For personal income tax it's 18% as standard for worldwide income however if you're a temp. resident, you're only required to pay taxes on Ukrainian income.

Seek the advice of a qualified tax accountant with a specialisation in Ukraine prior to changing your tax affairs.

I heard this from a start up entrepreneur (who is Ukrainian) but of course if you are a foreigner it probably isn't as simple as that. For Aussies and Americans I believe the tax authorities expect you to pay them the difference regardless of how long you are outside the country (unless its over 330 and up to 90 somethingk in the USA). As a Brit, I think maybe it would work better in my case but I don't know for sure (income foreign sourced). More investigation needed. But maybe some feedback from the members here who have moved properly to Ukraine?

if you register yourself as private entrepreneur you may be able to pay 5% tax.

I really don't want to itemized my account and post it online. If you intend to get a visa D by starting a business I can point you in the right direction. It is understandable you are frustrated by the lack of clear information on the web but like I said before it is a multi step process with many variables. Its not my fault the Ukrainian government made it like this. Czech and Germany are easy, clear and concise. Ukraine is not like that. As far as handing over 100 dollar bills until you complete your project is pretty much normal in life for me. Sometimes you go over budget and sometimes you don't but if you sit around planning and pinching every penny you don't get anything done in the real world. Just my personal experience your mileage may vary. How many times have you accomplished things in your life where it was harder than or cost more than expected? For me it like that about every single time).

There are 3 million locals in Kiev. What kind did you associate with? You met a language exchange group at 2pm in a hipster coffee shop off Khreschatyk and they pulled butterfly knives? Chatted up a woman at the Opera House after a performance of Swan Lake and her oligarch bf sent his goons after you? Give us the low down.

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

For a bit more you can buy a Makarov or Zbrojovka handgun.

RE: The Ukraine Thread III
Ukraine vs Russia..

Now have been to both countries... I wanted to give my my comparison between the two. I am mainly just comparing living standards, and the women.

Ukraine

Positives:

1. Cheap
2. Girl to Girl..Ukraine has hotter girls

Negatives

1. Undeveloped country, city looks like shit compared to Russia, everything runs better in Russia. Traffic is worse in Ukraine, even though city like Kiev is 4 times smaller, and the roads are full of potholes.
2. Foreigners are everywhere, competition from Europe, and of course the Turkish guys (who can forget about them)
3. Full of P4P in Kiev, and Odessa because of economic conditions. Everybody taking value versus providing value.

Russia

Positives

1. Much cleaner and better run city, Mayor of Moscow doing a great job, you see a lot of street cleaning, painting, overall maintenance being taken care of. Metro system is massive. Definitely has some western options that Ukraine does not have.
2. English levels are actually higher in Moscow and Saint Petersburg surprisingly, to almost conversational level.
3. More diverse range of girls, from the higher end to the lower end. Just has Ukraine beat in overall quantity of girls.
4. Huge selection of nightlife options, this is not even a close comparison to Ukraine when it comes to nightlife, Russia is hands down better.
5. Lot less foreign hordes of sex tourists from Europe and Turkey.

Negatives

1. Rent is expensive as hell in Moscow and Saint Petes during the summer, generally higher overall. Russia is cheap right now for everything else due to the high value of the US dollar.
2. Need a Visa if you're planning on staying long term it will be even more difficult.
3. Girl to Girl not as hot though as Ukraine.

One last thing, this can go either way, this depends on your age range of course. Age sensitivity is more of an issue in Russia. They are not as open minded about huge age gaps, so beware of this.

If I had to make one choice it would be for sure Russia, just less competition, more girls to work with, and Russia all three options of night, day, online game all work there.

RE: The Ukraine Thread III
I would agree

Russia seems like the better deal.

After spending a long time in Ukraine, it was nice to go to a country where not everyone wants to escape, the girls don't automatically consider you a sex tourist, and girls often have proper jobs.

Although there are budget flights to Russia, the requirement for a visa is one of the biggest advantages, although they are planning some liberalisation.

You can also spend time in Russia without that nagging feeling in your head that it's "ruined" like in Ukraine

I spent ten days in Kiev, then had to go home, now have just booked a month in Mykolaev. Rent there is FAR cheaper, found a nice one bed with living room for 220 euros. My Ukranian friend tells me it's ok, but every search i've seen i get inundated with Marriage Scam type companies, or 'mykolaev city of brides'. Slightly concerned am going to be viewed as a sex tourist or a mark for gold-diggers, on this basis. Fact is just want to be in a city with a half decent pop (500k) where it's cheap enough to be self sufficient. Any thoughts?

@Elmore I haven't been there myself but I have been to a city of about 300k in West Ukraine. My advice; Have a good backstory as to why you are there, daygame is the way to go but you gotta do it somewhat discretely. I found there could be a bit of ignominy for women hooking up with foreigners. Having said that as long as you don't get confused with being a turk/arab etc and your fitness, aesthetics etc are in the ballpark, you should experience a bit of a halo effect. Some guys have chimed in on the "Kiev housing prices" thread with useful info on this matter. Best of luck.

Agree 100pc

The girls in these cities are reluctant to walk with you in the centre, she'll drag you through quiet streets at nighttime

Get a local guy in these cities to pretend he's an It guy and you came to work with him.

It has a club called Caprica which is not bad. There's a main street where the ladies like to parade in the evening, best pick up place in the city.

If you get bored there, then Odessa not far away

The intent isn't aligned with the new rules as I was experimenting who can and who cannot be trusted but certain people do not understand that there is a finite amount of cash I carry and spend.
A local gopnik didn't like the fact I had no cash for the next bill. I'm not bearing the brunt of the bills especially if it's his idea. Fuck that shit.

At the worst point we were grabbing each other's shirts arguing over this but he let go and so I ran off, again.
He did have a butterfly knife in his bumbag but he didn't think about using it.

The places I am now familiar with both day and night can debit my current card easily so I had little need to carry significant amounts of cash.

Some Ukrainians I didn't have a problem with.

A local dude showing me photos of his elaborate Chinese tea setup and collection while talking about and listening to rap music along with his black friend. He didn't use his simplistic yet rough upbringing as an excuse to hustle people.

Maybe one Ukrainian guy upset that I was speaking Russian but was obviously a prick. Neither Ukrainians nor non-Ukrainians had this issue. There's many people from other FSU countries in Kiev. I'm sure there's a conflict going on between Ukraine and Russia but besides having an EE ancestor I don't have any further association nor interest with either.

Ukrainians can be politically incorrect and they express themselves as they please:

- A random stranger on the street made a slant eyes gesture
- A Ukrainian guy saying no joke, My workplace is very niggery
- Another Ukrainian guy shouting, I am the real nigga motherfucker

I was getting approached for so many different reasons anywhere and everywhere, from the worst to the best reasons:

- The gypsy woman and her obnoxious offspring strikes again
- These street hustlers and beggars chose me out of the 20 or more people chilling close by. If these pricks were to target Asians I suggest they should least speak an Asian language and not beg in Russian/English. Either
-- Told them to fuck off in English
-- Ask then to go speak an Asian language first and piss off, in an Asian language
- Men and women asking if I want "massages", no thanks
- A Ukrainian woman speaking Chinese to me first. She and her older Chinese male accomplice were Jehovah's witnesses. Pass.
- "I like your British accent", thanks but meaningless unless it goes further. Not only that but I don't have a British accent.
- A Ukrainian dude spotted me as the only Asian guy in a place, was only able to speak Russian but was very excited about his upcoming holiday to China.
- A middle aged Ukrainian man spots me as the only Asian in the club. Offers me a shot. As a precaution I watch him pour shots for he and myself from the original container.
- A few different normal Ukrainian women speaking Chinese to me first. They lived and studied in China. What it felt like:

- Random woman in a nightclub and eventually do what needs to be done. Hump

There ends Kiev the short romance and action movie. That's all folks.

In Ukraine supposedly the use of firearms is not permitted outside of hunting.
Local gopniks lack the reasoning skills that differentiates them from wild animals.
Can they be treated like wild animals in this instance?
Evil

If these local gopniks fit the stereotype to the tee they should never be trusted.

Correct, although there will be plenty of women working for dating websites there who will speak well. Some of these girls are translators fresh out of uni, and haven't been corrupted by the work yet

Is the whole marriage / dating industry / goldigger scene that big there? Starting to think I may feel like a mug being a solo westerner there. Are there a lot of guys there that go for introductions from these kind of places? Don’t really want to get associated with that scene tbh.

If you are serious about finding local women in a new country for LTRs / marriage and not just ONS like Roosh did, you need to take the time to learn the language and culture and make non loser local male friends to show you the ropes in relation to your specific social status / financial situation who can also serve as an introduction point to respectable women.

The older you get the harder this gets.

Totally different situation from grandpa going to a gold digger agency...

Yes, they don't call it the "city of brides" for nothing

If you look on YouTube you will see vids of buses full of geriatric windowlickers from America looking for their desperate princess.

I don't know what age you are, but students are probably the best bet, older ones have too much history in that city.

Worst comes to worst you can always ditch the city if it doesn't work out for you, your rent is cheap.
