It's exactly what I was wondering too. Why would DNC go to all this trouble in rigging an election to nominate HRC over Bernie Sanders? What was HRC's doctor thinking when she said "excellent health" even though there was obviously more to the story than in this letter?

RE: The Hillary Clinton thread
It would make a lot of sense to run a popular dying candidate to get the VP into office, but Hillary isn't an especially electable person. She just has name recognition and a vagina. Surely they could come up with a corporate shill that is actually electable and have a better chance at getting him in office than by going this convoluted way.

Edit - Well, I suppose it might just be Hillary being Hillary. Maybe she said "fuck you guys, I'm going to be the first woman president and if you try to stop me running I'll burn the whole show down" or whatever.

RE: The Hillary Clinton thread
This campaign is giving me legit chills with Hillary, all the people suicided, her obvious health issues being ignored. I watched the 'seizure' gif in full just now, as I thought it really was just some hyperbole, but there's no doubt, that is an involuntary neurological event. That's not something normal people do. Then the failure to climb stairs, her strange facial expression with the balloons. I've unfortunately suffered concussions and I do recognize how you can get a feeling of disorientation afterwards when things move around, maybe you watch the TV and if the camera angle is uneven you feel dizzy. I think it is seriously possible Hillary has brain damage, not likely some disease, but more like permanent brain impairment leaving her vulnerable to high stimuli.

And all this swept under the carpet by a totally coordinated media. It IS scary, lets admit it, seeing the worst conspiracy theories suddenly confirmed is disturbing, now consider if those pedophile murders in England by high ranking officials is also true, then we're really dealing with evil on a level none of us even can think of.

Bernie is an insider in the sense of being a New York tribesman, but he is not connected, not at all, he has low wealth, which is a clear indication he is not a real power player. The Clintons are real royalty, they have Saudi connections, all kind of connections, they're probably up quite high in the pyramid.

My guess is that Israelis and Sauds don't feel comfortable with Bernie and that's the main issue.

People are underestimating the stupidity of the American public.

Hillary is still very electable. Even with all her misdeeds the American public and the establishment knows how to glom onto that Clinton legacy.

The establishment doesn't know absolutely for sure Hillary will be unable to finish out a term. They probably suspect that might be the case and are just hedging their bets with Kaine.

There is no other Democrat candidate that checks all the right boxes for them. Hillary is candidate #1 because she's a proven commodity. Kaine is a totally uncharismatic company man who can be relied on to follow the program so he's a natural VP selection for her.

Bernie Sanders is in no way a proven commodity. He may be a scammy hunchbacked imp but he's not exactly proven to be a teamplayer with all his populist anti-establishment rhetoric. He might be a pussy but in office Sanders would still probably be too unpredictable in their eyes.

Sometime I wondered if these people are either genuine or fake HRC supporters at the rally. But we know there are genuine Trump supporters all over.

Eh...I'm starting not to care about HRC because I know this will all comes down to voter turnouts on Election Day in November.

One word comes to mind: landslide.

Not sure you understand the importance of his religion in this context. I will spell it out.

He is (and always has been) marketed politically as a Catholic. The democrats want to soak up some of the Catholic vote. That 'open marriage' tweet doesn't tally with the image a Catholic politician needs to project and certainly won't fly with the Catholic demographic. So it's more likely just some crappy photoshop.

I'm sure you are right, dear sir.

Is Catholicism important to other Democratic figures, like Nancy Pelosi? Is she "marketed politically" as a Catholic?

The context here was Tim Kaine, the 'open relationship' tweet allegedly sent from his own account and reasons it was likely to be fake. It's highly unlikely he'd want to intentionally damage his own image and career.

Why do you have "marketed politically" in inverted commas? And don't bring poor Nancy into this, they are not trying to sell her as VP pick.

RE: The Hillary Clinton thread
^The Catholic vote is something that really grinds my gears, Obama has won a majority of Catholics in both elections. Even if you don't count Mexicans, he still beat McCain amongst whites and Romney barely beat him amongst White Catholics. I just do not get this, they all claim to be Pro Life and Anti Gay Marriage but I guess that the sweet sweet entitlements handed out by Democrats override this.

I asked a Catholic guy I know who why Dogans all vote Obama and he had a real shitty answer, basically saying it is hard to switch to the GOP because JFK was a Catholic and they are loyal to the Dems because of him.

I can't think of a single Catholic country that has a good economy, including all of Latin America, Spain, Italy etc. Top it off with the SJW pope and I have no evidence that the Catholics will ever be a reliable voting bloc for those who want to save Western Society and instead will choose Socialism.

Anyone got any good reads on why Catholics are like this? Genuinely curious to understand this, I just cannot figure out why Catholics are so left wing. Is this a recent thing or has Catholicism been a hindrance on western civilization for centuries? I have never read Max Weber "The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism" maybe that is a good start.

It's my guess that they will do literally anything to avoid Hillary having to do the debates. Expect to see all sorts of crazy events in the run up. It could be a dangerous time for Trump.

The contradiction with Catholics is 100% due to their universalist framework, in spite of their professed social conservatism.

Simply, being virtuous is difficult and only specific groups, in any significant way, can keep it up across the group.

When your "socially conservative" religion insists on bringing into its fold anyone who merely nods their head that they will agree with it, and who agrees to have water splashed on their forehead, there is going to be widespread erosion of the religion in-practice.

Now complicate that situation with the children of those people who didn't even proactively agree to be a part of the religion and who share no connection, whatsoever, to the potentially more virtuous and successful sub-groups in the religion.

No group who does not put virtue as the highest priority is going to vote conservative for long. This is especially true for groups who have no issue having more children than they have appropriate resources for, and thus who have an interest in welfare.

My family is Catholic and rabidly Republican, for the pro-Life issue alone but also across most other issues. Though, we certainly have our outlying members who rebelled against the strict structure under the influence of the U.S. cultural revolutions. Drugs and alcohol always help that process along. No one in my family cares a lick about JFK. I have a feeling that he's more of an east Coast Irish cultural hero than anything else. So, yeah, if you talk to them then you might get more deference to JFK. Though, obviously, such a thing is political nonsense that underscores sociopolitical incompetence.

I think that they prefer compromised candidates that can be easily controlled, bought, told what to do, etc.

The infirmed, homosexuals, people with extremely shady pasts, anyone else they can hold a crime over, etc.

An elderly woman with PD who needs constant medicating, who is probably at least 1/3rd senile, and who is extremely ethically compromised would be about perfect.

As with Obama the card-carrying communist, I'm unsure as to why women would be dying to have her be their first representative in the Oval Office. In my mind, Black people should have demanded a non-progressive to show White America that Black leaders can be interchangeable with White leaders. Similarly, women should want a smart, physically strong, uncompromised woman as the first woman president. If I were a woman, I'd be shouting her down as much as possible.
