RE: Lima, Peru - City of Kings - Datasheet Late 2015
I am going to arrive to lima this thursday and have a very good pipeline from tinder already. i m in medellin since 2 months and i feel that the girls from peru are a bit more straight forward from messaging with them and speak a bit more english. tinder was worthless in medellin, only cupid worked well, and i got like 80 matches in peru in 2-3 days and after deleting the 5-6 Hbs, have a good number of girls for 2,5 weeks i m in peru, posting afterwords my experiences

Some thoughts on Lima

The city itself was so-so. Some parts of it (like the Malecon at sunset) were breath-taking, while I wanted to get as far away as I could from others (like the barrios you see on the drive from the airport to Miraflores). But I’d still go back in a heartbeat.

I stayed in Miraflores, next to Faro la Marina. Loved this neighborhood, but then again, I’m a sucker for being right by the coast. The area surrounding Parque Kennedy was nothing special, apart from it serving as a convenient meet up-spot for dates. As Designate wrote, stay the fuck away from Calle de Pizzas. Had to push away an agressive bastard who was set on selling me everything from coca to tetonas and weed for him to understand that he should stop trying. I found Barranco to be the most interesting neighborhood, with its artsy/alternative feel. Great pubs/bars too. If you’ve seen the colonial parts of other big Latin American cities, I wouldn’t even bother going into Centro Historico.

The Limeñas were a pleasant surprise. I came with really low expectations, but saw quite a few pretty ones. Many of the predominantly Spanish mestizos were beyond cute, with thin faces, voluptuous lips, well-shaped butts and thin legs. Mind you, I saw these in Miraflores and hardly anywhere else. As others have noted, these are way more difficult to game than other Peruvian girls.

I had promised myself to do more approaches during daytime this year, and the Malecon was just perfect for doing this. If you run, go for morning runs there, and make sure to walk around from 5pm and until sunset; you will be hard pressed not to see anything you like. Scored a fair few numbers and two dates this way. Provided you are staying in Miraflores, a great date idea is to go for a walk by the ocean and drinks at Cafe Buena Vista before bouncing her back to your place.

I speak Spanish pretty well, so I really don’t know how viable day gaming is for someone who does not. Tinder worked quite well for me (close to 50 matches during my first day, some of them hotties by all standards), but as soon as I found out how good day game in Lima was I stopped looking at it. I’d definitely recommend trying it out if you are staying for a couple of weeks or so— as I spent three days in the city, spending too much time on online game didn’t make much sense.

RE: Lima, Peru - City of Kings - Datasheet Late 2015
Hey guys, I posted this in a new thread but its probably more appropriate here, this is as of December 2015 and my two pennies worth on Wednesdays in Lima

Not sure if this data is out there, a but a lot of threads on Lima suggested that El Dragon was the best night on a Wednesday in Lima. I turned up at 12 o clock a few months ago, waited until 1, and there was no more than about 10 people in there.

Bizarro on a Wednesday seemed like the best option. High gringo factor, but then pretty much every girl there is actively looking for a gringo....I was opened on the dancefloor by a 7 and it was so easy to seal the deal it was unreal. There is also wristbands available at some hostels for foreigners which let you drink Pisco Sours until 1 AM for free....they pour them properly, its not a stingy outfit.

I will also back up that I personally though the calle de pizzas is awful. I must have walked into every single bar there at least 4 times, im sure its possible to have some success there but it really is a naff atmosphere with overpriced drinks, bad music and nowhere near as many "bricheras" knocking around as I was made to believe. I scanned and its not like I saw other gringos getting success either....so it wasnt just me who was out of luck.

I used Tindr for the first time in my life in Lima, and its extremely easy to get matches, extremely easy. In Colombia now and there seems to be more "dormant" users here than in Peru.

There's been some discussion amongst the guys here recently about the efficacy of Bizarro. I didn't have a good time there when I visited my first time. It was on a Wednesday and I went with another RVFer. Lots of gringos and gringas. Lots of pros. Horrible ratios. This was after getting on a list too. I haven't returned since then and probably won't. Others who've been here recently have said similar things. Must just be really hit or miss now.

I know I bashed Pizza Street in my original post and I definitely agree with everything you wrote here, but Pizza Street was hoppin' last Monday night. Lot's of foreign girls from Europe and South America were there. It's probably the best place to go in Lima on a Monday if there is such a thing. Will report back after further investigations.[/quote]

I picked up something in Ecuador that is worth considering. January and February and possibly now seems to be high season for South American travellers, they have their university breaks and seem to take more holidays. I noticed there was way more south american travellers in January than in December. Perhaps this helps ratios, especially on Mondays and Tuesdays, where there will be less locals going out who work.

I probably had the wrong mindset. If i get a slightly bad vibe off a place I can switch off it. I think in these situations you need a wing or you can get bored very fast alone and just keep switching venues too fast, impatiently. At least thats what happens to me, i drink my beer too quick because theres no conversation, then move on....

Verdad amigo, there are good venues all over Lima. Club MIA in Surco is probably my favorite place here at the moment.

An RVF crew went up to north to barrio Los Olivos last weekend to check out some discos and see what exists far away from Gringoland. It was my first time there. I heard before that Los Olivos was a dump, and it is to a degree, but it's probably more "middle class Lima". Definitely more sketchy and I probably wouldn't go there solo at night, but if you are looking to explore life far from Miraflores/Barranco I'd recommend it.

There are two main strips of discos and clubs separated by the Panamericana. Outlined here:

The strip on Segura was completely dead with most of the venues closed, apparently due to a long standing conflict with the local government. On a normal weekend it looks like it'd be poppin'.

The area north of the Mega Plaza had more action, but the nightlife looked like it was suffering from a bit from the local government conflict as well.

There was some talent here and there, but mostly pros and hustlers. Would be interested to see it on a better night. Gringo factor is through the roof there and I think it'd be a great place to find a Peruana who is virgin to the Gringo game.

This isn’t so much a problem with working, careerist types who will be more flexible, but for university aged Peruanas 18-23 logistics can sometimes be an issue. They will almost guaranteed to be living with their parents or some other family outside of the Miraflores/Barranco vicinity and thus will have a longer commute to meet up. Most don’t trust taxis at all, even Ubers, so they won’t come meet you alone. They will try and get you to come out their way or at least pick them up AND bring them back. Don’t concede to do so unless you are really desperate to meet.
Might go to Peru soon and this reaaally annoyed me when I was in POA. Do you think leaving in the outskirt next to other colleges would be better to get younger girls? I also read that there are younger girls in miraflores because of a university but are they just passing by?
What would be your solution for this?
If I sum it right girls from Miraflores are gringa or wannabee gringa with a western shitty attitude, so leaving there can be quite toxic Confused. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hey Miraflores is the best district of Peru, all universities and insititutes are privates there, so Many rich students live in Miraflores, San Isidro(near),San Miguel. Also You can practice Day Game with the middle class girls who go to Miraflores to visit Larcomar, eat or buy things.

Generally, Most of peruvians are so open to white foreigners. It will be difficult that a peruana thread you bad, maybe the hot rich girls can have a bitch shield, but it is not an issue. Just dress well, be confident.

Another place to get good results is San Isidro, you can game the decent looking workers who has break between 12 pm to 3 pm. You will need a great good looking appareance and solid game.

Unless your whole purpose of traveling to Lima is to run strict university day game, I wouldn't complicate things. Just stay in Miraflores, it's simply the best place to live when you consider all factors.

Yes logistics can be a problem for certain girls, but if you are staying for more than a few weeks I would not worry about that too much as you will have ample time to overcome it. I've seen you complain about this is other threads too, but that is life in large Latin American cities. You must be doing something wrong if it's that big of an issue for you. The sheer number of prospects you can get in Lima counterbalances any problem you should have. Yeah some can't meet on a drop of a dime, but in my experience 99% Peruanas will go out of their way to meet you at some point if they like you. Simple as that.

The only times I've really experienced horrible attitudes in-person in Lima was at Gotica. Especially when there are really young Pitucas (upper class Peruanas) out in mixed groups. But that's hit or miss depending on the night. Some Pitucas have bad attitudes and are less interested in foreigners, but not all. A lot Pitucas live in areas other than Miraflores, such as La Molina or San Borja.

Yeah, most pitucas live in La Molina or Surco. I actually wouldn't care about them, you won't see them running around in Miraflores during the day, they will either be working/at university or in their car.

I had that in the South of Brasil where girls would not take a 30 min bus to come whereas in Bogota they would take 2 hours of bus just to see me, if there is one thing that I have understood is that depending of the country, girls will put more effort into meeting.

Not white, never bugged me in Bogota, unlike in the UK ...

Well, a lot of people here prefer to go cheap clubs to meet real people than pays 200 Reais to get into a club with snobby rich girls. Maybe in Peru those rich girls have a soul Tongue.
But anyway will definitely make a diary.

Airbnb is good for short stay but long term it's as expansive as an hotel.
Until now my strategy was to search on popular websites but they sometime annoys you if you only stay 6 months Confused need better nomad game.

This is very accurate info. Barranco is definitely where it's at right now and logistically one of the best areas to stay, together with Miraflores and maybe San Isidro.

To everyone; for the love of God, don't stay in la Molina. It's a very isolated district with little to do apart from some nice restaurants here and there. People just live there because of the schools, green areas, country clubs, and big houses. I know because my parents live there.

Finally, Tinder is an extremely effective tool in Lima and gives you access to tons of college girls that don't go out too much otherwise, but are still down to get dirty. Even more so if you link your Instagram with it and you have a nice feed. It sort of gives girls a feeling of security.

Mexico City gets rave reviews, but I'm no expert. Not an expert on Brazil, either. Heard great things about both.

You could live a great life in Bogota, Medellin, Santo Domingo, and Panama City. Those would be my top four cities to build a base in for Latin America as of now.

RE: Lima, Peru - City of Kings - Datasheet Late 2015
I just spent the last six months in Bogota, Lima and Santo Domingo.

All I can say is there are tradeoffs with each and it's going to come down to what set of aspects you value most.

For me I like all 3 places and for different reasons. If you told me that starting tomorrow I was sentenced to live in one of those cities for "x" years I would definitely be content with any of them. Maybe i'm just too optimistic about things though.

Tradeoffs, tradeoffs, tradeoffs...

For me Lima is good overall for a complete lifestyle. Good climate, ocean and nature. It's safer, large stretches of the city are middle to upper class, good restaurants and nightlife scene. Girls are easier and it's easier to get higher up the chain of Peruanas and I think they are generally a better option for an LTR versus Dominicanas and Colombianas

To me Bogota is equal to Lima overall. Good restaurants and some the best nightlife i've experienced. Great party atmosphere in general. Colombianas are obviously sexier and there are a lot of them in Bogota. I disagree with the general consenus that you can't LTR a colombiana, i think it just takes more time and effort to find one if thats your thing. The weather is complete shit in Bogota and it's undoubtly more dangerous than Lima though Zona Rosa/Parque 93 can help you forget about that.

Santo Domingo to me is the shittest for long term livablity of the 3. Lots of shitty and dangerous areas, idiotic hustlers, overpriced restaurants and generally not great nightlife if you like clubs and discos. Good for higher end places though it seems. With that said you could do very well in Piantini/naco, but that will come at a cost. Dominicanas are of course very thick and sexy but they carry probably the most baggage and are on average the worst option for something long term in my opinion. Of course if you were there long term you could have better access to the highest quality. The country is a paradise and you can escape to some very beautiful areas, so it has that advantage as well. If you are American another advantage is that it has much less rigid tourist visa restrictions than Peru/Colombia and many other LA countries.

Interesting perspective. To a certain extent, I agree. Sure, Miraflores is nicer than Zona Colonial or Chapinero. But if you can afford to live in Piantini or Zona T, then I think it's a no-brainer to skip Lima. Miraflores is, however, much cheaper than those areas. Also, I think you were in Lima when the weather was good. I found the weather in Bogota and Lima to be exactly the same.

Like you said - it also comes down to what you value. I thought Peruvian girls had better faces than Dominicans, then you get them naked and they drop two points. So you hit and then drop her. In the DR, the girl shows up looking like a six. Then you get her naked and you realize she has an insane body. So you fuck her once a week for the next couple months.

For relationships, a Peruvian girl will be more loyal. I spent three months in the DR and met one girl that was worthy of an LTR. I met a ton of chicks that were sexy, fun, and reliable. Colombia is in the middle. I agree you can find one for an LTR, but you better have a keen eye. I'd need three hands to count the number of times I suspected the Colombian girl in my bed had a boyfriend already.

Overall, I'd say it's Bogota, Santo Domingo, then Lima due to the fact that I'd never consider going back to Lima, but the other two I could base up in.

RE: Lima, Peru - City of Kings - Datasheet Late 2015
Yeah I experienced the Lima Summer (As well as Winter) so it was a lot different and ultimately the best time to be there. As I wrote somewhere else in this thread or in the Peru Thread. The city is night and day between Summer/Winter. The other difference is that it never rains in Lima, unlike in Bogota where you get the cold downpours at any moments notice. That's a big plus for me. The Bogota altitude and not having a ocean nearby are negatives too, though the nearby Fincas and dirt cheap airfare help.

I'm splitting hairs at this point. And yeah at the end of the day it's simply about tradeoffs and personal preferences.

Highlander, along with MasculineProfiles, I'd reference the Swoop The World and My Latin Life blogs for researching Latin America as well.

Thanks a lot guys!

Interesting that most of you seem value Bogota higher than Medellin, though many people I know and lived in both of them mostly would choose Medellin over Bogota.
But still, thanks for all the input!
I love living in the Phils and if the legislature (higher overseas tax) should not change here to the negative, then I will not leave the place where I feel totally at home.
But in the worst case after have got now some info (also here - thanks a lot again!), I think I would go with Medellin or Lima and call it a day (I am not a big fan of changing places, when I feel somewhere at home).
In this case I would need to learn as quick as possible Spanish - i have heard from many people, that yeah, you can learn it to a degree where you can use it enough to get Information exchanged.
But moat people seem to be pessimistic that you can learn it to a agree where you really can hold effort-less deep conversations and express yourself.
What do you think about this one?

Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn for us English speakers. In fact there are over 1000 "cognates" that you will already know. So it's possible to get to that level relatively quickly if you are a fast language learner.

In Peru I went full immersion and used only Spanish with the girls I was with. I basically went from having horrid conversational skills to having almost intermediate conversational skills in a months time. You utilize everything else at your disposal to take it to the next level, which I'm currently doing.

We've got a couple great Spanish threads here at RVF that you should look at. Roosh's and Americas'

If you are looking to save a bit of money on your stay, Barranco is cheaper and should be considered. There are better night venues in Barranco, but there is less action and attractive chicas out during the daytime than in Miraflores.
Parts of Barranco are very cool and I liked it better than Miraflores but Miraflores is much better for meeting girls. There are other parts of Barranco that are dangerous so many of the higher quality girls will not meet you in Barranco and some won't even meet you in Miraflores and go back to Barranco. There are million dollar condos in Barranco by the beach but some girls hear the word Barranco and it is an automatic no.

For every four 7+ (hot chicks) you get numbers from in Colombia - you'll find one girl of similar caliber to get a number from in Lima. My "white god" factor, if you want to call it that, was exactly the same in Lima and Colombia. Latinas like gringos with game - no matter the country.
This has been talked about over and over on the forum. MasculineProfiles is correct but I'll simplify it even further. If you have little game experience and little Spanish then Lima is the better choice. If you have game or Spanish then Colombia is the better choice.

However, I don't think this forum has found all the potential in Lima. Someone who speaks fluent Spanish could live in the nicer areas outside of Miraflores (around Jockey Plaza and further out into the suburbs near the colleges) and there will be much less gringo competition. This probably means living there but not visiting for a few weeks or a month.

Dated post, but could you quantify and qualify how much English ability youngish chicks have in both of these countries? (Even if there is no ability, e.g. japan, there are still many places to visit at night with girls that do speak. Can you factor this in?)

There are some statistics somewhere on the internets that say Peruvians are just barely ahead of Colombians with English speaking. But the experiences of many forum members is that this is increased with the younger generation because younger Peruvians seem to speak much more English than younger Colombians.

The Peru versus Colombia question has been discussed at length on this forum. If you are looking for more than just girls then nobody can answer that question for you. If you are looking for only girls then use this formula and don't overthink it.....
Peru if you have less Spanish and less game experience with latinas
Colombia if you have more Spanish and more game experience with latinas

I haven't been to Lima in a couple years but I have friends there and I've heard that not much has changed other than Miraflores getting a little more expensive. It's probably the best option for you Nampa1234

This excellent article by Colin Post is dead on accurate except for the information on visa requirements which is constantly changing.
