Wrong. Oneitis is a mental/emotional problem. I know guys with it that have very high notch counts. We discussed this last week in Archie's thread about Naturals. They catch it from time to time and turn into RnB singers over some bitch they think is a unicorn or turned them out really bad. You observed what was working after failure and that was highly insightful. I accepted without being skeptical that I could learn through knowing, so if I made a mistake, I needed to know more. At the time, I thought, "Hey, I'll ask my mom, she's a girl and this way I can know more" and that was a bad idea. Looking back, it was a mistake I made to assume the best way to learn is to just know and not observe, test and evaluate the results. Knowing is what comes after observing, testing, and evaluating the results.

Yes. White knights and simpletons like this are the biggest reason why the sexual market is so distorted in women's favor. Smartphones and social media add to the problem but this is the biggest reason.

Attention whoring is basically the reverse of game. Women are the sellers in that market, but it's a toxic asset that's dumped on the bigger fool before the asset price implodes. If there are no buyers this toxic asset would be regarded as the junk that it is.

If men would have just a little bit more self-respect, we might see some patterns starting to shift back toward normalcy.

Men are indoctrinated to be as romantic as that. I remember my teenage years and my early 20s - I was similar despite the angry Alpha troll lifting his passionate head even then.

Many, if not most guys are still drinking the Kool-Aid and hoping for the 1950s/60s fantasy-land hot housewife type. They think women are these "special" creatures that they just need to make happy. All the mainstream media messages re-inforce the lie that guys need to "man up" or whatever which tends to motivate certain types to pine for what they see as the wonders of marriage and/or to "do the right thing." Even despite all the facts re divorce rape and marriage failure rates.

This guy seems to be just out of college too so he might also be dealing with the crappy dating dynamics of being out of school and not having all that exposure to hot 18-22 year old coeds.

I'd also point out that if you come from any sort of decent family upbringing (admittedly more rare these days, but still fairly prevalent) you've going to have your mother telling you to respect and cherish women, be faithful, etc. When in reality most of these modern women are selfish, childish narcissists who don't deserve that type of respect.

Combine all the above and you can gather why the thirst is so bad and why guys do things like this. You're almost a sitting duck without game these days in the Anglosphere.

He's a typical American grown boy scout in terms of looks down to that cheesy grin. Typical of the middle to upper middle class fratboy. Looks like he's ready for 5th grade school pictures in that argyle sweatshirt (a lot of American women outside a few obvious cities actually do like when men dress like clowns so it may be to his advantage). That's because of sexual selection. Males in any species in the animal kingdom need to stand out because females are the ones that select. Males thus need to show off and be creative. It's probably why there are very few women Newtons (but also very few female omegas that live with their parents at 40).

That's why men have always had power and created all the great works of art and science.

Honestly, I don't see this as THAT bad.

The thing that jumps out to me is that he had decided he wanted to marry her some time ago, but not only gave himself a year to think it over, he reaffirmed his feelings every day for that entire year. Hell, I can't even bring myself to shower some days, let alone record some gay ass video.

The end product comes out a little sappy, but it's actually a very logical and rational move.

Also, regarding the difference in looks, the guy looks like he was in a frat in UVA, meaning there's a 95% chance he's run through his share of pussy. He probably just realized that the hotter the chick is, the higher maintenance she is, as most guys here have. And that's true outside of the West.

It's obviously not something I would do, but I think guys lose sight of the fact that a lot of the manosphere's (or neomasculinity, as per Roosh) core concepts are based on the same ideas that dictate that not everyone can be alpha. A healthy society requires betas.

If betas were the problem, the societies with the most beta men would have the most out of control women, which simply isn't the case. Guys talk a lot of shit about Japanese guys, but bitches ain't running wild over there for the most part.

The system, i.e., the media, laws, and (most importantly) government that created these men and enabled these women is the issue. It's not a coincidence that the most submissive women come from the most restrictive governments.

It is the leaders, the alphas, that keep society in check. Expecting the betas to do it is to deny basic human nature.
