RE: Video games
Picked up my copy of Divinity 2 Original Sin: The Definitive Edition for my Xbox One.

I'm not going to be getting too much work done this weekend for sure. Easily the best RPG I've played since the original Dragon Age.

He was a young adult studying, working part-time and being a super-hero in his spare time. The kiddie direction only came much later.

And that, in turn, because the eternal adolescence the system wants us in began to engulf younger generations. Comics - bar some of the excremental SJW stuff, and see how that's destroying the medium - basically reflect what's going on around us in society. Peter Parker got more immature because his readers got more immature. I believe this is a major reason why Andrew Garfield's run on Spider-Man didn't net him a third film -- not because of corporate antics, but because he actually seemed to behave like more of a fucking adult than Tobey Maguire's 14-something portrayal and then Tom Holland who basically looks like he's 14 for real. This turned off his mouth-breathing readers, especially the older ones who were aware, on some deep, uncomfortable level, that Andrew Garfield was actually more of a fucking man than they were.

"The hiring of Holland, the youngest actor to take the role so far, suggested a desire to keep Parker young. Sony didn't want him to be an adult struggling to make it in the real world. Nor did the studio want him to be a young adult. They want Spider-Man to remain young, a snot-nosed punk even."

I watched Amazing Spider-Man 2 in theatres twice. It's what Spider-Man 3 should have been.

Highly recommend Spider-Man for PS4. Graphics, Sound, Story, Gameplay (combat, web-swinging), it's all top notch.

RE: Video games
I'm a little too late to the party, but I started playing the Witcher 3 game two weeks ago. My thoughts so far:

Roach is the most retarded horse in the history of all horses in games.

Geralt has obtained super human powers, but he cannot survive a 6 foot fall.

Having to repair swords and armor is a waste of time, money, and it's too annoying.

Aside from those issues this game is easily a 9/10. There are some very tense moments like when you are surrounded by a bunch of higher level monsters and you have to carefully evade their attacks while trying to slay them. The graphics are good, at least for a console. As any other massive RPG i get lost in side quests which are fun because the environment is sometimes different and it keeps me wondering, what ugly monster has to be slayed.

I also like the soundtracks, especially the 'lelelelele' song that plays in the background every time I see monsters in the wild.

Yes. I accidentally skipped the dialog and kept clicking the square and X button, until I finally burned the baron's wife by accident when I chose to burn the wrong doll. I usually don't have patience for dialog in games so I guess it kind of cost me a lot.

Glad someone else noticed the ridiculous fall damage.
Most of the time you can avoid it by spamming roll when landing, but you shouldn't have to. I lost count how many times Geralt died falling to basement or jumping from stairs.
That being said it ruined RPGs for me, since any new RPG I have played thus far might have been good, but it hasn't been "Witcher 3 good".

Well he's played the games and read the books at least so he'll know when they're messing up and he's a biggish name he might well have a say in how it goes, it's be nice for Cavill to play a character just for once where the source material isn't bastardized for a depiction.

Cavill doesn't have the biggest range in the world....but I it may work out well quite well with this character and I like the guy in general from interviews, #metoo etc

I too like Cavill. He was a fat teenager and a late bloomer, so he knows what it's like not to be cool. I think that's probably why he comes across so well — he probably realises how lucky he got genetically (though obviously he puts in hours at the gym for Superman). Plus, there was an interview with him in one of the Sunday papers my parents read — I forget which one, but I was over and decided to read it. It was great, he was completely unapologetic about how good his life is, but did so with charm and genuine humility.

Basically:

"I get to play the most famous superhero in an age of superhero movies, and kids think I actually am him. That's so awesome, I'm really luck and grateful"
"I get paid ridiculously well to have fun, which is awesome, I'm very lucky"
"I have loads more dating options than I did as a teenager, but unfortunately most of the women who talk to me just want to tick "sex with Superman / famous guy" off the list."

I imagine in the grand scheme of things, there's worse problems to have.

I would be happy to have that problem. Tick off that box darling, my list encompasses fucking your box, so we are all set on that front.

Dan Bilzerian does not seem to have that conundrum.

That would appear to be because Bilzerian pays his prostitutes upfront and - one assumes - reasonably generously.

Cavill doesn't, he gets freebies, but as a result has to constantly worry about one of his box-ticking prostitutes turning into a #MeToo and paying her out at a much higher rate of interest. He's even alluded to the phenomenon, no wonder he's worried about where he sticks his dick.

RE: Video games
< I think that he did that interview pre #metoo and not having this in mind.

Simple solutions to all of that - full-on recording at your home - the cops just get the porn vid and you allude that you may have shared the vid with a friend so if it comes to court, then it's possible that it might get leaked and be up on TMZ while the bitch claims that I raped her - the optics don't look so good when the rape encompasses her screaming: "Fuck me sledge-hammer-style!"

Spiderman looks to be a bestseller just as Doom is likely to be.

Proof once again that the target demographic of chauvinist men don't like to be insulted, don't like women to lord over them, don't like to be called uneducated when they point out the obvious, don't like to be lectured in social justice and they don't like to have the entire fucking game be about microtransactions and no single-player mode at all.

EA must be boycotted at all turns - otherwise they won't learn.

Frankly I don't even think that they learn - they have trillionaire money funding them, so let them pay their salaries for pushing social justice crap.

We think "why on earth do companies keep pushing socual justice stuff when it always loses them money"... and it's easy to think "well why don't they just stop?" However, aside from a potential ideological push, imagine being in that kind of environment. I work in the marketing dept of a fairly trendy brand, and pro-diversity Nike ads are seen as the gold standard by companies in all sectors. Standing up and being THAT guy who speaks out is incredibly difficult in an environment where saying "I think UKIP are not too bad actually" is akin to saying "I fully support Adolf Hitler". Even if you're a top executive, perhaps even more so since you're surrounded by other virtue signallers. At least that's one of my theories for why these companies never learn their lesson. That, alongside doubling down and a lack of genuinely exploring why their product is failing for fear of offending SJW employees/execs.
