I'd forgotten how incredibly cheesy that MV was.
Speaking of cheesy:

...or maybe just plain gay? Bowie pretty much hooked up with whomever walked into his path, I wouldn't be surprised if he had a fling with Jagger at some point.

Just watched the Bohemian Raspbody movie and I never realized all the great songs Queen had. Been watching the Youtube videos and Adam Lambert isn't that bad either. I can't believe Brian May is still rocking at 70 years old!

That was a sad way to begin the week, they had some quality material. Followed up in 85 with a new album leading with "Life's What You Make It" and then rounding out the decade with "Colour of Spring" with the rich track "I Believe in You".

Mark Hollis disappeared out of the music biz to devote himself to family saying "I can't be on tour and be a good father."

Thanks for this post. I thought I'd seen every '80s teen movie, but this is a new one on me. I'm tempted to compile a list, but that verges on the insane. As always, I'll mention "The Malibu Bikini Shop," "The Last American Virgin," and "Party Camp" as must-see obscurities.

True story: One Saturday in the summer of 1989, my brother and I went to a DC-area record store called Joe's Record Paradise. In the shopping center parking lot, they happened to be having an actual bikini contest, replete with music and dancing girls in thong bikinis (which were then new). We stayed and had a good old time. My point? If these movies seem outlandish and unrealistic, think again. The '80s really were like this, at least for teens!

Admit it, the energy was just better in the 80s.

Propaganda had a really original sound for their time. That first record they made is a classic; so many good songs on it. It's a shame they disbanded soon after.
