Super Alpha Djokovic reveals his motivation secret
Novak Djokovic has revealed that, the evening before his victorious US Open final, he watched the ultra-macho, totally anti-PC, movie "300". And he even re-played, with Gerard Butler, the famous movie scene: "This.. is.. SPARTA!"

Djokovic actually played almost all the final with a bloodied right-arm, saved 19 break points, and prevailed, in a truly macho, Spartan way... I think any red-pill man would particularly like all the manly, anti-feminist, conservative, non-politically correct attitudes this Serb champion has... and him quoting "300" certainly infuriates all the SJWs and other "liberal" cowards of New York Banana

http://www.news.com.au/sport/tennis/nova...7526734211

"Djokovic said some of the fight he showed in the grand slam decider is the result of his decision to watch the iconic swords and spears slaughterfest 300 with his team on the eve of his showdown with Federer."

RE: Super Alpha Djokovic reveals his motivation secret
He's a brilliant player, easily the best player of the last five years and along with Federer and Nadal, one of the legends of the modern era.
I think he does a good job of not succumbing too much to nonsensical media bullshit but is wise enough not to piss them off either.

RE: Super Alpha Djokovic reveals his motivation secret
It's probably no small coincidence that he is Serbian as well.

I don't really follow tennis outside of knowing who wins the Slams immediately after they happen and only due to sports radio. However, I just read up a little on Djokovic and the man is putting GOAT numbers. People complain about Serena's endorsements vs Sharapova's, not taking into account Serena's off-putting personality and arrogance. But from what I know of Djokovic, he's a good looking guy who's also pretty laid back and with a good sense of humor. I know he's Serbian, but this guy should be the undisputed face of tennis.

When did Manosphere scientists discover this new class of "Super Alpha"?

I'm surprised I hadn't seen the news earlier, like in this case:

Funny thing is he used to be completely the opposite. A few years ago he would get easily rattled by any set back and you could just watch him self-destruct on court. He even caught flack for retiring in the middle of matches when it wasn't felt to be justified. But now he's rock solid out there, no question that he's a fighter and is going to give it his all, good example of a guy who was able to seriously change his mindset for the better.

It's inspiring for sure. Someone who was mentally frail was able to change himself, although we can get philosophical about how pure mental strength is vs mental strength predicated on knowledge you're physically inexhaustible and flexible like a rubber band. The jump Djokovic took in 2011 would like if one of us suddenly added an extra 0 to the end of our net worth.

As to "him self-destruct on court", you are mistaken. He only pretended, feigned, to self-destruct on court. It was, a few years ago, one of his favorite mindgames. Blush ... When everybody on the circuit knew that Djokovic playing injured in the fifth, was just a trick, then Novak discarded this tactics and moved on. Anyway he became so good that no mindgame is needed anymore...

How could Djokovic have ever been mentally frail? the guy learned to play tennis under NATO bombings...

McEnroe as others criticized Novak early in his career for lacking toughness and not persevering. This is ancient history as he has proven to be tough and clearly No. 1 in the world now.

One of Djokovic's friends and mentors on tour was Marat Safin, one of the most alpha and charismatic guys out there. It does seem he is dialed in a lot more now that he's a husband and father, I can't see anyone challenging him right now.

I generally agree with what "Going Strong" has written on Djokovic, pretty much spot on based on my knowledge and stories I've read and been told.

I don't know how you can call Safin alpha in tennis terms, as despite being a very good player (two Grand Slam wins) he still never fully delivered based on his amazing talent and choked in many important matches. His emotional outburst seemed to "eat him inside" more than giving him strength.

Novak Djokovic questions whether women deserve equal pay in tennis

Balkan Power!!!

I like this guy more and more every year. I expect him to catch quite a shit storm for this since "equal pay for women" has been a feel-good media fantasy in tennis for a while.

Djokovic points out that the men actually bring in more viewers and revenue. Another reason why women should get payed less is that they actually play less. In the main Grand Slam tournaments they only have to play best out of 3 sets per match, whereas the men have to gruel out best out of 5 sets.

I always say "I'm equal pay, not same pay". The idea that men have to put in a third more work than women at minimum in Grand Slams to win in straight sets to get the same pay is extremely unequal and no one would work in an office job where that was the bare requirement for men to earn the same as their female counterparts.

Novak Djokovic sends feminists into meltdown with "equal pay" comments
Novak Djokovic questions equal prize money in tennis

Quote:World number one Novak Djokovic says male tennis players should earn more money than their female counterparts because more people watch them play.
Earlier, Indian Wells tournament CEO Raymond Moore said the women's WTA Tour "ride on the coat-tails of the men".
After claiming victory at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, 11-time major winner Djokovic said the men's tennis tour "should fight for more".
But the Serb described Moore's comments as "not politically correct".

Djokovic, 28, said women "fought for what they deserve and they got it", but claimed prize money should be "fairly distributed" based on "who attracts more attention, spectators and who sells more tickets".
There has been equal prize money in all four majors - the Australian Open, US Open, French Open and Wimbledon - since 2007, and combined Masters events such as Indian Wells and Miami pay the same to men and women.
But female players are paid significantly less at women-only events when compared with similar sized men's events.
World number one Serena Williams said Moore's statement was "offensive", calling it "mistaken and very, very, very inaccurate".
"There's only one way to interpret that. Get on your knees, which is offensive enough, and thank a man," added 21-time major winner Williams, 34. "We shouldn't have to drop to our knees at any point."

Moore, a 69-year-old former player from South Africa, said: "If I was a lady player, I would go down every night on my knees and thank God that Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal were born, because they have carried this sport. They really have."
He later apologised for the "erroneous" remarks.

What else did Djokovic say?
The Serb admitted it was a "very delicate situation" and was "completely for women power". He said:
Equal prize money has been the main subject of the tennis world in the past seven or eight years
Both men and women's games should "fight for what they think they deserve"
Women have to go through "hormones" and other challenges men do not
Women have to make "sacrifices for certain periods of time, the family time or decisions that they make on their own bodies in order to play tennis"

A debate about the relative strengths of the men's and women's game should not be off limits, but the language Ray Moore used was deeply offensive - and it is hard to see how he can command the confidence of the players who will return to Indian Wells next year.
Novak Djokovic's comments are shared by very many in the men's game.
He is suggesting prize money at combined events should be distributed on the basis of ticket sales and TV viewing figures.

That may lead in future to women being paid more, but could also fatally undermine the principle that men and women should be treated equally for competing on the same stage - irrespective of the number of sets they are asked to play.

- Excluding Grand Slams, 395 million watched WTA Premier events and finals on TV and digital, compared with 973 million for ATP events

- In 2015, the Wimbledon men's final attracted a peak audience of 9.2 million viewers, compared with 4.3 million for the women's final.

- At the US Open, the men's final drew 3.3 million viewers, compared with 1.6 million for the women's final

-However, in the previous two years, the US Open women's final was watched by more viewers than the men's.

-Men's finals generally garner more ticket sales than women's finals. However, in 2015, tickets for the US Open women's final sold out before the men's

-Djokovic earned $21m (£14.5m) in prize money last year, compared with Williams' $10.5m (£7.3m), but the two 10th highest earners, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Roberta Vinci, both earned $2.2m (£1.5m).

-Men play five sets at the Grand Slams. At all other times both men and women play three sets.

Just saw another Djokovic thread bumped on the first page, if a mod can merge this into that, it'd be great.

Oh and one minor detail, that Sharapova is far more attractive than Williams.

More female attractiveness = Many more opportunities.

Ugly chicks and feminists (whoops, somewhat redundant there) hate that notion.

Serena and the losers that comprise her following might complain about this "sexism," but they should be thankful for said sexism.

If not for sexism splitting athletic competitions into Men and Women, no one would know or care who Williams were, because there are hundreds, if not thousands, of men in the world better than her at tennis.

RE: Super Alpha Djokovic reveals his motivation secret
Well, the tennis CEO that started the whole conversation succumbed to the PC/feminist police and stepped down from his position:

Meet the tennis executive whose comments have triggered outrage

Quote:Indian Wells CEO Raymond Moore was asked about the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), which Indian Wells works with to put on events like the BNP Paribas Open. "In my next life when I come back I want to be someone in the WTA," he said. "Because they ride on the coattails of the men, they don’t make any decision, and they're lucky. They are very, very lucky. If I was a lady player, I’d go down every night on my knees and thank God that Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal were born, because they've carried this sport. They really have."

Novak said this more tactfully, but since he doesn't have to bow down to any PC/feminist overlords, he gets to keep his job.

Quote:Patrick McEnroe, while broadcasting the men's final, said, "I'm absolutely livid." He called for Moore to step down. Steve Simon, who held Moore's position until he became CEO of the WTA last year, said, "The WTA stands on its own and was founded on the principles of equality and empowerment

Expected cucking from those kowtowing the PC line. No one dares speak a differing opinion otherwise face the wrath of the social justice police.

Quote:Novak Djokovic, current men's No. 1, appeared to complicate matters when he was asked about what Moore said. Djokovic called the comments "not politically correct," but continued: "Women deserve respect and admiration for what they are doing. You know, equal prize money was the main subject of the tennis world in the last seven, eight years... On the other hand, I think that our men's tennis world, ATP world, should fight for more because the stats are showing that we have much more spectators on the men's tennis matches." Djokovic dug himself deeper by saying about female players, "Their bodies are much different to men’s bodies. They have to go through a lot of different things that we don’t have to go through. You know, the hormones and different stuff, we don’t need to go into details."

Dug himself deeper (according to whose standards?) by stating biological facts? Clearly shows whose side the article writer is on.

Quote:The same star power and success on the court that led tickets to sell out also ignited a debate over whether it was fair that Sharapova makes almost twice as much money in endorsement deals as Williams. Many pundits suggested that the reason was plain and simple: racism.

LOL. If it's not sexism, then it's racism.

Bring on the trannies next Olympics and someone please put Serena in her place. Wonder what victim class she'll claim then.

Conservative Novak Djokovic has just opened a new restaurant, which will be free for poor and homeless Serbian people!

Much respect: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/tennis/46...-homeless/

"TENNIS ace Novak Djokovic is opening a new restaurant... incredibly offering free food to those in need. Djokovic revealed customers will be able to dine for free after claiming he wants to give back to those who have supported him.

Novak said in a statement: "Money is not problem for me. I have earned enough to feed all of Serbia.

"I think that they deserve this after all the support they are giving to me

And... he's back! Banana

For Nole is just (or so it seems) minutes away from a new, absolute triumph! Welcome back Joker! After 16 months of wounds and suffering...

By the way, Djokovic pressured and forced the Wimbledon organizers (who not-so-secretly hate him) to finally program him on Center Court, which precipitated the re-programming of Federer on a secondary court onto which Federer lost against Anderson, and that in turn ended up in delayed-Nadal playing indoor (which Nadal hates). Well-done indeed, Nole!

^Will he do the same with his new sponsor's, Lacoste? That would be a first in Lacoste history...

Pretty dominant in the final. Thought Rafa was slightly better in the semi but Djoker held his nerve. I wouldn't go so far as to call him super alpha though - neurotic might be more appropriate.

He straight up destroyed Anderson. Damn. Granted Anderson was coming off a brutal 5 setter in the semis, but still.

Djoker looked sharp as fuck today. I'm really impressed.

A mind boggling fact that I read the other day concerning tennis:

Not a single player outside the Big 4 has won Wimbledon since 2002!

Once those guys retire, the game is gonna change a whole lot. Are we ever going to see such dominance again?
