I was in Berkley this past Monday night and did see ton's girls out as the weather was nice and school was back. As been mentioned before definitely a hipster vibe to the city.

Any updates. I am here for a bit. Gio.. catch up?

I lived in SF for many years, had little luck until I started getting into BDSM. That opened the floodgates.

That being said, if you don't have a dominant personality it's not going to work.

RE: San Francisco, Bay Area Data Sheet
Cheers guys,

I’ll be in SF for 2 months in work (I work for a big antivirus company), coming from Prague (although originally I’m from South Europe). I’ve noticed must of the posts about clubbing are at least 3 years old. Is the scene still the same? Are there any news clubs that are worth checking?

Also I’ve read lots of posts about girls being kind of racist in SF. How do you think they would react towards south european type of guy? It will be my first time in US, so I also have no idea in gaming differences. I do pretty well here in Prague.

Also I’m coming now in July, how worst does it get comparing to the rest of the year where you have te city full of college honeys?

what are the best clubs in sf? Seems like everything is either SOMA or Mission. "best" is obviously a relative term.

SF is not really a "nightlife" city per se, but the neighborhood is hugely relevant to your success, as sub-genre's of people tend to stick together.

If you are a typical normal guy, with your lifestyle and shit together, you'll find the most available girls in the Marina. Check bars on Union st or Chestnut st, even Polk st - although Polk has been trending under-25 lately. Think post-college frat area.

If you are counter-culture, or a hipster/punk, etc, go out in the Mission. You can't miss at almost any bar around 16th and Valencia area.

If you just want to go out and get a bunch of approaches under your belt, Soma is fine, but keep in mind you'll have many more out of towners, suburbans, who've come as a group and are definitely driving/Ubering back home together. More sets, but fewer opportunities.

I went to some bars in and around Polk. Vertigo, Lush Lounge, Swig... Honestly, it was lame. I didn't even feel like hitting Mission or Soma. Maybe another time.

RE: San Francisco, Bay Area Data Sheet
San Francisco I think has gone downhill since the time the SF data-sheets were made on this forum. Few reasons :

(1) Gentrification has resulted in many of the lower income people in the city leaving to South/East bay, i.e. people not working in tech or finance or who have family subsidizing living costs. This, combined with the influx of tech companies, means that both the absolute number of people in tech has gone up and the proportion of people you see both during the day and at night in tech has increased. This in general means people with poorer social skills and worse looks.
(2) Costs are stratospheric. Massive rent prices and living costs have ensured that prices remain high at most bars and clubs, meaning you are going to need a big bankroll to have a good time at many places if you plan to drink, but because of (1) this is becoming less and less worth it as time goes on.
(3) Increase in political correctness/liberalism. SF has always been super liberal, but it is starting to get way out of control. You have to just avoid these topics completely.
(4) Obesity problems - More a problem in America/western countries in general, but it definitely is affecting SF in a negative way.

With all this being said, you can still have a good time for a few days. Bar hopping in Mission/Cow Hollow/around Polk/Marina can get you a ONS, but quality and attitude are definitely likely to be a problem. My advice is come here for a weekend, get lodging in the neighborhood that matches your vibe (Mission for the hipster types, Marina for rich boy prep types), go hard Friday and Saturday, then get out of here.

I am doing a Tuesday - Saturday mission for the Die Antword concert.

Probably stay with my buddy in the Mission, or this nympho in Corona.

I am still not sure if I hate SF or not.

RE: San Francisco, Bay Area Data Sheet
I'm in town, staying in the north oakland / berkeley area for several weeks, anyone around, and any places to hit up?

Getting refreshed after getting out of a long relationship. Not going too badly, but the area is unfamiliar enough that I'm just guessing on most places to go for either daygame or nightgame.

PM if interested in chatting at all / hitting up any places.

My friend here also says he thinks tourist game would be best / easiest - my gut says that the quality of the tourists here, especially this time of year, means I'd be filtering through a lot of crud to find anything decent, and of those that might be decent, many of them are here with a guy, and of those that are not, they'll be with girlfriends and difficult to isolate. My gut says playing tourist game w/ the locals is a better bet overall. Any opinions?

Blogger agrees with you:

Quote: I moved to California after I graduated from college. Returning to California was very triggering and disturbing and shows how far American culture has fallen and where the rest of America is headed ... One of the big things that really jumps out is the girls look awful. It seems like almost every girl is overweight with blue hair and lots of strange body piercings. It is a never ending race to the bottom with female beauty. Even girls who manage to stay thin still actively work to be unattractive. You see that every not fat girl still gets an unfeminine haircut. Every girl has some sort of strange body piercing. The worst piercing is the mouth piercing. It seems that every girl there has it, even corporate monkey professional girls. It’s tragic to see how girls are uniformly acting to make themselves look ugly. The irony is that when America was great people got Purple Hearts for getting metal in their mouths. Now they do it “to be themselves.”

RE: San Francisco, Bay Area Data Sheet
Hello there,

I hope to inject some new life into this thread.

I am looking for for cool bars with approachable women, somehow reachable by Uber from Union Square. Myself I am white, fit, 40 and looking younger, will be only in S.F for a few days.

Are the places mentioned on 2011 still the ones to go? I really appreciate any update on this. Also I read the whole thread and understand that the city has changed, anyway I am here and will make have to make the best out of it. Actually there is an IT event with draws 40000 nerds this is why I try to escape from the obvious places.

Of course I am happy to report back and share my experience so everyone can benefit.

thanx guys!

RE: San Francisco, Bay Area Data Sheet
This city is brutal. It is impossible, at the moment, not to be dragged forcibly into declaring your undying hatred for Trump.

I am here visiting a very good friend, and I watched him weave his Austrian magic in navigating staying neutral. It was amazing to watch, but when his job is likely on the line, it gives him extra incentive.

I just said fuck it one point, and had my Swedish buddy almost in hysterics at the bar. He was literally throwing a tantrum in public. I had to stop him, look deeply into his eyes, and repeat multiple times, that its OK, its OK, its OK.....

I look around here, and its an absolute wasteland of liberal come-uppance. Its nearly impossible to predict what it will look like in 1 year, 5 years or 10. The Mission where I am staying, the only normal people here are Mexican and Cuban. The rest are stuck in a self flagellation race to the bottom. Under skin implants, which I had only seen on a rare occasion last year when I was here, are almost common. Literally, men and women, with steel structure under their skin in the shape of horns and patterns.

I am a big supporter of free speech, so this is often the argument I try to steer conversation to, away from Trump is Hitler. The only ray of hope from last night, is when I had 3 seconds without liberal howls, to say "I don't agree with what you guys are saying, but I will fight to the end to make sure that you have the right to say it". This was met with looks of bewilderment. But I did notice some bright eyes of recognition.

Through all of this, I saw only 3-4 women who I would have banged, and only one who I wanted to bang.

Don't Bang the Mission

Laner trolls Bagdad by the Bay.

Go over to Guerrero St., find a dyke bar, and get their trigger on.

I like visiting SF, but of course I usually come with a girl. The scenery is beautiful, and so are many parts of the city. It has many funky places to go out in. Although I will say the Tenderloin is kind of sketchy. Food scene here is great.

I never hear too much about the FOB Asian girl market (not American born). What's it like?

Laner do you have the hots for Yolandi like I do? Girl is whack but something about her. Big Grin

I hit on a couple FOB's today, only decent looking chicks I saw. One was Korean with lit up eyes but I was blocked by a 50's white dude in a backpack and beach hat who said "excuse me, but please don't bother my group". He was leading a language class tour of the Mission, and showing them a "real Mexican taco place".

Had the phone out ready to take the digs too. Shame, she was a lofty Asian which I like.

Yolandi is fucked. I saw them years ago at a small venue and I can't quite tell if she is a WB or not. Freaky little pixie though for sure.

Of course he did. This town....

The Die Antwoord concert was off the charts. Great fucking night, SF really us the perfect city to see them. Met so many freaky burners there, fun people!

Seattle and SF are hard to compare. Seattle is more 'normal' where as SF tries really hard, and is successful at, being 'different'.

Both are good for making money, SF beats Seattle for weather, both sit in beauty, Seattle has better looking women, but SF has attractive women if you are into very odd looking women. LOTS of body modification here.

I was out with Swedish girls last night, who were by far the hottest women of the night. And they are very average for Swedish women. But they are also very normal in their appearance; no tattoos, no coloured hair, long hair, no facial piercings, nice attractive and flattering clothes.

Why were you there??? (I know it borders the shopping district but it still should be avoided or only passed through in a car)

Just curious.. ?

Was there a certain restaurant or show that you were attending?

Very curious..

I know, you have warned me many times! I only stay in the mission because my friend has a nice place there. We spend most of our time in Embarcadero or South Park as thats where his studio is.

Personally I like Marina, but its hard to get to logistics wise.

Haven't been to SF in a while. What are some good areas, and not just like the upper end Marina. College bars and coffee spots?

Last time I was there there was some good bars on Polk like Shanghai Kelly's. Good local bars and hipster coffee shops in the Haight and the Inner Sunset. I also remember some epic times at the Holding Company bar in the Embarcadero.

What about the Fillmore/Lower Haight?

Fillmore/Lower Haight is pretty suspect unless you are going for food.
-I really like the paella @ Fresca. They have a good lomo saltado as well. Sundays is bottomless mimosas. Dosa has good samosas. J-town near the Kabuki theater has good food. I step into a bunch of the ramen spots there. Theres also this delicious hole in the wall korean place in the safe-way plaza called arang BBQ. Delicious. Lots of young students go there.

Only bar that is decent in the Fillmore area is on Divisadero (think near California street) . I believe its called Lion Bar. Similar crowd to the marina folks (lower/upper-pac heights). I hate the layout though but its easy enough to post up @ the bar, but the table setup in the back is weird.

Polk is pretty meh. Only spot I like was that oyster bar that turns into a mini bar/dance-floor. Forgot the name. Pull girls from the periphery when they walk to the bathroom. Hemlock lets you smoke Js in the inner door/outdoor smoking area. Pretty cool.

I really like the clubs that cater to the bridge and tunnel (mostly fob asians) folk near union square OR champagne bars. Temple, Ruby Skye, Slide fall into the former category.

It really is hit or miss because the town is so small that people hop around a lot.

Bootie SF @ DNA Lounge is also pretty dope (mash-up hip-hop/house) that caters to the younger college crowd. Some young hipsters come here as well. They are very free. Wink

The techie crowd is very insular so if you see a techie crowd leave venue immediately. Also avoid the hordes of weird hipster bars near the Mission (hahaha, im still laughing laner).

Castro(gay area) on monday nights @ Q-bar has 1 dollar beers, 2 dollar wells. All the gays and young ladies come out. Its an interesting experience.

WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude
