHV. Immense.

Never in my life have people stared at me in such awe in Russia and Belarus when they were realizing that I never lived in a russian-speaking country but could speak russian so well.

Speaking good and elegant russian goes a long way in former soviet republics. That will get you laid.

That alone will not get you laid, but it helps tremendously for sure.
Even the simple indication that you one seriously willing to learn their language and understand better their unique culture is a huge plus. It is so a big task for a non Slavic , that this boldness almost automatically raises admiration.

I've been planning a month long trip to Russia, but the consulate my state's assigned to (San Francisco) just got shut down. I need to get a visa, but have no idea what's going on, who I should send the documents to, and what kind of visa delays this will cause. Does anyone have information about the visa situation?

I'm in California. Fortunately my visa still has 2 years on it. I would google/call "Russian Connections" agency. Ask them how they are routing the visas. They are honest and got me 3 visas so far. One was as quick as 3 days. I'm sure they are on top of this situation and can guide you in the right direction at the very least.

Thank you for the answer. I contacted them, and for the benefit of anyone who might have the same question, they said they're handling visas through Seattle and New York for now, but they may have a special arrangement for that.

I don't like shilling for "PUAs" but Gambler is the real deal. He is surprisingly honest and humble in a sea of insecure validation seekers.

As for why he got married, I think most successful PUAs burn out after 100s of shallow interactions. They go from self improvement to great personal success to teaching then seeking something more LTR and eventual marriage. Paul Janka got married after dating a British girl for 6 years at 40 years old.

Can't fault him for marrying Russian and a 7 at 26 years old might be a good balance of maturity/youth/looks for an LTR, which is a different game than ONS or just dating for the bang.

I came to this understanding after spending some time in Russia. You would be better off with a 7 who wants a family and encompasses good values, helps you in life rather than a hotter chick who does not. Problem is men in the Anglosphere are so starved of female affection that they never develop the maturity that is needed to manage relationships with women. Well women that you are attracted to for that matter.

Do Russian women have different preferences in men than women in the Western world? Would you choose different pictures for your Tinder? If so, what would you accentuate?

I get tons of matches pretty much anywhere, but quite few when I tried to set the location for Saint Petersburg. Even though the quality of women seemed out of this world, quality of matches are higher everywhere else.

Wondering if it's my looks that don't do well in Russia or if it's because I absolutely need a bio in Russian?

Considering going to Saint Petersburg on exchange for half a year. So just trying to get a feel for whether Russia would be a poor investment for me.

For me it was the opposite. I've never had so many mactches as in SPB and it is the only place where I even had attractive girls text first (and they were not scammers).

I don't know if it might be your looks or something. Try writing a bio in Russian as most girls barely know any english.

RE: The Russia Thread
Bio don't matter in Russia.

Suits suits suits. Look like a fucking boss, look like you're in charge. Suit game and boss game drop panties here. Archetypes you want to aim for: James Bond, Vladimir Putin, Tom Hardy, Conor MacGregor if he wasn't so short and wore thigh-high shorts...you get the idea

But.

Forget everything that I just said.

Because chances are if you're asking this question, you're not the kind of guy that's good for suit game and boss game. So you're already changing yourself into something that you're not. And Russian girls are gonna sniff that out in an instant and rob you blind.

Maximize YOUR STYLE and YOUR LOOKS and pound that niche that is yours into the ground. If suits are not your thing, you're not gonna be able compete because Russian women snuff out incongruency and bullshit much faster and make you work much harder.

I'm just telling you the archetype that works well but it doesn't mean you can't own it with something completely different.

I'll probably make for a terrible game coach for not giving people magic pills lol.

This is interesting.

Is that because it signals that you're rich or because they want assertive alpha men?

There's no way I'd feel comfortable wearing suits all the time. It also wouldn't be congruent with my student budget and the relatively low standard living situation I'd be in. I'd probably have a budget of max $2k per month including everything.

I have a sharp fashion sense but it's smart casual mixed with streetwear. It kinda hurts to say but I have more of a Justin Bieber look. It sounds like that might explain it.

For game, I imagine being assertive is key? And for online photos, don't smile and look sharp?

RE: The Russia Thread
Both.

Yes, you want to look like you are in control no matter your archetype. I don't know what kind of girls or situations you go after but any Russian girl from wallflower virgin student to afterparty coked-up cumslut appreciates DOMINANCE and FRAME. At some point I'll start writing about this more, when I start making it a part of my site, but being someone that she looks up to is key.

Example: just now I saw some girl on my Facebook that I matched on Tinder back in the day and never met putting up a picture with her hipster boyfriend. Would I be this girl's type? Given the fact that we matched, maybe, but it's an uphill battle. But th key info is that even her hipster boyfriend is displaying good body language in their pic. Again, no matter what your niche is, not being a beta bitch soyboy is KEY.

To return to the original question. You want to communicate that in your pictures. I can even imagine hipsters looking pretty badass if they have the right style and the right pose (not saying you are one). There's no real right or wrong here. But on average you definitely want to communicate more "I got this" and less "Hi, nice to meet you". A sly smile worked wonders for me but then again, girls tell me I look at them like I'm sizing them up and just wanna fuck them (...how do they know??). When I switched on Tinder in Western countries my results would be totally off because of that.

Also, 2k is completely fine, you won't be out taking girls to the baller places (I'm assuming Moscow and SPB not some backward city) but you definitely won't be hurting either.

Pool time. So, in the meantime I got some notches in the Federation. Now, I wanna ask you guys: in which city are the girls more promiscuous (willing to have sex) in your opinion? For those who are looking for wife material: much respect to you bro, but this post is not for you guys. Not talking about relationship, but also not talking about working girls. Just normal women who like sex, simple. Also I am not talking about beauty, this should be a separate pool. Let's say, between the age of 18 and 45 and let's focus on cities with over 300k people. Please keep St. Petersburg and Moscow out of competition for obvious reasons, btw I heard from many Russian girls the saying "Moscow isn't Russia". Subjective guesses are allowed, like for example: "well, I have never been to Vladivostok, but I met 2 women from there, and they were very open minded, so I vote for it".
I will start: Kursk. This was my personal experience after being there.

Had to read twice to make sure this is a serious question.

How about wearing an overcoat or a winter jacket suited for these temperatures? Genuinely confused.

RE: The Russia Thread
Quick question:
When applying for a tourist visa, you are required to fill in the hotel and adress for every single place you are visiting. Its definitely out of the question to pre-book the entire trip, since I want to travel within Russia for 2-3 weeks in the summer during world cup.

On previous trips I stayed with friends and girl in only one city, so I didnt had to deal with this issue.

I know that hotels will register your visa on arrival on the first day, so will it be sufficient with only booking the first night and then Im "off" to travel free (also with domestic flights)?
