Woman photoshopped to 'ideal' beauty of 25 countries
"Radio journalist Esther Honig conducted an experiment using Photoshop and international graphic artists to explore cultural differences in concepts of beauty. It all started with a photograph of Honig, a straightforward self-portrait. She isn't made up. She wasn't attended to by an army of stylists. It's just an honest image.

Honig then hired 40 different graphic artists in 25 countries to rework the image with the simple instruction, "make me beautiful." She used freelancing platforms like Fiverr to locate the digital artists and paid between $5 and $30 for each image. She calls the project "Before & After.""

http://www.cnet.com/news/woman-photoshop...-countries

You can find the gallery of actual images here: http://www.estherhonig.com/#!before--after-/cvkn

Note that none of the images made her look heavier or gave her any tats or piercings.

RE: Woman photoshopped to 'ideal' beauty of 25 countries
I've seen this posted on Facebook before.

PC-feminists have been pointing to the variance in the photoshop outcomes across countries as proof that beauty is socially-conditioned--whereas what this really demonstrates is variance in photoshop-stylisticality and skill across countries (and within each countries' individuals, as well).

She doesn't look much different in the majority of shots: it's simply, 'much the same, with makeup'.

Society already knows women use makeup if they want to appear marginally (1-2 points) more attractive.

Next up: she researches if bears shit in the woods.

Looks like Italy did the best job of just clearing up the complexion without making it look plastic or adding whore levels of makeup.

It's hilarious how all the SWPL types are hailing this as proof that beauty standards are different all around the world when her fundamentals are completely the same in every picture: oval face, feminine proportions, healthy hair, slimness, youth.

RE: Woman photoshopped to 'ideal' beauty of 25 countries
This just shows that men all around the world want a feminine girl with tits and skinny body. I wish this bitch did it with a full body photo. All of the countries would have photoshopped her to look thinner. Most would have put her in tight clothing or short skirts. It is universal around the world, men want to fuck hot skinny bitches that are feminine. American feminazis of course want to pretend that somehow you can alter this reality so men will prefer manly obese loud American bitch.

RE: Woman photoshopped to 'ideal' beauty of 25 countries
What exactly is this supposed to tell me? She looks pretty much the same in almost every picture.

It's true that many historical societies have had standards of beauty that differed from what we have today, such as articial cranial deformation in ancient Mesoamerica, foot-binding, and extreme types of body modification in some tribal societies. There have even been ancient societies that viewed chubby women as the ideal, since it was a sign that she came from a wealthy family and could be fed. A lot of modern societies have developed similar beauty standards due in part to globalization, but you can still find some cultural differences, for instance some cultures value curvy and busty women more while others consider petit frames with minimal curves more attractive. Some societies think having a tan is beautiful, while others consider white skin ton to be an ideal. This little art project, however, did nothing to convey that. At best, it just shows the competence and tastes of the individual artist doing the photoshopping.

Disclamer: I am not the Sargon of Akkad from Youtube and I have no relation whatsoever to that person...also, I don't give a shit about videogames.

RE: Woman photoshopped to 'ideal' beauty of 25 countries
In the US pic she looks like she went to a prom in the 1980s. Who the fuck did those lousy photoshop-pics? Beauty is is universal - a good looking man or woman will be perceived as pretty no matter what. While there are some preferences for light skin tone in the world and some races like the native Australians are not as aesthetically pleasant, beauty is recognized by 1-YROs in plenty of tests.

1-2 year-old toddlers have often been tested regarding beauty - strangers come into their designed play room and then it is measured how long the children will look at the person or even try to interact with them. They found out that the less pretty the person is and also the more fat (!), the less the children will want to look at the person. The highest results got very pretty blonde women. If attraction was taught by society, then children would be as likely to be all over the fat ugly women, but those got ignored the most.

Cannot find the link to one of the studies right now if anyone is asking.

RE: Woman photoshopped to 'ideal' beauty of 25 countries
This news is incomplete in the link. I saw this on Facebook and here is the original request as far as I remember:
1) Make me more beautiful,
(and when the photoshop artists asked for more details)
2) Make me look like a woman in your country on the cover of a magazine in your country.

You see, this changes everything. The differences in the photos are not due to subjective beauty standards as our brainless progressives are led to believe. The woman in the photo asked photoshop artists to make her 1) more beautiful and 2) more local. But of course, most people had to ignore the second part to interpret this the way that serves them (the wrong way) and come to a twisted conclusion that beauty is subjective. Even the news report deliberately left out the second part. Because any literate person can defeat this hamster logic just by reading the headline and understand that the changes in the photo are not due to different beauty standards, it is due to how local women look in different countries. But no, oohh no, they had to take this already interesting news, change it, lie about it and use it as a proof that beauty doesn't matter and it's okay to be ugly and fat.

I hate this mind control.

I spent 20 minutes dicking around on photoshop and was able to come up with something better than half of those photos.

"International graphic artists" my ass.

It would be interesting if they were asked to make her look ugly. They'd probably all add fat and wrinkles and grey hair and make her look masculine.

RE: Woman photoshopped to 'ideal' beauty of 25 countries
I'm baffled how anyone could take this as evidence that beauty is cultural.

First, they didn't gather the collective opinion of a large sample of people from each country. They just gave the task to 1 or 2 artists from each, so no shit there's going to be some variation in each individual's style and skill level, just like there would be if you got 25 people from the same town to do this project.

Secondly, they're starting out with a very beautiful woman (who looks like she just rolled out of bed... but make no mistake, she has the potential to be smokin'), and having the artists photoshop attributes that have only a marginal impact on beauty. At least 80% of a girl's attractiveness comes down to her body shape and facial structure, both of which are scientifically proven to have universal preferences, yet these photoshop artists are just changing her makeup, eyebrows, hairstyle, and sometimes clothing... things that only slightly move the needle on hotness, and which no one even claims are universal.

I don't think beauty is socially conditionned. I think it's more biologically conditionned.
- Black men tend to be more V-shaped than other races, so they are more interested in curvy women whic usually means size plus women. Besides, from my experience, these girls tend to be very more horny than skinny girls.
- Asian men are often short and skinny, so they tend to prefer petite women with beautiful faces.
- White guys are more in the middle but they still put beauty over sexual potential. However, if given the choice, they'd take both. That's why Russian and Latina are so popular I guess (Big tits and and beautiful face)

French Translator makes idiotic comments. Thats for sure.

I am 6'2 and white. Why is it I find a tall, curvy latina, just as sexy as a 5 foot asain that weighs 90 pounds? My body doesnt physically mirrior either.

Also, what happens when you are half African, and half filipino? What do you find attractive then? Big black booty? Or short with a nice rack? Is it ok to like both? Please explain.

What about at the age of 14, when your biological body might not be fully developed, do you like different girls once you reach 17, then 22, and so on?

Read what you write man.

Make up isn't used to make women look better. It's used to trick men into thinking that they are horny and looking for sex.
It's used to accentuate the eyes and give some color to the cheeks. Blushing is a sign of female horniness.

If their skin was clear and natural you could read their emotions on their face as their skin tone fluctuates with their hormone levels.
But instead they cover it up with a layer of spackle and color it slightly red to make you think they're always horny. It subconsciously
attracts male attention.

It's just like when baboon's asses turn bright red. It means they're ready to go.
