It's all regional. Asians photo shop their eyes acne, and tits. Women here do their legs, waist, and ass.

The focus on the butt is one of convenience for today's females. They've gotten much fatter and the ass is the one place you can point to as a positive when you gain weight as a woman.

If anything, I think this is a sign we're devolving into a Third World society (there was a previous thread on here long ago about this, so it's not my idea).

The way I see it is like this:

Butts: signify the primal and are preferred by very low class men and women.

Breasts: signify the maternal and are the preference of men from blue collar backgrounds who might be insecure and looking for mother figures (i.e. "I don't care if she's fat -- look at them boobs!").

Legs: long legs are a sign of good breeding and point to classiness in a woman.

Legs were a big deal in the 1980s. But we had a different society and different breed of woman back then. They were bred to be leaner, for one thing. Back then, a fat girl making a video like "All About That Bass" would have been laughed out of town. Now she's a celebrity.

This is not the sign of a society that's healthy -- in any sense of that word.

I'm all for slumming, but to see the entire country go in this direction is disheartening. It's also annoying when The New York Times puts its stamp of approval on a trend. There's usually an ulterior motive. See my sentence #1 for that motive.

Addendum: I forgot to mention large asses don't age well. Having seen my female classmates grow older ("My eyes, my eyes!!") I can tell you what's "hotttt" in that area at 18 becomes scary once the woman in question has pumped out a kid or three. You've been warned.

Yeah, I'm not buying the hype. What they're selling seems to be not the toned, proportionate arses of athletic women, but exaggerated, cartoonish hippo-esque arses. This gives overweight women a reason to think they're far higher value than they are, and just adds another, more socially-acceptable way for girls to attention whore.

Women have this delusion that if you squeeze fat, untoned flesh into leggings it becomes magically-tight, so get used to holding down your lunch on the street as fat girls think they're all that.

This trend is only being hyped because the standards it encourages are lower and take less discipline to achieve.

I also suspect this also has something to do with the progressive agenda to normalise anal sex as superior to Penis-In-Vagina. Anal sex: like trying to push a Doberman through a Doggy Door, while the Doberman shits on you.

For me: long, toned legs up to her ears, coupled with feminine deportment. Does she walk with feminine grace?

There is such a range of athletic women that athletic is practically meaningless. The ass of a weightlifter? The ass of a volleyball player? Of a sprinter? A marathon runner? An ass can be at once large and belong to an athlete.

To be sure, a big ass can be cover for a girl who is simply fat - thus my post before highlighting skinny girls with a big ass.

In an age when having any balls are principally limited to the lower classes, this is a compliment. Going "primal" in various ways is frequently doled out as advice here, so I fail to see the problem.

This has been long coming.

The breakthrough pioneer was Sir Mix A Lot's magum opus "Baby Got Back" of course. To this day whenever I am on a dancefloor and this song gets played - and it always does - all the girls go wild, start grinding hard and singing along.

I think another reason is that naturally big boobs are just rare. Asses are more abundant, easier to achieve, and more enduring. That's why most of my guy friends say the same thing - ass is necessary and breasts are like the icing on the cake but not as necessary. What other choice is there?

Northern European bros, have you noticed a lot more ass on girls? I have been back and either my tastes have changed - noticing girls with bigger asses more, or a lot of young girls really have more ass. I see a lot more round big asses on the street, still with flat shoes and jeans instead of heels and tight skirts, but I'm not complaining.

Is that a good thing? Does not look like it to me. Our Black American dysfunction spilling over into the greater population, all for what? Excess fat is not healthy or cool. Think of the stress excess weight puts on women's bodies. They are already petite. They have less dense bones than us. They cannot heft around that junk like we can. It even helps ruin their ovaries with cysts and floods their systems with more estrogen than necessary. Women by default store fat in the ass, pelvic, and tricep areas naturally. Processed carbs and sugars make it worse because the brain sends instructions to body to store this excess energy in those exact same areas, merely compounding the problem.

Yeah it feels fucking good letting a woman with a fat ass smash up and down. You'll bust a nut fast. But putting their asses on a pedestal feeds their hamsters. Ass worship is beta and is a kind of male hamster. We slam fat bitches all the time but worship their fat asses. A lizard that needs a paper bag on her face, gets the ok because "dat ass doe"?

Big breasts are rare because they are a natural occurrence that varies greatly in size regardless of BMI, within certain weight numbers. Asses are easy to achieve because it is lazy in nature to acquire one. Fat women cry all the fucking time when they lose weight and all of it happens in the breasts and not their fucking stomachs. You cannot fool the human body. It will burn up the easy fat first. Always.

If men are drunk or high enough, we would fuck damn near anything. I get that. We are all capable of slamming a slumpbuster when desperate. What we probably should be more careful about is not putting this dysfunction on a pedestal publicly. It undermines practically everything we stand for as redpill males. Black men need to start weening themselves off fat assed women. Other redpill men are doing their part, shunning ridiculous women and other fat women. We should start doing our part as well.

I'm old enough to remember when Sir Mix-A-Lot hit with "Baby's Got Back" in the spring of 1992.

I agree hip hop culture has influenced all of this. But there is a major difference between then and now.

Back then, "Baby's Got Back" was considered a quirky song about outliers. It was almost a novelty. And by "outliers," I mean the few women who had huge butts and the men who liked them. It was mostly "a black thing" -- as the old saying went -- but not even representative of the entire black community. The hottest black women back then -- like Vanessa Williams and Lisa Bonet -- weren't flaunting their butts.

Today, it's women singing or rapping about themselves with songs like Jennifer Lopez's "Booty" and Mindy what's-her-name's "All About That Bass" -- not men admiring those women. So it's morphed into a first-person form of self-love, especially since the songs are built around videos designed to go viral.*

Women can't really do this with breasts, because they're too sexual, or with legs, because that's too subtle. But butts give them the perfect excuse to celebrate themselves without shame. Not a good thing, IMO. And now we have the the New York Times calling it the new normal.

So, the big butt trend has gone from being a quirky thing we could smile at to being women justifying their own narcissism and (let's admit it) obesity. And recasting that as sexy. I like some of it too, but a little goes a long way.

And while that's not necessarily bad, what comes next will be what happened when gay culture went mainstream or when trans culture moved itself to the center. First came the calls for acceptance, then it became "accept it or else."

We've already got the fat acceptance movement and women whining trying to make themselves immune to criticism by crying "body shaming!" constantly. This is more ammo for them.

Choosing to like big butts is one thing, but the way American trends go we're not going to be allowed to have a choice pretty soon.

I think all of these self-esteem anthems are a sign at how desperately unhappy the average modern woman is. Whatever they've been doing to build little girl's self esteem by telling them they can be anything since I was in school 30 years ago obviously isn't working, (and trust me, there was just as much handwringing about the tendency of women to be lazy, uncurious and mediocre intimidated out of following their dreams by evil men even back then).
