A possible reason why bars and clubs have their music irrationally loud
We all know the typical reason given out by guys- it's just a simple way to make people a little more lonely and anxious, and to do that they drink more. Obviously, with ridiculous markup on the alcohol, so there is significant financial incentive, but the effect is not too big that people start to associate the venue with negative feelings, and it's socially accepted anyway.

But I figured that that reason is not sufficient to explain why so many venues had it when it was unbearable for me, especially without wearing earplugs. There has to be more people like me who want to go out and fuck girls without having to deal with the scammy tactics used by venues.

As I was rolling solo quite a lot in the past few months, I often was getting bored just waiting for a good time to approach. Sometimes I would shoot the shit with random guys, or even unbangable girls/girls not my type. At first I thought hot girls I approached came closer to me as they were romantically/sexually attracted, but soon realised everyone, guy or girl, were trying to get closer to me. Ostensibly, they do it "to hear me better". But it would probably be easier to stay where you were and simply talk much louder.

I was thinking about them doing that and I realised in hunter gatherer tribes we probably did get real close to each other, and that helped us develop emotional bonds with other members of the tribe more easily. We've only been "civilised" for a couple thousand years or so, so it's not enough time for evolution to change us, we still want that close emotional connection.

But in most parts of life, society has trained people to think it's awkward or "creepy" to move really close to other people. No matter that doing it in of itself isn't(as it's been done for millions of years)- but there's a self fulfilling prophecy that if you are socially aware and high value you tend not to do it, so the people that still do it are "awkward" so they reinforce that idea. People still haven't changed from wanting close emotional connections, and somehow at night venues where the music loud people can use this excuse that they are trying to hear each other better.

I'm probably saying this in part selfishly(I don't want to listen to insanely loud shitty music someone thought was "cool" at such a high volume), but also think it would benefit society as a whole. Why do we have to go to places like that for close emotional connections with strangers for it not to be "awkward"? Couldn't we somehow do it normally in our day to day lives? Is our society that fucked up?

RE: A possible reason why bars and clubs have their music irrationally loud
There's a direct correlation between loudness of music and the hotness of the women in attendance at any given club / bar.

The louder the music, the hotter the women tend to be. This is no accident; the loud music acts as a buffer to protect them from being hit on by betas. It makes it harder for your average beta to go up to a hot chick and introduce himself the louder the music is. This makes mate selection that much easier for women. It removes the conversationalist from the equation. If you're not 6'4 Chad Thundercock with six pack abs, your chances of scoring go way down when you remove conversation from the equation.

You're also correct in your assessment in that the club is creating a high stress environment by bumping up the music; the idea is to create an uncomfortable situation and then sell you the solution: alcohol.

That's true - it increased the excitement and stress level instantly. Also it makes pickup much more primordial as you have mainly your looks and posture going for you - if you don't have that instant raw attraction, then picking up girls in the club is very difficult.

Thus you will see many world-class Daygamers who are shorter and less good-looking than the prolific Club-Players. Though of course - Game always has to be added to the picture unless you want to fuck only 6s and 5s as a male 8 or 9.

People drink more when its loud and you can't talk, all there is do is drink and dance.
Or do like me and post up on the wall holding your beer at chest height and wait for women to approach you... I keep doing this and one day it will pay off. I will get approached by girl, its bound to happen..... right guys?

Alcohol lessens the effect of sound too. At least for me.

I don't agree with the music making it harder for many men to approach. It helps that a mans bad game can be covered by a high energy atmosphere and he can keep it to himself and the girl who brushed him off unless she and her friends are attention whores who like shaming bad game.

You don't see many guys doing many approaches in quieter environments serving alcohol. Loud music isn;t played for social cohesion within a venue either but more or less to cover any silences or lack of atmosphere.

Go into a bar or club early and see how many people are there. Medium-large venues need an atmosphere to start drawing people in. if it is quiet then people will not feel the vibe and quickly scarper regardless of how good it might be on paper.

Pubs are small places and has the advantage when it comes to only a few patrons being present.

There's also the fact that dance music is exciting and fun for girls to dance/drink to.

When I have mellow house parties where lots of talking is going to happen and a relaxed/chill vibe, I put on that type of music at a low volume.

When I want to have a high energy party with dancing and fun late into the night, I put on high energy/danceable/pop music and it gets louder throughout the night (as the party gets louder and people who are talking start to talk louder drowning out the music.

A club/bar scene is nothing without girls.

Do you think girls want to dance to energetic music that is played just barely audibly or more on the end of so loud you're completely enveloped in the music?

Their actions show it's definitely the latter.

I wish more places had a balanced volume, especially if the music is not live. I go to a lot of local shows because I like the music and want to support other musicians, but my game is always terrible in that environment. My social skills plummet in a loud atmosphere. I can't hear or understand people, people can't hear me and I hate having to yell and having people have to yell in my ear multiple times. It makes conversation almost impossible. I'm not a dancer unless really intoxicated so I think my personality is more attuned to Day Game. My brain gets sort of short circuited in a high energy loud music environment, too much stimuli. Alcohol seems to make the problem worse ironically.

You guys are definitely onto something with loud music being correlated with hotter chicks, I have noticed it but didn't make the connection. It's a total beta filter that unfortunately affects guys like me too. The obvious anxiety that loud music creates leads to more alcohol sales for sure.

A critical part of game is extraction. If you can't build up some attraction in those environments, at least enough to get her to move away so the noise isn't such a cockblock to conversation, then you're missing a big part of game.

I'd much rather try to extract a girl in a loud environment where she's alone versus extracting her from a group of friends with a bitchy mother hen in a quiet environment.

You can still communicate a ton with body language in a loud environment. You also have an in to get close to her and talk into her ear and you back to her. Flip the situation to benefit you.

However loud music can work in your favor, IF she is initially interested in you.

There are multiple moves you can use to make it more intimate. One that I loved doing in clubs is taking her head from the back and pulling her to my mouth to "talk to her". It's a dominant and semi-sexual move. There are mock slaps to the face that you can do if she does a shit-test. But all of this is based on the fact that there has to be some strong attraction from her side initially. Still - most good-looking guys fail in that regard displaying lousy Game.

I've long believed this. Thank you for reminding me of the big reason why I fucking hate bars with a passion.

I honestly can't understand why anyone would consider such an environment a good place to meet women. How can I meet women if I can't talk to them?

I used to use the term 'bar' as you do...I now use the term 'club' and 'bar' after living in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin is full of very comfortable 'bars' that feel almost like you are walking into someone's living room or basement rec room. You can talk easily, the people are super friendly etc.

Clubs are my kryptonite. The loud music puts me on edge and I have zero dance game.

It sounds like you've never actually been to a bar or club, because this was my same thought process before I started going out.

Alcohol, grinding, loud music. It's truly an awesome environment, and women doll themselves up before going out which to me is great because it allows you to see them in their peak appearance, so as there's no question if she could be hotter.

And it's very possible to talk to women. This is another aspect I love about bars and clubs: It forces the guy and girl to get close in order to talk. One of the best unintentional characteristics about these places. The music's too loud but she's trying to talk to you - No other choice but to close that gap between you and her and put your hand gently on her lower back while you tilt your head down so an ear is close to her mouth. When she's done talking, you speak closely in her's. It's perfect. You're making a move that doesn't seem odd or forced - It's something that makes sense. This forced physical interaction is a great way to establish your smoothness, your masculinity, and it lets her feel your skin; something that women adore.

If you're younger like me, the Snapcodes are another fantastic way to get around the noise issue. I've gotten many Snapchats in bars barely speaking a word to her. Just pull it up and she'll add you 90% of the time if you're generally attractive. Her and her friends may pass your phone around too, so the next morning you'll have 7+ new friends on Snapchat. Good or bad, that's yours to decide.

Trust me, bars/clubs are a great place to meet women. Go out with your friends next weekend. It's a great time.

Girl: Can't we go someplace quieter? We can't hear each other talk.
Sal Maroni: What makes you think I want to hear you talk?
Girl: What?
