Came up with/heard a burning game theory? Say it here!
Hey! Forgive me if this is the wrong section, I only registered last night. Feel free to move or lock or whatever else Smile

Over the years I've heard a lot of men come up with a lot of very interesting theories on the relationship between men and women and their general connecting bridge of 'game'.

So many theories have been thrown around in front of me (with varying degrees of nuttiness) over my ~5 years of heavy red pill interest that I couldn't help but grow a soft spot for them.

I'll start off the topic with some of my favorites, please feel free to weigh in and don't forget to share your own:

It is possible for a woman to have an absolute 0 for sexual interest in a man, but impossible for a man to have that same absolute 0 sexual interest in a woman. Women can be 'friends' with men but men are incapable of *fully* reciprocating this platonic friendship because of how easily we can detach our emotions from sex, and how fast we can go from 0-100 in horniness. Given the correct situation and context, a normal man could end up fucking a (previously acquainted) grotesque beast, whereas that grotesque beast may be in the same situation and context but have no interest whatsoever in said normal man.

Women have many, many variables to their logic. It is possible to be blown off by a woman for months and months and then one day have her call you up for a spontaneous date that ends in fiery sex on your bathroom floor. Women are a lot like the smartphones they love so damn much. You will never need to take them apart and examine their circuits to be successful with them. All you can be held responsible for are your own actions, and sometimes it is better to understand less.

PUA books from the "PUA movement" are all big fucking lies. They came up with douchey acronyms and slang in order to make the pussy starved nerds who bought into the "movement" feel like they're in some way bigger than other people by providing them a false vantage point to look and act from. What they tried to do was ascribe a logical thought pattern (that men are comfortable with) onto an interactive process (which men are NOT comfortable with) so that men could lull themselves into a sense of security in possessing this 'secret underground societal knowledge'. The problem is that this fake sense of security inspired more and more inaction (not to mention painfully awkward social situations) because a man who thinks he knows everything will never be inspired to act and learn for himself. Hence the massive amount of guys who can chat theory for hours and hours but still cannot bring themselves to get so much as a phone number in the real world. Too much information coupled with too little action is toxic to the mind.

Essentially, all the PUA movement did was try to capitalize on men loving theory and hating practice. Encouraging men to attempt to deal with previously researched problems rather than genuine, real life situations.

You can have a whole essay written out in your head, but when you try to put the words on paper it becomes more difficult. That's because information (read: theory) can float freely in neural space, but when it comes time to make order and sense of it, it's suddenly much more difficult.

Problems are creations of the mind and cannot be real without us lending our mental energy to them. Even though you have 5 solid theories on how to thwart competition in the field, when it comes down to it you'll probably just be paralyzed by the massive influx of information as soon as you actually have to deal with another guy in your territory. Too much is worse than too little.

There's some hambeasts I'll say I have zero interest in.

And on that note, there's plenty of girls I have slight interest in, who, in time, would be willing to fuck me; however, they're still not worth the time it'd take to fuck them.

That's quite a sweeping generalisation and not completely true. Yes, a lot of the earlier PUAs spout some nonsense such as NLP, peacocking and scripted routines etc. But there is also a lot of very valuable wheat among the chaff. I'm not at all a fan of "negging", seems unnatural to me and not helpful. On the other hand David D's " cocky and funny " humour does work. Roosh's "Bang" is full of refreshingly down to earth good advice. Roosh being a former scientist, like myself means that his style and the culture of this forum resonates with my viewpoints and experience. Game really does work! You have to take a lot of it with a pinch of salt and apply what game works for you. I would say though that this thread borders on "game denial ism" and might end up getting a line through your name soon.

Mystery Method was revolutionary and still is the backbone of virtually any practice of picking up chicks. Most PUA shit was garbage but go read the original and you'll understand.

It's very rare for me to read anything on this forum that doesn't have a basis in the Mystery Method and Mystery's teachings.

Guys will make "fuzzy hat" jokes, but then turn around and make game pronouncements seconds later that Mystery beat them to the punch on over a decade and a half earlier.

I've seen a trend where people are very quick to laugh at PUA culture with realizing that they are part of a community that pretty much preaches the same stuff with an emphasis on lifestyle.

The problem with the PUA movement was not Mystery -- mental illness aside, his teaching was solid -- but rather the host of imitators that he spawned.

Worse yet, there was a very quick trend that occurred, where guys who earned quick success with women by using game techniques, attempting to use similar marketing techniques to sell men hugely overpriced DVD sets that were in a word, overhyped.

I'm tapped into existing PUA communities here in Asia and there are guys who are still relying on older PUA technique with significant success. These playas are only vaguely aware of who Roosh and this community is, but they are living a lifestyle that a perfect fit with what the forum here espouses.

Of course, I've also met the Asperger's types among the game community, but they simply don't get the results that the well adjusted guys get.

Long story short, there is no substitute for Mystery's "Attraction, Comfort, Seduction" model. Nothing has helped my game more than recognizing that this is the standard process of practically every lay. If you're getting laid, this is the model you are following whether you recognize it or not.

The PUA industry got out of control when a bunch of guys recognized a gullible, desperate market of men who would do anything to get laid, but the fundamental teachings of some of the greats, particularly Mystery, were and are central to game.

I'll agree that these are sound principles to follow but reading the Mystery method and The Game and The Rules of the Game, what also didn't sit well with me as well as "negging" and fuzzy hats were the magic tricks (gimmicky) and I did not want to follow the overly complex technical style of "the mystery method" complete with diagrams. I personally prefer a more practical down to earth approach.

Plus, many of these gimmicks, canned lines and routines are well known by women these days. They will get you pegged as a "player". I prefer "stealth game" keep it under the radar.

I seriously doubt this is true.
This is one of the biggest smears against the Mystery Method.

Mystery was a professional magician. It's only natural that he'd use aspects of that in the field. That was his personal schtick. Show me the part of the Mystery Method were it says "wear a fuzzy hat."

We've talked about being congruent here in the forum. For Mystery, outlandish clothes was congruent. For other people, a different approach obviously would be used. The fuzzy hat that he'd occasional wear has literally nothing to do with the Mystery Method.

Negging is apparently a highly misunderstood technique. In a world where men over-compliment women, it doesn't hurt to show a woman that you're not super-impressed with her just because she's hot. It's called being the prize.

Negging is an intentional response to this issue and it's a single technique that is applied to certain high value women. You don't neg a six. As an isolated technique, you can run seduction with or without it. It's just one technique, among many, that you can have in your toolbox.

If you think that negging is a mandatory part of the Mystery Method, then you don't understand what the Mystery Method is.

Quote:...and I did not want to follow the overly complex technical style of "the mystery method" complete with diagrams.

There's many different learning styles. Some people benefit from diagrams. If you don't want to look at diagrams, don't. Your opinion of diagrams has no bearing on the effectiveness of the Mystery Method.

Quote:I personally prefer a more practical down to earth approach.

Your practical, down to earth approach exists in the same world that the Mystery Method exists in. The Mystery Method was ground breaking and continues to be a highly recommendable resource, because it will explain how a seduction goes down and what stages one must go through to conquer a woman.

What down to earth approach are you recommending and how does your use of that technique alter that world of reality that the Mystery Method very helpful describes?

The Mystery Method is very simple. To seduce a woman, you must initially attract the woman. If she isn't interested in your initially or at least doesn't immediately eliminate you from her reproductive pool, you've got your foot in the door. Having put your foot in the door (generally mainly a matter of appearance or with online dating, your word choice and timing), you move on to step two, comfort.

You simply cannot rush into seducing a woman. A level of comfort needs to be built so that the woman doesn't feel like a whore.

Once you've establish comfort, so that she feels like the two of you have a special connection and she won't feel like a slut for having sex with you, you can move onto actually seducing her. Your kino changes from comfort touch, to sexual touch and you go for the panties.

Which part of that is not down to earth?

More importantly, when you get your bangs, how does your approach differ from that?

Are you skipping one of these steps? Are you not going through any of these steps? Are you approaching these steps in a different order? Do you believe that these steps don't exist or do you feel that you get laid more by ignoring their potential existence?

Quote:Plus, many of these gimmicks, canned lines and routines are well known by women these days. They will get you pegged as a "player". I prefer "stealth game" keep it under the radar.

The gimmicks were created to allow newbies taking boot camps or getting advice online, to have a starting point. Just to get their feet wet.

If you actually look at what Mystery was teaching, yes canned lines were taught, but only because he was working with guys who had no ability to create interesting conversation on their own. I can't imagine that Mystery would have had any problem with guys creating their own openers (or doing without), provided that they were using stuff that actually worked.

I'm not going to wear a goddamn-fuzzy hat, but throwing on some well fitting red pants when in college definitely got me some positive attention at parties.

"Dude in the sombrero" also worked as well
