RE: Why are people on this forum so anti-Bernie Sanders?
If I had to choose right now I would rather have Trump. I think he scares the shit out of everyone because he is unpredictable. He is smart and calculating. But he "appears" to owe no one anything. Clinton is too afraid to make a mistake, but that is part of life.

Bernie's college plan proves he is off his rocker. Giving free things to immature teenagers is plan for disaster and creating even worse issues. Things that build character and worth the effort require hard work, not handouts.

Fate whispers to the warrior, "You cannot withstand the storm." And the warrior whispers back, "I am the storm."

RE: Why are people on this forum so anti-Bernie Sanders?
Paraphrasing here, but he basically says "we have so much wealth, so lets just tap into that and give people stuff for free", or something.

It's clear that he isn't that good with economics, or history.

I was going to go for a more snarky comment but I think the time for snark is over.

Wallstreet, to him, is the new kulak class.

When those people split, and don't make it rain like he expects, because wallstreet or the rich people are just going to sit and take it, they're going to come after the next richest class.

And when that class runs out of money, they'll go on down. Just like how they started taking the large landowners in Ukraine, then the people who owned a disproportionate amount of livestock, and then people who had any real wealth at all. Until you end up with families cannibalizing themselves.

That's all this is. The government cannot create wealth. All it does is cannibalize future growth, until that timeline on that future becomes tomorrow.

I don't think he'll get elected, but I will watch the pulse of everything if he does. The unfortunate part is all of the other millenials that don't understand economics, don't understand history, and don't find a sense in irony of what lead to the U.S. Revolutionary War and Declaration of Independence, and what this man proposes.

This man is cancer.

This guy looks like he's on the verge of incontinence. I can see it now, in the middle of a summit with Putin and Bernie has to leave the room cause he's just crapped and pissed himself.

Then you have Hillary who already wears depends under those pant suits.

It's weird to think Sanders is only five years older than Trump. The guy looks like he's an octogenarian.

I didn't know who Sanders was until a few months ago and didn't realize how much of an unaccomplished loser the guy is, literally a welfare bum who never held a steady job until he was 40! I learned that from this article: Bernie Sanders, The Bum Who Wants Your Money.

RE: Why are people on this forum so anti-Bernie Sanders?
I don't like Bernie for a multitude of reasons:

1. Dude doesn't understand economics. He'll run out of other people's money.
2. Weak willed and willing to let SJW walk over him
3. Espouses the same SJW point as I mentioned above.
4. Popular with the college aged crowd and of course their professors
5. Most of the people who marginalized me in high school and college support him
6. Those same people mentioned in point 5 happen to also be under/unemployed hence why they want free shit.

I frankly have had it with liberals, the free shit parade, and this SJW crusade BS. I'm tired of free loan money for useless degrees. I want to see the people who gave me so much shit during my schooling eaten alive by economic conditions.

Lets just say I have a lot of pent up anger I need dissipated and want to see all these free money programs fall apart. I've worked too hard to watch my wealth taken by gimmegrants and my lazy millennial peers.

Holy shit!

No wonder so many losers love him. Been a parasite his whole damn life.

Not that this is a distinguishing feature among career politicians, but I'm shocked. Tried to verify, found similar stories.

Here I've been working real jobs before college and haven't been unemployed since college, making things work, fixing things, and this piece of shit wants to command my money around.

RE: Why are people on this forum so anti-Bernie Sanders?
One thing that I've noticed is a lot people saying things along the lines of "I don't agree with Bernie, but at least he has principles".

Yet every time I hear him speak he's calling Trump a racist or otherwise taking pot shots at Republicans, defending Hillary for her lawless behavior, or pandering to some interest group or another.

That video a few posts above is a good example. He's asked how he'll pay for his programs, and one of the first things about of his mouth is "well, Republicans blah blah".

On the other hand, Trump goes after everybody. He went after Bush, he goes after Obama, he talks about Hillary, he talks about Cruz, he trashes liberal media, he trashes conservative media.

A lot of the time, when talking about our current problems, he simply says we have weak "leaders", without differentiating between one party or the other. He doesn't try to blame everything on Democrats and absolve Republicans, because he knows they're both part of the "establishment".

I fail to see how Bernie is such a righteous, anti-establishment figure when he won't even admit the person he's running against broke the law simply because she's from the same party, yet still claims Trump said all Mexicans are rapists when this is completely false. He'll lose to Hillary before he criticizes her for anything, when she's part of the very establishment he's supposedly so vehemently against.

Bernie Sanders makes me laugh. If you've ever spent time around NY liberals you'd understand where he's coming from.

He's absolutely a typical degenerate NY limousine liberal who talks up all kinds of unrealistic idealistic bullshit but doesn't actually do anything.

They also tend to develop a sense of what's right for them and what's right for you which can be very different things based on their current wealth status.

And if you don't agree with what they think is right for you, they'll use the government to force you to accept it.

That's why the conservative ideas of smaller government are so offensive - without the government, they lose the power to enforce their dumb ideas.

It's incredibly easy to see that this guy is horrible with money. He's been making 150k+ a year for how many years, and still has a net worth under a million.

He's pathetic, and reminds me of a child that starts crying because one of the other kids didn't want to share their toy with him and everyone else.

Fuck this guy, his policies are even worse than Clinton's.

Political parties aside, becoming a US Senator is no small accomplishment. Many important men throughout history became successful later in life. Look at Harry Truman's life for example. He failed at several businesses before becoming an important political figure.

It is also easy to look back at a certain time period, and consider the prospect for success much easier than our current time. How many times have we seen the laments of this Forum, "If only I was in in Eastern Europe in the 1990s, I would have killed it."

RE: Why are people on this forum so anti-Bernie Sanders?
I'm not even American and know little of his policies, however...

1. He's a grown man with socialist views. Anyone over the age of 25 who is a socialist is an idiot who has not experienced life, or at least not learned from it, and knows nothing about human nature. Rather important in running a country.
2. On an instinctive level I can sense the weakness. It's the body language, the way he holds himself...it just arouses something primal in me that makes me want to destroy him and remove him from the tribe. The way he stood head bowed, hands crossed over his balls when those BLM loudmouths bullied him off stage in Seattle was shameful. This man aspires to be beta.
3. He's not just wanting to be President of the USA, he's wanting to be leader of the Western world...as a Westerner I am very interested in who that is going to be. It'll be Hellary though, because as a nation not enough of you have balls to vote for an alpha like Trump. Our Maggie Thatcher had balls of her own...Hillary has balls too: yours.

Even though he has little chance of getting his policies enacted, I think he focuses on a lot of the right issues and is probably the most authentic person running for president.

RE: Why are people on this forum so anti-Bernie Sanders?
I have purely pragmatic reasons that I would vote for Bernie over some other candidates on both sides, though my first choice is Trump. Bernie's foreign policy is closer to Trump's than pretty much anyone else (he doesn't want WWIII). He is going to leave the guns alone (unlike Hilary, Christie, and more). He's not in favor of incarcerating non-violent drug offenders- especially cannabis.

He may be better than Trump in one area- the police state. The one Trump quote that actually bothers me is when he said (more or less) "to me, freedom IS security." I'm not sure what to make of this. Is this sinister and Orwellian double think? I can understand from a Hobbs philosophical view how man in the "state of nature" is not free at all. We do need law and order, at some basic level, to be "free" in the legal and Constitutional sense. But I don't want to have to do too many mental gymnastics to accept that quote. I don't support a police state, yet I also see how we need massive surveillance when we are infiltrated with countless potential cells.

Bernie seems less in-favor of the police/surveillance state but exacerbates the need for it with his immigration stance. Trump is the reverse.

Bullshit.

Quote:Sanders added that there is "widespread support to ban semi-automatic assault weapons, guns which have no other purpose but to kill people."

Sanders supported such a ban along with universal background checks — another measure he called for on Saturday — in 2013, after the massacre at Connecticut's Sandy Hook Elementary School. But the self-described socialist has also voted to allow guns in national parks, to shield firearms manufacturers from liability for shootings and against a five-day waiting period for gun purchases. Many expect him to come under criticism for his record at the first debate on Tuesday.

He's going to let the winds decide, and probably voted for those other things for political BS like riders on the bill or something else. He cannot be trusted to uphold gun rights.

So what. The second amendment mentions the militia, the purpose of which is to defend against or shoot bad guys, not go duck hunting.

I'll just say I support Bernie's attempt to legalize pot.

I'm not a pot smoker but fact is it's a recreational substance not any worse than alcohol; and the illegalization of pot was done in the early 1900s by the Rockefeller company simply to gain a monopoly over the drug market and demonize 'natural' remedies (ex. they were behind absurd anti-pot films like Refer Madness).

Legalizing it and taxing/regulating it like alcohol would be huge improvement over what we have now; incarcerating people on taxpayer dime and making it tougher for them to re enter the workforce due to a little pot is harming the economy much more than helping it.

Yup, that was the entire point. People bring hunting into the issue to distract from that point. The founding fathers were afraid of the peoples of the U.S. becoming defenseless cucks against the whims of the ruling party.

The U.S. attitude has certainly weakened, but for a long time politicians have had the fear (as they should) of pushing too far. If you remove that fear (good luck, though, with all the gun owners), we become a balkanized Germany, wide open by Merkelites.
