Imported Mitsubishi Delica's are kind of popular in Canada. Diesel, 4x4 and I think some of them are 8 passenger. Astro vans in their day were decent because of the truck frame and towing capacity but they are kind of old now.

E350 conversions are pretty cool too for camping/expedition vehicles

Somewhat related, if you are a single dad and drive a minivan, sign your kid up for soccer practice. Consider taking a coaching or assitant coaching position. The bored suburban women who take their kids to soccer practices will blow your mind.

Nice setup! A twin sized mattress? Is that a Chrysler? The're a bit more roomy but not as good on gas as the Mazda5. As Suits has demonstrated, you aren't having cramped, uncomfortable car sex in this thing, you're getting it any which way you want it!

I can see this making sense in the broader meaning. True alpha males do not need to drive an expensive fancy car, they are Alpha, they don't need a certain type of car to prove that.

That is why I am going to sell my Porsche once I have restored it. I don't need it anymore to "prove" anything. On the other hand a " mini van" or people carrier as it is known in the UK is just about my least favourite type of car.

Need? No.

Want to? Sure. What's the problem?

Absolutely. Obviously driving a fancy car, going to expensive clubs or other materialistic things are not what makes one "alpha". I actually think that doing the opposite can help some people achieve a state of alpha. Going against the norm and being confident that what you're doing is correct, despite the fact that flocks of sheeple who have been raised by television and advertising are doing something else.

Alpha is a state of mind and there are homeless people who have what we refer to as alpha traits: confidence and certainty in oneself.

I like this thread. Got my drivers license in a minivan and spent a lot of summers and Christmases in SoCal driving around in my aunt's Honda Odyssey.

These days I drive a compact station wagon, but I have to admit that I still like minivans a lot.

You could also super-size it and gut out a school bus. That's how Dad did it. If my photos weren't in storage I would post some, but check out this one with a wood-stove in it.

Take a bronco and remove the backseats. Still have that wet indoors set up without having to drive a mother mobile

Did any of y'all homies ever drive or messed around with a Plymouth Voyager? I'm talking about the ones made before 1995.

[Image: 1024px-87-90_Plymouth_Grand_Voyager_SE.jpg]

My dad has had nothing but minivans for the past 15-20 years, for work purposes....and for the kids.

You can take off the third row and use it to haul tools while keeping the second bench row to haul people around. Better yet, you can take off the second row and keep the third while using a mattress in the middle or using the area to store groceries in it. They are very configurable that you can do endless things to them.

I might get an ecoline or those Nissan NV work vans to haul around my bikes, and so they don't get wet in rainy/icy weather while hitting a trail.

A homie had a WV Eurovan with only the third row available, a mini mattress in the middle and a disco ball hanging from the middle. Bitches digged his terrorist van.

The funnest part about driving a 20 year minivan is not knowing when you're going to die. Sadly, most cannot go past 85/90....I've seen a Voyager with a turbo hit 110.

Head to 4:55 to see a 7 - second Minivan.....fuck you Vin Diesel and your 10-second tuner.

Sorry bro, I dont buy it.

If I do soccer mom steez, I'd do a SUV.

To each their own but I think this is a lack of funds masquerading a source of pride.

Might as well push the boundaries and say "Im so alpha male I take the bus- that way I can talk to girls to and from work."

WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude

Are minivans really that much cheaper? I remember seeing Toyota Venzas and Sienas for around 40k in Canada. I would go for the SUV as well, considering a new 4runner is only around 10k USD in Venezuela.

Japanese vans are expensive, especially with all the options. But brand new Caravans are pretty cheap.

That's a great van. Would love to bang girls in it. As for putting a mattress inside it reeks "rapist".

I always swore I'd never be caught dead in one. But now, having a more utility mindset it's hard to justify other large vehicles. There are definitely improvements to be made on the minivan in general.
