RE: Justin Trudeau is a cuck clown
^ Quintus Canada can perhaps be best explained as being about 8-10 years behind the US in terms of electoral cycles.

Justin is our Barry O. He got elected on ridiculous fiscal promises he can never keep (and if he tries it will bankrupt us), politically correct rhetoric and celebrity. Simply put, he was "cool".

I suspect the rise of Canada's own populist Trump and Sanders to be about 2 electoral terms from now.

^^ He looks like an angel compared to the previous guy. Can we just agree that all politicians are scum and don't serve the people, only the rich.

Canadians like most people can be friendly to your face, the trouble is what they say about you when you leave.

Things have always been comfortable in Canada, I see alot of things here that I have never seen in other countries. I am not some dumb patriot, I have travelled a fair bit and lived in other countries.

As for the muslims, they have been here for awhile. I have friends who are muslim, they are generally hard-working and peaceful people. Sure I could do without the mosque in my city, I could also do without those watchtower people ringing my front door twice a year. If that is their faith, so be it.

Just because one guy rapes a girl in Quebec, this is not a reflection on the whole community. Maybe some of you remember the Marc Lepine guy who gunned down 13 girls in Quebec a few years back or the Paul Bernardo case where he raped many girls and ended up killing two. No one is stating all white christian men are rapists now, are they.

Agree with the sentiment but Marc Lépine, born Gamil Rodrigue Liass Gharbi, was half Algerian with a (non-practicing) Muslim father, so not the best example.

I can't have sex with your personality, and I can't put my penis in your college degree, and I can't shove my fist in your childhood dreams, so why are you sharing all this information with me?

RE: Justin Trudeau is a cuck clown
As an outsider, what I noticed most of all in Canada is that the culture is very much about "communitarianism" in the sense that they want to accommodate nearly everyone and everything. Just my perception. I got the same vibe in Montreal as I got in Portland and Seattle.

But the thing is, Canada is such a huge country, such a new country, that it can absorb a huge amount of "pollution" and still be relatively unaffected. There are limits, of course. But damn, Canada is bloody huge. Look a map! Most of it is empty!

So I think Canada is not in any danger in the same way that the small Scandinavian countries might be from an avalanche of migrants.

I actually loved Quebec City. I love all that old historical stuff...it was like visiting a medieval fortress.

On the other hand, Montreal was a little to politically correct for my tastes.

This guy Trudeau has the eyes of a man who has no moral center. I look at him and I see someone who believes in nothing except what will get him elected.

RE: Justin Trudeau is a cuck clown
One thing non-Canadians need to understand, is that Canadian politics and society are unique and, frankly, kind of strange. It's almost like the rules that govern reality in other Western countries don't apply here.

I have to remind myself of this when I observe our country through an RVF prism. What might be good for America (Trump) or Europe (resurgence in Nationalism) might not work or even be appropriate for Canada. It's a theme we see playing out in this thread and that one about the Calgary Somali-gangbanger (not jihadis) shooting. Posters who aren't Canadian are viewing developments in Canada from an RVFcentric (American?) perspective and then you have Canadians on the ground chiming in with their own views.

I can understand why outsiders are so baffled. Unless you've lived or grown up here, you'd view developments in this country and (logically) conclude that we're headed for a world of trouble. Yet, it doesn't seem to play out that way. As Scotian wrote a few weeks ago, there's something about this country that makes everybody just chill out.

I think the weather and the vast terrain are a factor in this. It's really easy to have your own space in Canada. If you want to live in a home with some green space (even just a backyard) it's attainable for just about anyone. You can retreat back to your home outside the urban core and chill out in your yard in the summer or in front of the TV in winter, with your car parked in the driveway. It all gives you time to decompress. Who wants to do jihad when they can relax at home in a decent standard of living? The cold weather is an added deterrent.

We also don't have many real urban centres. Toronto is the only megacity we have. Montreal has a big city feel. I'm not sure if Vancouver or Calgary can say that, I've yet to visit those cities. Everywhere else has more of a "big town" feel than that of an urban metropolis. I'd say the closest comparison to about 99% of Canada is the flyover portion of America.

Here's an event that took place a couple of months ago that made me realize that we truly live in a bizarro country:

[Image: 579dbdfc4e043e3b61cc8569ca8dc577_XL.jpg]

In the above photo from November, we see the Premier of Ontario, Kathleen Wynne (white veil) sitting in a mosque (not far from where I live, actually). She was there to calm everyone down about the incoming wave of Syrian refugees. This photo was taken about a week after Paris. It's worth noting that Wynne is a lesbian. I looked at this image and asked myself "Who is cucking themselves harder? The lesbian Premier supporting people who despise her way of life or the Muslims for honouring a homosexual in their mosque?" This is the kind of stuff that happens in Canada. So far, it seems to have worked.

I'm still trying to figure out Canada and what makes its politics tick. I don't have all the answers but I can definitely understand why there's such a clash of views on RVF over our politics.

Samseau I read the link and watched the video, there was no cover up by the police out of fear of appearing racist as happened in Rotherham, Levant admitted it in the video. The police arrested the man and he was tried and prosecuted. This is a regional news story and wouldn't expect an American to know this but in Canada, regional issues in the Francophone media aren't widely covered in the Anglo media and vice-versa, I doubt that the night club shooting by Somalis in Calgary last week garnered much attention in the Quebec media. I'm with Kosko on this one, the guy is a predator with bad game, this piece of shit should be swiftly deported after serving time. Ezra Levant is again grasping at straws to tie low level crimes by Muslim scum bags to the larger threat of Islamic terrorism.

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

RE: Justin Trudeau is a cuck clown
Trudeau currently under fire in Quebec for his lack of empathy and his wimpy response to the al-Qaeda attack in Burkina Faso that killed 28 people this weekend, including six humanitarian workers from Quebec City.

He also held a short moment of silence for the victims...live from a mosque in Peterborough, Ont. that was reopening after being set on fire in November (shortly after the Paris attacks). Lots of people are also pointing out the fact that the inam in charge of the mosque isn't exactly "2015".

Quote:In YouTube videos posted in 2009, entitled Marriage: Are You Ready? Shazim Khan, prior to holding his current post as imam of the Peterborough mosque, gave a lecture in which he explained it’s “a major sin” for a wife to not have sex whenever her husband wants and “there is no need for her to go out” if her husband provides for her, along with other sexist musings.
link

He made a big deal out of the pepper spray incident in Vancouver last week and called the mosque attack an "act of hatred and racism"; but barely had anything to say or offer this time, when 6 Canadians were actually killed by the Religion of Peace.

This guy is a joke.

That's the Liberal Party in a nutshell, Quintus. Inasmuch as every politician from every party is playing the game, the Liberals take being a gang of unprincipled weasels to the next level. They're a coalition of upper-class lawyers, left-ish academics, and media executives. Blue pill pushers with media savvy and the ruthlessness of a mafia underboss. Hillary Clinton would fit right in with them.

(12-15-2015 10:11 AM)scotian Wrote:  One thing that annoys me about the Syrian refugee resettlement is that fact that the Canadian government is giving them Permanent Residency (PR) visas, 1300+ so far. I know several foreigners who are trying to immigrate to Canada, a few of them young guys who came to work in the oil sands from Europe. I'm renting my condo to two Irish guys, obviously they both speak English (although they had to prove that to the government!) and are university educated but they have to jump through hoops and work for 2+ years to get their PR. Then these illiterate bedouin goat herders waltz in the back door and get handed their PRs in no time, fucking bullshit!

I work in Sweden. I'm not a Swedish national.

When I have to renew my work visa, my application sits in a queue for a long time. Last time I applied for an extension I had to wait 9 months.

I sat home an entire Christmas holiday season because I was unable to leave the country.

Refugee applications are highest priority and processed in a week.

The shortest path to PR on a work visa is 4 years, while refugees are granted PR immediately and Swedish citizenship within maximum 3 years.

Refugees get free dental while I co-pay for mine.

Refugees get free housing while I pay for my own housing.

I should also mention that refugees get a monthly allowance around $2k, which is less than (and of course, covered by) the income tax I pay every month.

I have a Master of Science degree from one of the top 5 tech universities in entire Europe, while most refugees are and will be unemployable for at least 3 years after they arrive.

Maybe it would have been better I had played the Muslim card and applied for asylum instead of working my ass off to get where I am, but I didn't because I'm not a degenerate asshole.

Yet I have to pay out of my pocket for one refugee and a half every month? Fuck this shit.

I hope the incoming wave of refugees burn Europe to the ground because the people who voted to put this shit in place clearly deserved it.

To understand modern Canada, one has to be familiar of the Canadian constitution and how its impacted the country. It's written in plain language and its taught in high school and ideally (however unlikely) every Canadian should have a basic understanding of it, and therefore, understanding of their rights.

RE: Justin Trudeau is a cuck clown
I'm surprised that the sentence "supremacy of God" is at the very beginning of the Canadian constitution since I've always thought of Canada as a pretty secular country. Even the supposedly theocratic United States (at least according to people who get triggered by Christmas trees during Christmas) doesn't have any mention of God in it's constitution.

RE: Justin Trudeau is a cuck clown
Two Parter:

1. Canadian Politics and what it is: Canada was one kind of nation up until Pierre Trudeau was prime minister and passed the Charter of Rights and Freedoms in 1982. Lets call it "Old Canada" pre 1982 and "New Canada" post 1982. Old Canadian politics were conservative and christian. Its almost like your standard 1940s era American politics persisted in Canada right up through 1980. This old political brand of pro business, conservative values was tempered with social welfare like universal heathcare but was still pretty reserved. Canada had (and still has?) no food stamps programs, no free daycare for poor people, no Earned Income tax credit. This "Old Canada" Domain of politics slowly died with the last few Canadian prime Ministers like Jean Chretien and Paul Martin. "New Canada" politics is typical SJW/socialist but you'll only see it in those politicians that idolize Pierre Trudeau/Charter of rights and freedoms and dismiss everything else. This separation is very clear when you look at Canadian politics as it relates to businesses. "Old Canada" style politics is still in charge of business, big business gets done with very little scrutiny because its riding on pre-1982 politics and the "New Canada" politicians have no business focus. They just want to make sure weed is legal and every town has a pride parade with immigrant mayors. Thats what makes Canadian politics so weird. Unlike socialist USA politics you won't hear Trudeau Jr. saying "weed for everyone AND tax the shit out of rich people and big business"...just "weed for everyone". Last, Canadian politics and government are kept under wraps and not transparent. The entire senate is appointed for life (unlike america), there is no open freedom of information requests and there aren't really any 'capitol hill hearings' where people are summoned to testify before parliamentary committees. Unless you have a passion for politics its hard to know anything about whats happening in the legislature beyond what is in the news.

2. Middle Eastern/Muslim Canadians Kosko and Rudeboy have said it well...Canada is pretty well integrated culturally. When i was a teenager in the Toronto area there were Palestinian gangs, but also vietnamese and chinese gangs. People of all colors were banging each other and the only real white backlashes occurred in rural areas. Again, there was a big push back with a neo nazi movement in the mid 90s in Toronto but that was put down, people were locked up and freedom of speech was crushed with hate speech laws.

Its not like the "bad part of town" in Canadian cities is exclusively one or two cultures like in America or Europe it now seems. The 'bad part of town' in Oshawa used to be white trash, the bad part of town in Winnipeg is native indians, the 'bad part of town' in Toronto used to be Jamaican/Caribbean and the north suburbs had 'bad parts of town' that were middle eastern, italian or asian.

I think in Canada, it would be hard for any one culture to rise up and take over beyond SJW politics because there would be enemies on all sides and trusting allies would be difficult.

1. The guys saying "Oh Muslims aren't so bad in Canada" really have no clue what they are talking about. Currently, most of the Muslims in Canada immigrated legally and represent the top of the crop of the Islamic world. The top 10%. Obviously you aren't going to have many problems with them. The rapefugees belong to the other 90% of muslims, and they WILL FUCK YOUR SHIT UP. You have been warned.

2. Good to see the Canadian constitution isn't worth shit anymore.

Quote:2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:

(a) freedom of conscience and religion;

(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;

© freedom of peaceful assembly; and

(d) freedom of association.

There is no more freedom of thought or assembly in Canada anymore. Never mind trying to hold a meeting of White men only, Roosh barely could hold a meeting of just men only. Time to get real guys. Your country is fucked!

The silver lining to a Muslim invasion of Canada is that it would give the USA a great excuse to invade and take over that place. You'd be better off being incorporated into the USA as 10-15 states anyways.

Not really news to Canadian citizens.

The Canadian Charter of Rights and freedoms was trumped by the Canadian Human Rights Act in 1985. That is where all of the crazy accommodations for everyone but straight white christian men stems from in Canada

Quote:General

Marginal note:Prohibited grounds of discrimination

3 (1) For all purposes of this Act, the prohibited grounds of discrimination are race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, disability and conviction for an offence for which a pardon has been granted or in respect of which a record suspension has been ordered.

The law assumes a 'status quo' position for each item in that list. In order to 'discriminate' against one facet one must assume that there is a non-discriminatory facet.

For example to claim to be discriminated against as a woman, you must make the assumption that men are then not discriminated against. If everyone is treated the same, then there is discrimination....so as a side effect of creating discriminated parties case law has to create "non-discriminated" or privileged parties.

The reason why this trumps the Charter of Rights and freedoms is through the establishment of "Human Rights Tribunals" in the provinces. Butthurt people can complain to this "Tribunal" which then deals out sentences and penalties to the people and businesses that discriminated against them.

If I had the time for trolling for kicks I'd love to go back to canada and claim I'm being discriminated against because of my American national origin.

"My American nationality is a culture where I am a christian, privileged white man. If those views are discriminatory to you, you are discriminating against my national origin"

That would create victim double jeopardy similar to when the lesbian got into a pissing match against an arab barber shop. http://godfatherpolitics.com/14623/musli...complaint/ no one knows who one, they settled out of court in confidence.

Amazing how you have alien experts telling Canadian citzens about their own social dynamics. That is akin to having some guy from Lagos, Nigeria (who has never left his country) telling a current resident American about his own country. The cojones must be truly gargantuan!!

RE: Justin Trudeau is a cuck clown
Quote:Kevin O’Leary is right — he’s not Donald Trump and a similar campaign wouldn’t work in Canada

WASHINGTON — Kevin O’Leary is right — he’s not Donald Trump, Canada’s not the U.S., and should he run for high office there would be huge differences between him and the swirly-haired political phenomenon sweeping the land to the south.

Every ingredient in Trump’s success story is either absent in Canada — or at the very least carries a mildly different flavour north of the 49th parallel.

Their CVs certainly sound similar. Rich businessman. Reality TV host. Author of multiple financial self-help books. And, now, O’Leary’s musing about seeking high office despite lacking political experience.

He’s quick, however, to stress the differences: “I am certainly not Donald Trump in policy — foreign policy or domestic or social. We are different people,” O’Leary said in an interview.

[Image: ta010913-kevinoleary6-1.jpg?w=620&am...;amp;h=401]

Consider ingredient No. 1 in Trump’s success: celebrity.

Trump has been a household name in the U.S. since the dying days of disco. His love life was supermarket tabloid fodder back in the grunge era, and he’s not only graced the cover of Time magazine a few times, but Playboy, too.

That fame helped him burst out of the gates in attracting media attention. And the coverage grew, along with his poll numbers. Trump’s opponents gripe that he’s been allowed to dominate the airwaves — and they’re right. He’s received most of the airtime, leaving them starving for any oxygen at all.

O’Leary couldn’t count on that same visibility.

Even this week, and even within Canada, the number of Google searches for Trump were multiple times higher than for O’Leary — anywhere from seven to 17 times higher. And that’s after O’Leary started attacking the premier of Alberta and talking about the federal Conservative leadership.

Last week, the disparity was as high as 60 to one.

Ingredient No. 2: voter demographics.

Not all Republicans like Trump equally. Education is the key variable. Trump is dominating polls among party supporters who didn’t attend college — with a whopping 34-percentage-point lead, according to a national CNN survey last month. Among college attendees, Trump was in fourth place.

That kind of gap would seriously harm a Trump campaign in Canada. The ranks of those with a post-secondary education (in technical and academic programs) are nine percentage points larger in Canada, according to 2010 statistics from the OECD. The gap is even bigger among those aged 35 to 44 — where it’s a 14 per cent difference.

The modern economy hasn’t been kind to the lesser-skilled workers.

And that speaks to the third ingredient: economics.

The middle class is being squeezed in many countries, including North America. But it’s getting squeezed way harder in the U.S. The OECD’s measure of income inequality shows Canada in the middle of the pack, whereas the U.S. is the fourth-most unequal country after Mexico, Chile and Turkey.

Trump promises to turn back the tide on two factors blamed for hurting lower-skilled U.S. workers: trade deals and illegal immigration. That back-to-the-past message is even embedded in his campaign slogan: Make America Great Again.

That’s closely connected to factor No. 4: immigration.

It’s had an opposite effect on workers in Canada and the U.S., according to labour economist George Borjas and Abdurrahman Aydemir of Statistics Canada. They found it widened the wage gap in the U.S., pushing down the salary of lower-paid Americans — with a 10 per cent shift in the labour supply suppressing working-class wages by three to four per cent.

[Image: gop_2016_trump-9.jpg?w=620&quali...;amp;h=465]

In Canada, they concluded, it made the country more equal.

Because of its more difficult-to-get-to location and the design of its immigration system, they found, higher-skilled immigrants made it to Canada and they competed for jobs with wealthier workers.

In a campaign launch speech that disgusted many and prompted calls to boycott his businesses, Trump spoke the following way of migrants: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you… They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”

When Trump addresses the ranks of the disaffected, he doesn’t just talk immigration and trade. He also disparages a political system corrupted by money and special interests.

And there’s a fifth difference: Politics is a multibillion-dollar industry in the U.S. populated by lobbyists and campaign consultants. Congress is historically unpopular, and the people are angry with political incumbents. In Canada, the maximum political donation is $1,525 by individual; corporate donations are banned.

Trump’s boasting that he’s the incorruptible billionaire might not pack the same punch in Canada. Nor would his promises to self-fund much of his campaign.

That’s because Elections Canada has a $25,000 limit you can spend on yourself.

And that speaks to difference No. 6, according to one conservative activist who closely follows the politics of both countries. The mechanics of campaigning are vastly different, says Stephen Taylor.

In the U.S., voters register with the government as a Democrat, Republican or Independent — and that qualifies them to vote in a primary.

A Canadian leadership candidate needs to sign up new members, get a campaign team to reach them, and consult closely with the party establishment on the rules and procedures for registration.

“It’s much more difficult for a self-funded, ego-driven campaign in Canada,” Taylor said.

“A candidate is more dependent on playing nice within the party… Trump is running an anti-establishment campaign… A similar effort in Canada would not bear as much success.”

When it comes to addressing those voters, there’s a final difference: Trump doesn’t need to learn French to communicate with nearly one-quarter of his country.

I know this is a veiled attack against me, or others against the Islamic invasion, so I'm just going to point out there are many Canadian posters here who agree with me and who have already posted in this thread.

Moreover, the guys who are dismissive of the dangers of Islam sound just like disgraced member Blick Mang, who famously wrote

https://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-50253...pid1142352 Wrote:Paranoid Asperger nonsense like this is why I can't take anything on this forum seriously anymore. I'm living in the city with the highest concentration of migrants in the country with the highest number of migrants, literally ground zero, and have absolutely no fucking clue what you're talking about. It's not living in denial, it's living in reality rather than behind a computer screen on the other half of the world. You're in Boston, right? Have you been to Europe in the last month? 6 months? Year?

Samseau, are you sick? I'm 100% serious in asking this. I don't know what planet you're living on. If this gets me banned for insulting you, so be it, but this migrant paranoia has turned a quality forum into an absolute circle jerk of doomsday fear-mongering. For fucks sake, get laid, go to church, go on vacation, do whatever you need to snap back into reality. If you want to chat just PM me. I hate seeing otherwise intelligent guys succumbing to fear, paranoia, and defeatism the way women do.

Blick Mang has since basically deleted his account and retreated out of the forum in shame. He became dead silent after the Paris attacks, and after the NYE rape gangs were discovered he hasn't logged back in.

What will the Canadian experts do when Samseau is invariably shown to know more about their own country than those who live there? Will you rage quit the forum, or will you just admit you were wrong like a man? Inquiring minds want to know.

Samseau,

Canadians are known to have a chip on their shoulders, at least when it comes to relating to their power neighbor to the south. Most Canadian men are traditionally blue-collar, and those who are college educated are indoctrinated with highly liberal/marxist ideology. Like in every cult there's not much room for honest analysis and introspective about their own precarious existence. So they grow up craddle-to-grave believing to be unique snowflakes. I am not saying that is bad or good, it probably has to be that way in order for them to have any sort of separate national identity at all (as well as to keep huge ass Quebec from separating from them), otherwise they would just become a 51 state.

Yes, yes, yes, one could make a real argument that they are currently in a better position than many other western countries since their multicultural welfare-based ("chill") socialism seemed to have worked for them so far. But to sit here and argue that their relatively trouble-free path up to this point is somehow also guaranteed perpetually, while at the same time blindly if slowly replicating much of socio-political blueprint of Sweden, is an act of cognitive dissonance of the highest order.

Based on StatsCanada, number of hours worked in all industries in December was 600,000,000. 450,000 was based in the service industry, 150,000 in trades/construction. Apparently we're more than lumberjacks and rig workers.

Proof that we're emulating Sweden? Stats please, policy proposals, need numbers not anecdotes. 25,000 Syrian refugees made up primarily of families is a drop in the ocean compared to the 280,000 skilled/post grad educated immigrants arriving in Canada annually from all over the world.

Sweden has created whopping total of zero net jobs over the course of 50 years. Of course uneducated refugees can't integrate, the stifling socialism of Northern Europe is a closed system and non friendly to capitalism and business creation. We're anything but Sweden. We have one of the lowest effective corporate and small business taxes in the OECD at 26%. Starting a business or a franchise in the non Quebec part of Canada is only limited by the amount of financing one can obtain for the brick and mortar and franchise license fees.
