Fuck, we shouldn't have banned him. He's like a hydra. You cut off 1 account and 3 more accounts grow back for you to do combat with. We're fucked.

I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.

I wouldn't say it was completely useless. It has provided all of us with a great deal of comedy. For the same reason, I'm really glad the throwing shit on girl guy was never banned.

There's other ways to ban him more completely, you just gotta dig a little deeper.

RE: Low post and zero rep newbies: Read this
Flipside...

I've been writing about the red pill and "feminism" as it pertains to free speech under my real name for awhile. Recently some people have decided that third wave feminism is a now religion and therefore beyond criticism or questioning, and those who do so are purveyors of "hate speech." It's become increasingly difficult for people like me to continue speaking out, no matter how restrained, without it having a very real impact on business. I've had several professional colleagues unfriend me on Facebook over the most seemingly innocuous posts that hint on challenging third wave feminism. I wish this wasn't the case, but it is. For the SJWs, this is a very personal, emotional issue. Every time I have hinted at questioning third wave feminism in public, it's resulted in personal and professional consequences, and often from unlikely sources.

Recently, I adopted a pseudonym to avoid real life problems. I started posting on here, ROK, and Danger & Play because I have things to say that I can't express under my real name, or even in public.

Do I have a high reputation and high post count? Nope. I started this account a few weeks ago instead of just posting under my real name, which is what I've done in the past. My identity isn't the best kept secret, but I don't want it associated with Google. And I want to speak my beliefs, which extreme SJWs now characterize as "extreme hate speech."

I get where you're coming from. SJWs are going to try and penetrate the RVF. But at the same time, writing off every "n00b" with a strong opinion is counterproductive. We're not all actually "n00bs", and the focus should be on the quality of the poster's content.

Further, I hope that more are gaining the courage to speak out, even if it's anonymously. Despite having a prominent blog (not focused on masculinity or game), I've lurked for years in the forums. But it's gotten to the point where I feel the need to speak out, strongly, but using my real name would hurt my business.

Put differently, I've started to actually give a shit about the deeper issues instead of just viewing "pickup artistry" as a means to an end for improving my sex life. I actually care more about the deeper issues now, and view game simply as a necessary evil.

The good news is that I think we are starting to make progress. Frankly, I think we're a silent majority now starting to get a voice because of places like this.

The forum boosts your character. I think that the moderators are right in demanding discipline from us. Its up to us to make relevant and good contributions. This also weeds out a lot of trolls or spammers.

Been lurking this forum for probably at least 2 years... found the Tuthmosis recipe to be very helpful when I got my own place for the first time, and have been finding tons of valuable information on here since. In a way this place is almost like a university for men, but without the rip-off tuition fees and nearly useless end product. This is the kind of place that helps everybody move forward... much respect.

The number one rule for new posters should be:

If you have ask if the post is a bannable offense, then it likely is. Do not post.

Can you point out some instances where high-value newbies have been "written off" for no other reason than their newbie status?

No one is asking you to post under your real name. We strong advise against it. However, even if you did, I wouldn't change a whole lot. This is a forum about game, travel, women and self-improvement.

If you've blogged prominently about how to cook a mean steak and put up a datasheet, you'd obviously be considered a more trustworthy source due to your blogging reputation and could get away with some controversial remarks about how often to flip the steak while grilling.

However, generally accomplishments in other areas won't influence your reputation here (besides the standard respect given for hard work and a proven desire to succeed), simply because your "status" at the forum only really will come into question if you post something controversial or suspicious. Over the years, we've had guys make shocking claims about topics of conversation and sometimes it has turned out that their claims were in fact completely made up.

When it comes to the topic of game, for example, any guy espousing a gaming system that sounds unrealistic is going to be viewed suspicious, and possibly banned, if his claims are outrageous enough.

However, if the same claims and game suggestions were made by a forum member who has met other members and his proposed techniques have been witnessed in action by other credible members, then that is a very different story. There are cases where that has occurred here and also where the opposite has occurred.

All we are asking of new members is that they take the time to build a reputation here. We simply cannot take your word for it that you are a prominent blogger and a cool guy, especially if your blogging activities have nothing to do with what this forum focuses on.

I personally held back from posting too many game suggestions myself until I'd been repped by some guys who had seem me in action and could speak to my abilities and even now, I'm not trying to school other guys on how to be more alpha with Chinese women.

We're a community of men who have joined the forum to give back. Look for opportunities to contribute value. Drop some valuable datasheets. Meet some forum members. Do that and you won't have to worry about being a noob.

I actually don't disagree with much of what you're saying.

My own blogging has to do with the law and free speech, which obviously has a lot to do with this forum and masculinity issues in general.

On a personal level, I got divorced a few years ago after being married for 12 years. When I first got back into the dating scene, I was extremely confused. Ask most for advice on women and the response is "be nice, buy her flowers, take her out a lot, and listen to all her stupid bullshit at the drop of a dime." Yet at the same time, Dave the guy with all the tattoos is getting laid on a regular basis by the girl I thought was a special princess, even though he can't bother to return her text messages. That lead me to this place. At first it was a means to an end to get laid more, and hopefully find a girlfriend / future wife. Now it has a much broader and important implication.

A few years into it and enough poosies plundered, I'm not all that interested in game or wasting too much time on women. They're generally vapid, insecure, and boring. I know enough game to keep my balls empty, and it's had an extremely positive impact on my life. Sex used to be a giant mystery, and frustration. Now it's not.

What interests me much more are the broader social implications that are starting to be addressed. The feminization of men and the masculinization of women. The notion that third wave feminism is akin to a religion and beyond questioning or criticism. Re-examination of traditional gender roles. Due process, even when such a fundamental constitutional right happens to be unpopular on college campuses. The notion that some people now think that "free speech" means a right not to hear certain things, rather than a legal right to say things people don't want to hear.

The masculinity discussion started as a way of understanding female attraction, but in the process it started a dialogue about critically important social issues that have gone unaddressed for far too long.

Some excellent advice in this thread for guys like me(low post count). A lot of times my thoughts have been already been captured brilliantly by the time I get to a thread, so there is no need to post. Just to be seen. I can just sit back and enjoy the great minds who share my opinions.

Also, I'm old/mature enough to not care about posts or reputation. A younger me would have definitely gotten banned.

Good advice from the senior members.

The short version as to why I signed up here, is because Roosh recommended it to the twitter viewers, and I never got a reservation.

.
.
.

I'm one of those who are suspect because I made my account today. Here's my excuse.

I usually lurk on Return of Kings. A few days before Roosh went to Montreal I started reading ROK again, and noticed he was coming to town. The material I read over there is so good, I decided that I wanted to attend the Toronto speech.

So I Googled Roosh V to see whats being said about his tour, and I saw the racket that was being made about him in Canada. In short. It was so fun and interesting, plus I was under the impression he'd announce where he'll go, since his conference room was booked at that Hotel that ended out letting him go.

In short again, yesterday I went searching for where his Toronto venue will be, so I looked at the program schedule again, then decided to book. I booked again today after no response. Roosh can dox me if he wanted to, but contact information really isn't enough to make me trustworthy.

I don't blame Roosh for not adding me to the guest list. It was the aggressors who prevented me from getting to meet Roosh and get the awesome USB card.

With nothing to do, I signed up here today cause Roosh refereed this forum on Twitter. Other than that I never lurked here that much, as I always went to ROK. I lurk there, and I never used Twitter in my life, and I still don't have an account. It's just Roosh's feed was so interesting. It's a real live Matrix, where the wool is fabricated from people accepting what they hear about the guy from the bully playing accuser and victim.

I've been on here longer than a good portion of the highly repped members. I made my account back in 2010. I would consider my activity lurking from then until probably 2014. Before I posted I would ask myself, "will this add value to the guys who have been here for a while?" The answer was usually a resounding "no" and I would delete it.

Newbies, know your place before stepping up to the plate. Lurk for a while to get the culture and then lurk some more before posting.

Another mistake newbies make are to come in and have 6 of their first 11 posts be new threads about their desperate personal problems, their "views" on pedestrian matters, or their convoluted mental-masturbatory theories. Don't use the forum as your personal journal or blog. Don't start entire threads to ask simple factual information you could find with a tiny bit of effort, or to tell us about a "great game book" you discovered that's a decade old. Look around (use the search feature). Chances are your topic has been covered ad naseum. If you have a question about a particular girl, start a thread in the newbie forum. In fact, any basic question should go there.

This is the #1 newbie mistake. If a zero rep member posts a useless post like Tuthmosis describes, everyone's first impression will be based on your post, "oh he's the guy with oneitis for a 40-year-old cat lady."

Even more - these posts generally don't solve any problems either. They usually fall into two categories -

1. "What should I do with my life! I am interested in xxx and do xyz yada yada yada. "
These are impossible for us to answer because we do not know enough about you to make a decision. Easy as that.

2. "So here's a situation with this HB7!"
If you post a 1000 word thread about one girl, you've already lost the battle. In 99% of situations it is best to dump her or move on with standard game/life.

**If you feel that you NEED to post a long thread, write it, save it as a draft, and revise three days later. You'll find most problems solve themselves. Or - you will read it and realize what an idiot you sound like.

Been on here since early last year and havn't posted much due to work commitments, but I've learnt alot from RVF and the self-improvement aspect of the game.

I find RVF way more useful than the MRA and MGTOW forums. Some of the dudes on there (not all ofc), are just too bitter to work on the self-improvement needed.

Ay yo brahs, I texted this girl something that was like SO FUNNY about an hour ago but she hasn't responded. Now I'm all frettin. I sorta want to text her back but like I'm worried she'll think I'm needy and all that stuff. Should maybe I send her an emoji or something, or maybe pretend like I meant to text this one girl and accidentally texted her? I read this book by Mystery Strauss and he says I just need more game, and I should wait a few hours, but like how many hours?

I'd appreciate your advice.
