Exclamation Protocol if a murderer is discovered to be a reader of mine, ROK, or RVF
With so many mass shootings in the States these days, it's just a matter of time until one of them happens to follow me on Twitter, read ROK, or like a handful of my Youtube videos. Existing reporters who hate me in the media will take this casual association and try to say that I must have caused the murderer to go violent, even though my work does not promote violence. They will do this to incite a mob to come down upon us, hoping I will shut down my "hate speech" sites in the same way PUAHate shut down after Elliot Rodgers went on his killing spree.

When this happens, and it's statistically likely based on the huge audience that read my sites, here is the protocol we must follow:

1. Strongly denounce the violent act. There will be no public sympathy or empathy for a man who decides to take the road of violence. Denounce the murderer and his crime on the relevant forum thread. I will also make a public statement condemning the violence.

2. No jokes or sarcasm, especially towards the victim. Absolutely do not make jokes about the victim or try to justify their harm, even if the victim turned out to have wronged the murderer (e.g. false rape accusation, bad divorce). Anyone who does this will be immediately banned without warning. Also tone down your use of animated gifs during this time. Consider that the world will be watching us during the media accusation and we have to be direct and sincere with our communication.

3. Comment on media articles distancing our community from the killer. Leave comments that condemn the violence and distance our teachings of game and masculinity to the criminal act. You can also do this on Twitter. Call out the trolls that say "I'm a Roosh follower and I support this act" as liars and provocateurs.

And that's it. Don't panic, follow the protocol above, and give it a week for things to calm down as additional facts of the crime clearly reveal us to not be at fault. We will not be pressured by false media accusations in the case a mentally unstable man decides to take the law in his hands.

(I'm posting this today not because a new crime could be linked to us, but just to be proactive.)

Hasn't Bodybuilding.com got some useful advice surrounding these types? As large a forum BB.com is it was bound to attract oddballs and those who cannot separate reality from fiction. Hell the guy who was termed "balcony bra" was part PUA and part bodybuilder according to the media and was made out to be a "creepy PUA" who took advantage of drunk girls.

And lets not forget Elliot Rogers. Guy was on the forum and possibly browsed here too I bet.

This is a good example of what not to do. Do not imagine links that murderers have to this forum, especially when it's speculation like you just did. Elliot Rodgers didn't have an account here and there was no evidence he read the forum.

If you made such a comment during an emergency I describe, you would be banned immediately.

I applaud this important clarification. Interestingly enough I requested something similar earlier today in the Hugo Awards thread. I'm glad to see you were ahead of me.

As the men's movement grows ever larger and Roosh becomes an all the more prominent figure in it his detractors will in turn become all the more eager and desperate to associate the message with any wrongdoing. No matter how illogical the correlation might be.

I understand the risks you're facing roosh. I only ask that you deal leniency and mercy when people post sloppily during forum emergencies.

I appreciate foolsgo1d's comments. I would have been very sad to see him go. Could you deal week long cool down bans instead of permanently banning people? At least keep people at arms length until the news cools down.

These executive decisions could frighten away people from post and becoming members.

Roosh is really upping his media relations and social media playing game, I like it, gotta professionalize your presence as the enemy also escalates their weaponry.

Regardings Elliott Rogers or balcony brah, they are perfect illustrations of what Roosh was talking about. Imagined causative links for Elliott (he hung out at bb.com but didn't even lift) or waiting for m8re truthful facts to come out for balcony brah (everyone thought he pushed the girl, live audio recordings showed she hit him, scratched him, clubbed him over the head, didn't want to leave then went to the balcony and started climbing down herself when she fell)

No. During emergencies, there will be zero leniency or mercy given, even for senior members with thousands of posts. Do not post in those times unless the rules and protocol are absolutely clear to you. If you're confused, simply don't post during the emergency and wait for normal mode to resume.

Thread should be stickied. It shouldn't be buried on page 3 in a couple of days- it's fairly integral for it to be on page 1 in perpetuity. Just a suggestion.

It's better for institutional PR to be as swift and vicious to anyone who steps out of line when in such a spotlight. The slightest screwup will be amplified by those trying to find one.

Why do you give the liars from the media so much power? They write what they want anyway.

It's not about surrendering power. It's about respecting the victims while simultaneously defending oneself. It's about being a human being instead of a backwoods savage.

It's sad that this even needs to be said, for many reasons.

I disagree. We are men, Grown adult men. If we have the social skills to do any of the following; go out, get women, jobs, grow our own wealth and businesses, meet like minded individuals etc . . . then we should have the social skills and the tact not to post stupid shit and screw up the only place on the net that SJW's haven't been able to shut down.

If someone, anyone, even if that person was me, was unable to have the self control and discipline necessary to NOT post stupid shit, then they deserve to be banned.

If they can't have that kind of self control and discipline, then what does that say about their past posts? If they cant keep it together on an internet forum, how can they keep it together enough to be who they claim to be? Basically people like that invalidate their own advice by the lack of self control. It may be easy to slip up in person(but still the above applies so you really only get a small amount of leeway) , but to do so on the internet? Come on, you have to do so many things between thinking of something stupid to say and actually going through the motions of saying it, that a person who does not have the control over his mental functions to stop the chain of slow moving events leading up to posting said stupid thing deserves no quarter and no mercy.

In any case, this thread is only a warning, which in a forum of smart, informed, men who are GOING somewhere and DOING things, shouldn't even need making. Basically if you're posting stupid crap, then you're not in the category of men who are making something of their lives, which is what this forum is really about.

You are who you associate with. You really have to ask yourself:

Who am I?

Who am I associating with?

Is this what I really want?

So what? I have no need to be liked by them. If they want us to look bad they will make us look bad. They spreaded the message that roosh promotes rape which is simply untrue. They didn't need facts for their hostility in the past and they certainly don't need it in the future.

I think we should gather intelligence as well. So if say Vox tries to pin a guy's violent act on him reading ROK articles, we can say "but xxx who murdered five people was an avid reader of Vox."

Take care of those titties for me.

Excellent suggestion. Not just that should be sticky, but

1) an anti-illegal actions sticky similar to this murder warning one, should exist.

2) Every new account sign up should have to read and check that they agree with, should say they agree they do not advocate violent acts etc, and agree to hold harmless Roosh etc, get a lawyer to do it for you. Have them type in the user name to indicate agreement, trot it out if some idiot does something bad.

Have you read the article? As a sound bite it works great. At some point Roosh will sit down with a reporter and they will ask him about the article. It will become embarrassingly clear if said reporter has not then read the actual article and thought experiment behind the provocative headline. If they have, they consciously know Roosh is not promoting assault.

Above all:
Roosh's forum, Roosh's rules

However, no one is immune from verbal slip ups. As much as I agree with this article in tone and spirit: http://www.rooshv.com/how-to-stop-rape

Even innocuous remarks can be twisted and turned. It's the media's full time job.

I avoid being in the spotlight for a reason as I know for a fact I don't have the level of control Roosh is looking for. I'll definitely be refraining from posting during war time. The group is too invaluable to me to be banned permanently for saying something dumb.

Just give us fair warning when it's war time. That big yellow banner was very helpful.
