Can you elaborate a bit more on why? As far as Vox I take it you're referring to this list..

One can very easily read Roissy's material and come away with the conclusion that all women are hypergamous, cock carousel riding sluts. That's a very, very bad mindset to approach women with.

My theory is that he assumes (correctly) that his readers come from a background of being hardcore pedestalizing beta chumps, and writes in such an unrelenting manner to shock them into at least moving in the right direction, while his true beliefs aren't quite as extreme was what he writes.

I don't agree with everything written in that blog, particularly the white nationalist stuff, but overall nothing I've ever read has had a bigger impact on my life outlook. Even if his political views are a bit out there, the guy is beyond brilliant.

Yeah, he is brilliant. Was he the first to coin the phrases, the Wall and the cock carousel?

Don't debate me.

He also has many odes to Love and how one should never jade themselves out of partaking in one of life's pleasure -- the love of a good woman.

Whereas one would assume someone with such harsh views would also be shitting on love as "just oxytocin".

In the classic years there were periods where his writing was almost uplifting, causing commenters to speculate he was in a relationship!

I tend to see a lot of Roissy's argumentation as "women don't see how special how I am, so they're all hypergamous sluts who ride the cock carousel until they hit the wall." In my opinion, it's the male rationalization hamster, much like the female one.

Basically, I see it like this:

Women: "I want to have a child but not a marriage."
Result: has child, loses possible economic and employment benefits.
Her response: "My employer is clearly not a feminist; he discriminates against me for being a woman."

Man: "I want access to top-shelf women. I'm going to vastly improve my outer game."
Result: Has little success because of poor inner game/questionable beliefs. Doesn't realize importance of lifestyle changes (gym, clothing, etc.)
Response: "Well, they all must be hypergamous sluts."

Both of these ideas disgust me. They both abdicate personal responsibility. Men accept responsibility and change their situations. Losers don't.

"For you yourselves are aware that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night" (1 Thess. 5:2)

Great thread. Searching Roissy has been always difficult for me and I would give up. But thread makes Roissy understandable.

I just don't see Heartiste as that kind of an influence. His position is that all men should learn game, and that all men can benefit from it. He does call out hypergamous sluts, yes, but the entire point of the blog is to do exactly what you said in your last sentence. Men take responsibility for their lot in life and he helps provide the tools for men to understand the reality of the sexual market.

He's never said anything "elliot rogers-esque" where he is just bitching about the state of things and playing the victim. Except for maybe the political slant of the blog.

Have any of you tried a sexbot? Sounds like something out of Fallout: New Vegas. At some point, I may get sick of the shit tests and flakes and go out and buy a sex bot, but really I'd rather just go across the street to Whole Foods and day game more.

Dont read him much nowadays since he alienated a large part of his fanbase. But I am going to go through his earlier work during his golden era.

this is fucking great. thanks for your posting.

I agree that his posts lately have gone quite KKK-ish though... I think heartiste is not on the same level as roissy. As a minority I will stick to his game theories and keep fucking all the white woman. Big Grin

I think you'll need to wait a decade or several for those sexbots. I'll definitely need to try one, even if I'm getting laid three times a day. I wouldn't be a proper sci-fi fan if I didn't want to fuck a hot AI robot at least once.

I don't agree with the multiple author idea. My guess is that Roissy is just trying to muddy the waters and avoid being identified.
No fame for anonymous contributors, no share of earnings from clickbait; no reason for a collaboration to exist.

As for differences in writing style - he's very much a "speaker," not a compiler of lines.
When you begin an impromptu speech, it has an organic rise and fall. You already have a feeling how you're going to end it as you begin.
Those uplifting posts were usually semi-fictional and ended with a poignant one-liner. They're a genre.
A talented writer can do many genres.

He's one of the most powerful writers on game out there.

Been digging through the archives lately, finding some good gems:

"Many men are crippled by doubt. They have no understanding of the possible. To these men I say: Stop listening to the jealous naysayers, the bitter betas, the furious fembots, the condescending scolds, the cackling cunts, your Mom, your Dad, your drinking buddies, your aging ex, your fat girlfriend, your boss, society, the world. They don’t have your best interest at heart. They never did, and they never will. You have no idea just what you are capable of as a man. Game is that powerful."

RE: The Roissy Reader: Chateau Heartiste on Game
From "The Self Made Beta"

"Here is my call to arms. I believe it is every man’s duty to impolitely flirt and pass sexual judgement on each attractive woman who crosses his path. I believe it is every man’s right, no matter what his age, to refuse to apologize for his natural desires, to make no excuses for his deviant wants, and to grab any opportunity to hit on women in his field of view. I believe it is every man’s mission statement at birth to disturb a woman’s banal self-satisfied sanctuary — her cultivated immunity from unsettling intrusions of the psychologically erectile form— whenever she cavalierly insults his primal urges with naive overtures toward tepid, desexualized friendliness."

When I read stuff like that I think, "yes, but so what?..." It's not like girls are going to want to jump on your dick just because you stare them down.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

You're quibbling with small details, but collectively they make up the difference between getting laid and getting ignored.

You posted this thread about how your game isn't clicking. One big adjustment won't fix everything for you. It's a series of small changes that when combined make the difference.

Because in either game - life or football - the margin for error is so small. I mean, one half a step too late or too early and you don't quite make it. One half second too slow, too fast and you don't quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break of the game, every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when add up all those inches, that's gonna make the fucking difference between winning and losing!

So yeah, eye contact alone won't convert an indifferent prospect into a believer. But lack of strong eye contact might cost you a bang.

There's so little about the outcome of this game that you can control. The process itself, however, is completely up to you. Focus on improving your process and the outcomes will fall into place.

The type of article that speaks to his base, because it confirms their worldview by purposefully limiting the scope to things that they already believe.

This is one area where a red pill mouth breather should question the king based on his experience with actual women.

That time to boredom article is perfect example of some made up red pill speculation that says nothing at all and gives readers no practical advice whatsoever. I see no value in such articles

The only good thing about that dull Roissy "boredom" post was scrolling down and seeing a Basil Ransom comment from 2009.

I really miss that guy; one of the best in every way.

It's such a habit now -- just hoping to glean some good game insights.

But to be honest there's not much going on anymore if you are avoiding the negativity.

Part of the classic blog was that feeling of being in the inner-circle, the real-talk, gripping writing, turns of phrase, etc. It's hard to give that up, and it would mark a new era to go weeks without seeing what's new on that site.

Typing this out is making it pretty clear to me -- I probably should just stop visiting it.
