Accuser could spend a year in jail for falsely claiming NFL player punched her.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...-face.html

A Seattle woman who lied to police and falsely accused Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch of assault could spend up to a year in jail for the stunt.

The Bellevue Police Department on Thursday recommended criminal charges against Jammie Ficarelli, 31, who told authorities that Lynch, 28, had punched her in the face on Aug. 10. She also claimed her Louis Vuitton purse had been damaged in the alleged attack.

But cops say that Ficarelli was wasted the night she claims she was assaulted and mistook a 5-foot-11 black man with dreadlocks for the NFL player, according the Bellevue Reporter.

Instead of being punched by Lynch, she drunkenly fell on her face outside the posh Bravern building — at least a mile from where Lynch had checked into the Hilton Bellevue Hotel with the rest of his team, court records show.
Ficarelli had plowed through drinks at the Blue Martini, a bar inside the posh Bravern apartment complex, and was invited upstairs by one of the building's residents.

Security footage shows Ficarelli with this man, who wasn't identified. He told police that he repeatedly told Ficarelli he didn't play for the Seahawks, court records show.

The man says she had a 'major mood swing' when she arrived at his apartment and he asked her to leave several times.

Once outside, Ficarelli was 'swaying back and forth, had slurred speech and smelled like alcohol,' one security guard told cops.
The female then tipped over and fell onto her right side onto the paved walkway in front of one of the Bravern businesses,' court documents show.

The security guard 'observed the right side of the female's head hit the paved sidewalk.'

Detectives later confirmed that Lynch was in his hotel room about a mile away while Ficarelli was stumbling around the Bravern apartments.

The Bellevue Police Department has been under fire for releasing Lynch's name before their investigation was complete.

Seahawks fans have taken to Lynch's defense — and Ficarelli's boyfriend claims she had to move because of all the death threats she began receiving at her home.

'Did you take pictures of his head? Did you see the cameras at his house? No. They probably didn’t do that. I think this investigation is biased,' the man told KIRO-TV.

Bellevue prosecutors are yet to decide if Ficarelli will be charged. She faces up to a year in jail and a $5,000 fine if convicted of making a false or misleading statement to a public servant, which is a misdemeanor.

She deserves it. I hope she does the time. There are too many lizards using this false rape/false assault thing as a gravy train for having nothing going for them than a hole alongside their anus. They are fcuking up rich men's careers with lazy accusations that spit in the face of those with genuine cause (who were actually raped and/or beaten up unjustly).

Fuck the bitch. If she decides to make false claims she should go down just as hard as the offense she's reporting.

Just think about this gentleman. When women like her go to the polls to vote her vote counts just as much as yours and of course people of her ilk get these politicians who get elected who let women get away with this. Scary shit indeed.

99% of the people who made a fuss about this only gave a fuck because it involved an athlete on a team they worship. This can't be taken as an indication of any recognition of false female accusations.

I actually think the press loves stories like these because it gets both sides riled up, increasing attention/circulation/hits.

Even if it doesn't move the needle on the actual state of things, they can certainly charge advertisers more money.

Lock her ass up, and sue her for libel. And keep up the social pressure.

She's not going to do a year. That is the old reporter's hype trick of stating the max penalty for a crime a person is charged with.

Seeing women completely wasted in public is worthy of the few minutes it would take to shoot some discreet iphone video. It could come in handy.

This was no stunt - it was a crime.

Amen brotha. It's completely out of hand how women are now encouraged to claim false assault and/or rape charges. There has to be consequences for false accusations. These women should be in jail.

Exactly.

Even worse than that, most employers only scan for felonies for pre-employment background checks. The only misdemeanors depending upon the state, etc, that might be checked for will intoxicated/drunk driving ones. If most bothered to check for these kinds of misdemeanors, they would know she is a convicted liar.

This is what the NFL deserves for going down that road. Punishing players without court convictions and proof, with automatic suspensions invites extortion and lying, because there are no consequences for doing so. More baby mommas are going to extort players now.

Until filing a false report becomes a felony, women around the US will continue to do this, especially those with nothing to lose. If their spoiled brat home training has no consequences and daddy govt, insists on no consequences, they will not police their own selves and it will only get worse. Now women can call the NFL their new daddy. Only the blatantly lying ones like the one in the article will get ignored.

I wish at least a few players would grow some balls and sue the NFL for these policies. I'm not sure an employer can remove you from work, even with pay, over an accusation. Them not playing hurts their marketability to earn more money outside of playing as well as sponsorship opportunities, not to mention it hurts their numbers and records for getting onto another team.

Question for any RVF lawyers. Is it possible for NFL players to sue these kinds women for extortion? (like if they have baby mommas trying to lie to get them suspended)
