In the process of trading a 19 year old Glendronach Single Cask for a bottle of this:

I'm pretty hype.

Mamont vodka.

Not cheap (some 35 €), but definitely one of the best.

Im on a budget, so I drink Ten High Bourbon.

It gets the job done, I think it's better and stronger than Jim Beam, and a good size bottle goes for ~$16.

RE: Liquor Thread
I mostly drink single malt scotch.

I'll probably finish a bottle of Glenmorangie this evening only a couple of shots left in it.

Overall, I often buy Glen Moray. It is a very drinkable scotch at a price point that doesn't hurt (under $35). Toumintoul is another favorite of mine. A little more expensive, but good. And while not scotch, the Knappogue Castle Irish is quite good.

Even though I don't care much for gin, I highly recommend the Treaty Oak Antique Gin. Good stuff.

Over the pas few years, a number of distilleries have been built in Texas, there's some really good products coming out of them. But stay away from Whistlestop, it's a very rough whisky.

RE: Liquor Thread
Just got a bottle of this excellent stuff
[Image: dlmob.15yo.jpg]

Very smooth and sip-able, and a very sweet after taste. I really liked the white oak aged taste, and the sherry gives it a sweet cinnamon/nutmeg after taste. It may be too sweet for some that prefer earthier scotch, but I found it tasting quite perfect and ridiculously easy to drink.

I've also got open bottles of Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength, Talisker 10, Smith & Cross Rum, and Kai Pandan Vodka around here somewhere. All good stuff.

RE: Liquor Thread
Whisky, vodka, and most other spirits actually all have the same calorie count. As long as the ABV is the same brown spirits won't have any more calories than vodka. The only thing that will make a difference is added sugar.

That's the best "cheap" single malt available right now, in my opinion.

$36 around here and very good for the price.

I have a bottle of the 21 year old here and it's good, but not anywhere near the value of the 12 year.

I was out with a tinderella last night and had a Vieux Carre at a cocktail bar, it just dethroned the Manhattan as my favorite drink. Its hard enough to find a decent Manhattan, I cant imagine Ill be able to get a decent Vieux Carre on the regular. To Total Wine I go...

Brora 35 1977/2013
49.9% ABV
~$1300/bottle

Color: Honey, could be mistaken for a glass of mead

Nose: Honey, ash, seaweed, slight brine, clove

Taste: Sweet & salty, waxy, black pepper, honey, brine, subdued smoke, very slightly medicinal

Finish: Long and rich, the brininess persists, along with more honey and wax, like eating a smoked honeycomb

Score: 93/100

Great dram, but not as great as it’s hyped up to be in my opinion. Maybe I’m just too much of a plebeian to fully appreciate it, but I was expecting to be blown away and I wasn’t.

WEW LADS.

This Laphroaig Cairdeas 2014 Amontillado Cask is good as fuck.

If you like nutty sherry and you like peated scotch you better find a bottle before they're gone.
