I figure its one of the few games low on faggotry and I'm wondering if it will still hold up well enough in the HD age.

Or in other words, will I be left disappointed with last-gen tiddies?

Haven't you already played Witcher 3?

Yes, but I haven't finished it and I thought it might be best to invest in a long term strategy for stringing out pre-faggotry titles.

It's like a doomsday prepper mentality for gaming. I just bought The Witcher (1) which I'm going to treat as an interactive story. If I add up all the time I'd otherwise spend reading character and story footnotes in TW3 then I'll probably break even.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

This was way before any political outrage. It was centred on the F1 (3rd person) view being used in Rogue Spear. They clamped down on it, declaring it as cheating. Laugh

It wasn't cheating because everyone could use it and this one faggot admin took exception to me questioning his like for the series when they turned it into another generic shooter. Laugh

When a company does that then they're not for me and I've kept to it since.

Google is entering the Game industry.

Google is one of these companies which can provide a service without any financial gain, because they make most of their money with the search engine and the ads.

Google said this is a “game platform for everyone.”

All of the legwork to render those games is done in Google’s cloud.

People will be able to play Stadia games at their highest quality on low-powered machines, from laptops to TVs and phones, wherever they have an internet connection.

Google will also sell a special Stadia controller.

Cloud gaming has failed a few times before. If I recall correctly primarily because the high speed, low latency (the latter being particularly important) infrastructure just isn't in place for most people. The majority of potential customers - even many who may have fast internet connections - live too far from a data center.
But I'm guessing Google of course has the option of running a vastly larger number of data centers than those who tried before.

RE: Video games
Konami apparently is giving fans what they want, compilations of their greatest series like castlevania, metal gear, and contra. The compilations will be appearing on pc/steam, xbox, ps4, and switch. I'm like 'just shut up and take my money already". I'll wait for a steam sale.

Still waiting on a full list for castlevania and metal gear and contra. I'm hoping we get rondo of blood, sotn, the gba castlevanias and the ds games as well. RIght now they only have the arcade games, its 8 games for 20 bucks. They can get away with charing a lot more for the castlevania games if they really put up a best of lineup together.

I don't play first-person shooters.

Why is RedDed doing that now? Have they gone Sith?

I prefer a nice game of Checkers with Brute Monsters on the Millenium Falcon...

Sega and Namco aside...

So great and so ahead of its time. The peak of the series. You couldn't capture how MGS2 played out in a book, it wouldn't work nearly as well.

I had zero knowledge about the flags (I knew there was 9/11 censorship but I assumed it was just destruction at the end game), though I actually there is something more tragic about reaching out for something that he wants to see but in fact isn't there.

For that google remote gaming thing, how in the hell can an internet connection operate faster than the graphics card bus?

Assassins Creed is one of those couch popcorn type games that is forgiving in how snappy everything needs to be so they get away with higher delay in exchange for prettier graphics.

Console FPS games are quicker and something like Counter Strike:GO for PC can get as low as 10ms on optimized setups. Street fighter 5 players almost took to the streets over 8 frames (~130ms) of input delay after the previous game only had 4 frames delay (~65ms)

If this takes off, it'll be because it's a combination of 'good enough' for non-competitive games, relatively low barrier to entry (Just need very good internet and you can play on anything) and a presumably wide variety of games for a low price.

The Digital Foundry test suggests it will only add around 20-30 ms, which might be a lot to a competitive PC gamer on high end equipment, but the numbers showed there are not actually much higher than what's common for 30 fps console games, including the competitive ones (whether it's 60 or 180 ms doesn't really matter much for competitiveness if it's the same for everyone - not factoring in differences in display lag and internet).

However that's under best circumstances. It's still very hard to believe this will work well for everyone under real world conditions.

RE: Video games
The Witcher was brutally painful to get started on. The combat system is sort of bizarre and clunky. Anyone that's played it will know what I'm talking about. The opening scene does a really good job of making you want to flush the game into the recycling bin.

But having pushed through that, the rest of the game is actually shaping up really well despite its age.

Kickin' butts and dickin' sluts. This is the kind of toxic masculinity I can approve of. Shame more game aren't like this.

I would think so, plus you don't need to pay for XBL gold. I think the main appeal will be playing Halo with a mouse and keyword. It might revive the halo competitive scene...
