SWPL'S, amygdala's, and bears - oh my!

Warning: It gets loud.

This is an interesting example of how young, un indoctrinated children are more in touch with their instincts and survival mechanisms than your average "enlightened" SWPL adults. The kid, despite not being informed on how dangerous a bear can be, know's it's a threat. The dad actually stops the car and lets these dangerous animals climb all over it, while actually laughing and seeming to enjoy it. His lack of situational awareness is frankly stunning. The mom is too busy trying to assure the kid it's safe, and that the bears "just want to see her" before she finally wises up and tells the idiot father to step on the fucking gas.

While the bears didn't seem aggressive, wild animals are free agents; and their temperment could change at a moments notice.

Something tells me there is a Berne2016 sticker on the back bumper of that car.

Bears are strong as fuck. In the old days they used to have bear versus bull fighting. The bear would usually win by snapping the bull's neck.

Also, OP reminds me of this video.

It also gets loud. The girl is annoying as fuck.

"Bear, stop!! BEAR, STOP!! Why are you even here!? It's september, you're supposed to be asleep!!"

That gave me a chuckle.

Did you see the linked compilation video with the huge bear chasing the guy on a bicycle? Holy crap.

Apparently it's fake. A bear can run much faster than that guy was biking, anyhow.

This is how every unmarried woman is going to sound when the economy collapses.

[Foucs]

The couple in the initial video remind me of this idiot:

TLDW: his wife was one of the victims in the recent Paris terror attacks. His young son understands the danger; he says that they need to move out because the bad guys have guns. His father replies, "They have guns but we have flowers." The kid then stares at his father like he's taking the piss.

The children of these couples are able to accurately assess the danger when they see it - without even knowing what a bear, or international terrorism, is - and yet their parents are completely blind.

My speculation is that it's the school system. 16 years obediently following the mandates of a gun-free zone, earning gold stars and letters on a report card for obedience, trains these Eloi that nothing can possibly go wrong, and that they just need to keep obeying the rules.

After all - Yellowstone is a NATIONAL PARK! Surely the federal government will protect them! They wouldn't let them do anything dangerous, after all!

It would have been hilarious if the guy turned around and the bear was also on a bicycle.

I was suspicious about that. The way someone showed up with a gun at the end made it seem too good to be true.

I know bears can run extremely fast, but for how long I wonder.

Quote:The event depicted in the video also seems dubious. According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, grizzly bears have a top speed of nearly 40 MPH, and rangers at Yellowstone National Park have clocked grizzlies traveling at speeds in excess of 25 MPH for more than two miles. This makes it extremely unlikely a cyclist on a bumpy surface, without the aid of a declining slope, would be able to outrace a determined bear.

Nothing hurts children more then realization that their parents are biologically unfit to survive. She is going to hold this grudge.

If they can run down an Elk, my guess is you had better peddle like Lance Armstrong if you want to get away from one on a bicycle:

Jesus bears are scary as fuck. Would not trifle with. I wonder who would win in a fight between a Silverback Gorilla and an Alaskan Grizzly.

What a stupid douchebag, deserves to be eaten and would have been eaten in a paleolithic tribe. Yeah sure the 500lbs animal is just curious and wants to play right until it jumps straight through the window and bites through daddy's skull like it's butter. That bear could smash the window with zero effort.

Also lolled at the precision of the title in the OP. SWPL, amygdala and bears, what else needs to be said if red pilled.

Threat detection, not the strong force of the amygdala challenged liberal.

My money's on the silverback. Here's some actual footage I found.

Grizzly bears can weigh up to 900 lbs and regularly kill moose, which weigh around 1500 lbs.

A silverback gorilla can get up to 400 lbs.

Grizzly bears can reach speeds of 40 mph, whereas gorillas are lucky to get to 25 mph.

There's a video of a grizzly bear rolling a 700 lb dumpster like a beach ball and he wasn't even mad.

My money is on the grizzly.
