Actually, I believe that white birthrates are at or slightly above replacement levels among the poorer, less educated whites, primarily in the south. (IE: the "red states")

It's only among educated, primarily progressive "blue state" whites that the birth rates are slightly negative.

That's just scaremongering by the Daily Mail. Almost every Muslim boy has the name Mohammed (however it is spelled) as part of his name. Nearly all of these boys will have other names and will likely be referred to by the other name e.g. Mohamed Yusuf will be called Yusuf by his friends and family.

Marriage rates will go up again when men men have something to gain from marriage again.

Aside from prestige and social acceptance in some high powered circles, modern men have no advantages to gain from marriage. Sex? anyone with some decent game or bankroll can get that anytime. Company? well, have you spent time with any one woman, day and night, for more than a week? I would tear my eyes out if I had to go through that again. Children? Well, you dont need to be married for that. Respect and love from a woman? what a joke. Emotional support? please...

The above article is based on a faulty premise. It assumes women are voluntarily single but offers no proof how this conclusion was drawn. Since men have historically done the asking in marriage, the first question should have been "Are men still doing the asking?"

As far as I can see, the answer is "no." If women were staying single by choice but men were gunning to get married, we'd have seen memes or articles by now on the massive "rejection epidemic" where women are refusing rings. As far as I know, this ain't happening.

My own theory: I think the single biggest influence that turned an entire generation of men off marriage was the TV show "Everybody Loves Raymond."

Intentionally or not, it presented being a husband as such a thankless task, that I think this got into the psyches of guys who came of age when it was a hit. The unattractive wife didn't help, either. At least "Home Improvement" (its older brother in spirit) had a hot mom.

You would think that it's men who's turning away from the altar, but surprisingly more women then men are shunning marriage, relationships, and children.

It was in the Top Ten for its final six seasons. It was the biggest family sitcom of its era.

TV is way more influential than newspapers or magazines. Andy Warhol once said being on TV for ten minutes made him more famous than write-ups in even the most prestigious newspapers.

My guess is that a show with that tone being broadcast into so many homes had to have some influence. Just my feeling -- no proof to back it up. Most guys now probably wouldn't remember watching it as kids and being put off by the mom and the way she treated Ray, but it probably seeped into their heads.

I remember when that show used to air and my family used to watch it (I was a teenager during its run). That show was always so annoying and I am not sure why my parents liked it (my parents don't have that kind of dysfunctional "husband is the idiot" relationship either). It's more or less 'normal'. The show showed men as either idiots (Ray), dirty and emotionally distant (Frank, also the show's only real man), or plain weird (Robert). Sure Ray's wife was a housewife but almost every episode was about Ray messing up and then hiding it from Debra before she ultimately found out and fixed the problem. Even back then when I knew nothing about game or the 'red pill' I used to think why is he so scared of her for no reason? What's the big deal if he wants to watch the game or go play golf with his friends? I am sure though that the show is reflective of a lot of marriages where the wife has all the power and the husbands is literally scared of the wife.
