New here but wanted to share this article from the Daily Mail.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...itain.html

Apparently we're all misogynists!

If this was a website giving advice to women on landing the 'perfect man' then no doubt there wouldn't be a problem!.

Quote:On one PUA site, rooshvforum.com, there are more than 718,000 posts written by more than 14,000 members. Many are British.
There are various rules for joining the website, including: ‘No girls. Their opinions or comments are not welcome here unless they post a naked picture of their body.’

Commenting on the Rodger killings, someone calling himself ‘Dr Howard (Alpha male)’ suggests that ‘a short drive to [sleep with] a pricey hooker would have saved lives’.

One user, who says he prefers sex with foreign women, writes: ‘I’ll be the first to admit that many of my bangs were hate f****.’

From her website:

Welcome to my website. It’s not here just so that you can buy my books (though as a still-fledgling author I’ll be thrilled if you do). What I’m hoping is that we can start a dialogue. As you’ll discover if you read my novels/blog/journalism what I’m really interested in doing is engaging with women of my generation. Without talking specific numbers (it’s getting to that point, I’m afraid, when I’d rather not), I’m what’s called a baby boomer, and although no longer a baby I’m still booming. I love to hear stories about how women deal with their lives – their stories of success and survival. Tales of husbands, kids and friends, love and loss and work and laughter. Living well is the best revenge said the sagacious George Herbert, clergyman and poet. I’ll drink to that – with a mojito. What are you having?

Apparently their "poison's spreading to britan" and look who they quoted out of all choices...Roosh? The guy who actually writes articles and has his name on it? Tuth? Runson? How about a member with an actual british flag on his avatar? Nope.

Quote:Commenting on the Rodger killings, someone calling himself ‘Dr Howard (Alpha male)’ suggests that ‘a short drive to [sleep with] a pricey hooker would have saved lives’.

and they even managed to mis-quote me. I wrote a short drive to Nevada...where it is legal. How suggesting that someone pursue legal prostitution instead of harboring contempt for women is 'hate' I have no idea....

It was Roosh

"Roosh Vörek is a Maryland-raised PUA ("pick up artist") whose specialty is sex with foreign women; his blog is a sales vehicle for his books like Bang: The Pick Up Bible and Bang Iceland: How to Sleep With Icelandic Women in Iceland, which one Icelandic feminist group described as a "rape guide." Vörek likes to talk about his many "notches" (seductions) and such things as "American cunts who I want to hate fuck." He adds: "I'll be the first to admit that many of my bangs in the United States were hate fucks. The masculine attitude and lack of care these women put into their style or hair irritated me, so I made it a point to fuck them and never call again."

Oh yes, all of those RVF members who think Elliot Rodger was awesome and thought he took the sensible action. Oh wait, they don't exist? Oh double wait, the guys here think he should have worked on self improvement and stopped having such a sense of entitlement? Nah, that won't stop me, I'll write an article like this anyway.

Dumb ass.

Elliot would have been banned on this board going from his posts on other forums.

Don't take this seriously.

These same people who read and digest news from the MSM over here couldn't care less about Baby P 6 months down the line, or many of children who suffered similar fates.

To most people this article is worthless to them and it is circling the drain as we speak and soon forgotten.

"manosphere"? Whats that? People are forgetful.

RE: RVF mentioned in UK newspaper
I've read a bunch of these articles, and what's starting to strike me is their repetitiveness. They're all just repeating and echoing each other.

Every one of them cites "misogyny", that somehow even though Rodger hates PUAs he's just like them because the entire manosphere hates women. It's like the new "racist". Just throw an ugly name at them to group them all together to de-legitimize all of them.

Also, they all cite our "sense of entitlement" (as if women don't ever feel that). Rodger seems to have felt entitled to feminine affection ("I'll just sit here for a few hours and bitch about it when they don't approach me"), but the rest of us sure as hell don't. Every site I know of harps on how much you gotta work for it.

Last, they don't like to recognize the FACT that women DO go after bad boys. This article almost touches on it, but the elephant in the room is the massive chasm between what women claim they want and what they really want.

I guess they think that if we're called "entitled priviledged misogynists" enough we won't notice Rihanna's lust for Chris Brown or 50 Shades of Grey.

Credit where it's due, I guess. That has worked for society at large.

But there's no chance in hell it'll work on us.

You're entirely right if describing the average schlub out there.

But as for the media, I sense we've finally appeared on the radar for them as a "threat" that's going to have to be neutralized.

When 20/20 was going to do it's hit piece a while back, they retreated because we fought back. At the time, they probably thought the wisest move was to ignore us. After all, there was too much of a chance that our response to 20/20 might have had more impact than 20/20 itself. That would mean we would have made a good impression on people, and that can't happen.

But we've now been "exposed", so now's probably the time to try to do us in. I predict a large assault on the manosphere by the MSM in the very near future. We point out some very uncomfortable truths, so we've got to be othered before too many people listen to us.

The idiotic instincts you describe above that serve us well today (forgetting anything happened in a week) could easily work against us if 500 MSM voices all denounce us in concert. If people hear some variation of manosphere=woman-hating from the news, radio hosts, internet articles, and about 15 other places, to most people we'll be woman-haters, pure and simple. They won't use more than one brain cell to analyze what we've got to say ever again.

Articles like this one are just the start. Be ready.

It's funny. I recently forwarded an article written by a self proclaimed Female MRA who was denouncing feminism to one of my plates (who is FSU).

her reply made me chuckle.

She said "Its nice to see that in America they have so much free time in their lives to waste on such bullshit as if men or women is better" [SIC]

It's funny - just before the Rodgers killings occurred, I wrote a thread on feminists baldly lying (specifically denying that they said sex with a drunk person is rape). With the Rodgers shooting, the feminist practice of spitting outrageous lies has multiplied profusely - every newspaper has these sorts of lies now, eg lumping anti-PUA Rodgers with PUAs.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Yeah, they're actually the online newspaper business model everyone is copying, because they invented and had runaway success with the concept of 'Clickbait', which is why they're now more popular than The New York Times.

Another Manosphere article featuring RVF - Down Under
Quote:Nick O'Malley
US correspondent for Fairfax Media
View more articles from Nick O'Malley

'Make no mistake that this is a war against heterosexual men,'' wrote the blogger RooshV. ''This is the war of our generation. This is a war against men who are presumed guilty at birth, and whose innocence is mere purgatory until a newly devised outrage sends them to hell. You are the enemy and you will be denounced in the form of 'misogynist,' 'creep,' and 'sexist' … You will be prosecuted by the fattest and ugliest c---s of the land, with no hope of appeal.''

Last week's mass killing by another angry young man, Elliot Rodger, has drawn attention to the online men's movement known as ''pick-up artists'', a sprawling loosely affiliated network of sites that promote and sell tips for ''picking up'' while railing violently against women in general and feminists in particular. As the debate over gun control and access to mental health care that is typical after such shootings continued, this new discussion over the online men's movement spread.

It soon became clear that Rodger - who killed six people and then himself last week purportedly because he'd been rejected by women - was a member of an online group called PUAHate, a site for people who feel they have been tricked by the pick-up artist industry, which often charges men thousands of dollars for coaching in how to pick up women. Some associated with PUA groups used this as evidence that their movement had nothing to do with Rodger's circumstances.

In fact, says Professor Robert Heasley, a psychologist from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania who has spent years studying the online men's movement, the PUAHate site shares the PUA site's view of women.

The pick-up artist movement, such as it is, spread with a handful of websites and then books promising to teach men how to seduce women. It soon extended to pick-up coaching and boot camps that could cost attendees many thousands. As the industry grew it developed a distinctive jargon, some of it faux-scientific.

Some adherents claim to make use of an approach to communication, psychotherapy and personal development created in the 1970s, ''neuro-linguistic programming''. After a brief flirtation with NLP, science has lost interest in the topic, but pick-up artists who practise its techniques claim it enables them to manipulate any woman into having sex. Being skilled at these techniques is referred to as having ''game'' and women are referred to ''targets''. Men should aspire to be ''alpha'' and those who fail to improve themselves using game are derided as hopelessly beta.

As he prepared to go about his killing, Rodger said in one of his videos, ''I'll take great pleasure in slaughtering all of you. You will finally see that I am in truth the superior one. The true alpha male.'' He said he wanted to kill ''blonde sluts''.

What can be shocking when you start exploring these sites, though, is not just the intensity of the hatred espoused on them, but how general their hatred and anger. Virulent racism is common as is homophobia. Even eugenics is trotted out.

On one of the leading blogs a writer observes, ''No sense ignoring the race angle. Mixed-race people are more likely to have psychological disorders. And Asian men are especially susceptible to dating market lockouts.''

Heasley believes the movement is the product of both social trends and the internet's efficiency in linking extremists who might once have found it more difficult to create a community.

Many men, particularly white men, have found it difficult to adjust to a post-industrial world in which their status is being challenged not only by women but by gays and migrants. ''What is the use of being a white male if I can't get out of bed with that immediate advantage,'' he says.

While the venom spewed online often comes from outright extremists, conservative talk-radio nods and winks in its direction, says Heasley, citing Rush Limbaugh's use of the term feminazis.

The other jarring common element on the sites is that the hatred of women is matched only by the authors' desire for them. Heasley believes it is important to remember that many of these men not only find normal sexual relationships difficult, but all intimate relationships, with men or women, friends or family. ''It is not just sex, it is the full package these guys are missing. If you understand that you understand how angry they can be and how dangerous they can be.''

The rise of the movement and the virulence of its language has attracted the attention of the Southern Poverty Law Centre, America's leading hate-group watchdog. In a 2012 report, it listed 12 men's movement websites, including a blog hosted by one of the leading pick-up artist writers, known as RooshV. ''Although some of the sites make an attempt at civility and try to back their arguments with facts, they are almost all thick with misogynistic attacks that can be astounding for the guttural hatred they express,'' the report noted.

In a recent blog post, RooshV blames feminism for demeaning society, explaining that, ''As much fun as sluts are to bang, men can't help but value relationships with women who are more virginal, but when you create a pro-slut culture that encourages all girls to sleep around, another step towards garbage equality is created … The feminists are succeeding in dragging down quality girls to their inferior level.''

(Bold parts highlighted by me)

For the non-Aussies, The Age is Melbourne's Fairfax broadsheet. Our choice of print news in the capitals is pretty paltry, usually centring around a New Corp national broadsheet - The Australian - and tabloid (Right-wing big-business and populist respectively); a Fairfax broadsheet and the Australian Financial Review (centre-left intellectual and economic-liberal respectively).
