RE: The Syria conflict thread
Some of you may remember earlier this year an incident involving "Russians" and the SAA being attacked by US Marines and air power (A10s).

This wasn't really talked about but the rumours were those Russians were Mercs and were attached to the SAA units to take back an oil field because Assad has promised the Russians some of the oil wells and infrastructure they capture back from terrorists.

Only this particular oil field had the US base near it.

The Americans, using intel from Sergei Skripal knew what they were up to, he informed them about the Russian mercs and how they operate. The Americans wanted to send a message to the Russians and because killing dozens of Russians was out of the question, they decided a good time to show them who is boss was to kill a bunch of mercs.

Think Blackwater but on the Russian side. Very experienced, hardened soldiers who are well known in the corridors of power and very, very useful.

Syria doesnt have nukes and who is going to launch WW3 over a bunch of mercs who dont even exist?

Now the rhetoric from Washington and more precisely, the Pentagon states that they have a mission in Syria and will not be leaving until a democratic result is achieved and a new government is installed.

Quote: They’re still fighting ISIS remnants, holding ground, and waiting for a political solution.

In March, President Donald Trump said that “very soon” he would bring U.S. troops home from Syria. Today, his defense secretary suggested any such drawdown remains far off.

In a rare Pentagon press conference, James Mattis said a drawdown must wait for more diplomatic progress toward a United Nations-negotiated peace in Geneva that deposes Syria’s Bashar al-Assad. Yet Assad continues to consolidate his power against a dwindling rebel movement, aided by Russia and Iran, even as pockets of ISIS fighters stand their ground.

“We need the Geneva process, the UN-recognized process, to start making traction towards solving this war,” Mattis said on Tuesday. “It really comes down to finding a way of solving this problem of Assad’s making.”

Mattis spoke the day after Trump and Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed Syria by phone. “Russia is called upon to act in a moderating manner on the Syrian government and prevent a further escalation,” said Merkel spokesman Steffen Seibert.

Trump says : "We're leaving"
Pentagon supposedly rebukes? By stating "not until the jobs done".

Now anyone following this for years knows full well the US and NATO had no interest in stopping ISIS and Nusra (Al'Qaeda) and the rollback of terrorists and mass casualties only started once Russia got involved.

How did a weaker military with fewer bases, fewer technological advantages and logistics beat the most powerful military and its allies in a simple ground conflict?

Its quite simple really and one which I didnt see at first, but the US is protecting its interests which is that oil field and potentially others and anyone coming near it will be killed. The oil field represents billions of dollars, tens of billions.

Hows that for spreading democracy?

Turkey has similar goals and they're building a large base and others on Syrian territory. The goal is and always will be the removal of Assad and I figure its either through false flags or the SAA is tricked into an open war with Turkey or the US.

Both give good reason to bomb them but first they need to save their hardcore fanatic useful idiots stuck in idlib. Times running out.

Newspeak for compliant, puppet government. Probably one or more from the many flavours of the jihadi alphabet soup that advocates stoning, hand chopping, throat cutting, heart eating, beheading and mass murdering.

Whoop it up for freedom and democracy.

You had me until "using intel from Sergei Skripal"... that guy is a nobody and most certainly doesn't have vital information concerning Russian mercenaries. Any story that mentions him is definitely fake news produced with the aim of whipping up even more anti-Putin hysteria, and by proxy anti-Trump hysteria too.

He is a canary and the deal when he was swapped was he does not assist the intel services of NATO against Russia. This is how they're spinning it now and thats motive.

Another motive is he was providing intel on the money men in Russia and how to squeeze them.

Im not saying I believe any of it but those Russian Mercs were killed along with a lot of SAA soldiers when they approached an area under the control of US forces inside Syria.

It may be BS but that oil field exists and the US is protecting it for themselves.

There is no other reason for them to be there.

Scotland Yard appear to have used doctored photos with faked (identical to the second) timestamps of the two Russians going separately through the same Gatwick Airport security lane.
The first six minutes here is useful background info on the Skripal case and then he moves on to analysis of the photos themselves. It's pretty convincing.

At this point, one would be curious to hear what Napoleon & Adolf would have to say about Britain & the EU attempting to agitate a war with Russia.
Yet due to the sorry state of British & EU politics.
Even if Napoleon & Adolf could offer advice to 10 Downing st & the EU. Those two may have kept their mouths shut & allowed the Euro globalist retards to repeat history...

RE: The Syria conflict thread
It's happening, guys. If you thought President Trump and America cannot take it any deeper up the ass from Israel, think twice!
American Israeli and NATO forces just shot down a Russian military plane.
That's it. A Russian military Il-20 aircraft with 14 service members on board went off the radars during an attack by four Israeli jets on Syria’s Latakia province, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Air traffic controllers at the Khmeimim Air Base “lost contact” with the aircraft on Monday evening, during the attack of Israeli F-16 fighters on Latakia, said the MOD. The plane was 35 kilometers off the coast of Syria when it vanished.
Let's wait for the Russian reaction.

With God's help, I'll conquer this terrible affliction.

By way of deception, thou shalt game women.

I don’t understand all of the Israel hate... but that aside, RT IS a Russian propaganda news site. Anyways, Russia is not as strong as they claim, and the only thing they do understand is strength...

I don’t see any reason why Israel would purposely shoot down a Russian plane unless threatened... they have enough problems with hezbolla and Iran. If they did, they HAD a damn good reason.

Israel has been bombing Syria for a while now. I say Russia has been very inhibited towards them and their only powerful deterrent is their nukes. They would lose conventional warfare so far away from Russia and this would be terrible optics for them at home and it would put them in a box where tactical nuclear weapons are the only way forward.

But we all know thats an end game scenario with no recourse and the box the Russians find themselves in now is going to trouble them. If they leave Syria Israel will keep attacking and eventually something will happen.

I'm wondering if Trump made a deal, greenlight to declassify and end Mueller probe if he goes all in on Syria.

Obviously team wait and see until he actually escalates, which he didn't last time this situation came to a head (empty airfield bombing.)

Hitler (assuming there were was a Holocaust) should have went the traditional route, expulsion of the Jews. A large portion of his grievances were based on reality. The Holocaust has made the expulsion route completely untenable politically (again, history is written by the winners. Soviet Bolsheviks were the ultimate winners of WWII.)

RE: The Syria conflict thread
Just some thoughts about Syria and Iran, including Lebanon.

It is well known the EU, Russia and China want to do business with Iran but US sanctions are in the way and companies do not want to be hit with huge fines for circumventing them, see BNP Paribas SA and the recent verdict of $9 billion dollars against them.

Have the following video at the back of your mind and what it shows;

The countries at the centre of all of this are Syria, Iran, Lebanon. All enemies of Israel and Saudi Arabia, neither have central banks like we do. Syria is sitting on a lot of natural resources and refused the pipeline that Israel and SA favours for a pipeline which favours Russia - which is fighting to keep that country on its side.

Now SA and Israel are unusual allies but they serve the same masters, the difference being Sunni controlled Saudi Arabia has a thirst for organising salafist groups to destroy from within any ME and African country that does not toe the line when asked.

Iran is causing a lot of issues for the US and these two countries but so far no major pretext for war has come around.

The next part is how do people circumvent the US sanctions? The answer may lie with a Special Purpose Vehicle.

A special-purpose entity (SPE; or, in Europe and India, special-purpose vehicle/SPV, or, in some cases in each EU jurisdiction – FVC, financial vehicle corporation) is a legal entity (usually a limited company of some type or, sometimes, a limited partnership) created to fulfill narrow, specific or temporary objectives

The following taken from https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/...the-dollar

Quote:With more and more European companies fleeing Iran following the re-imposition of U.S. sanctions, it may be tempting for Americans to write off Europe’s efforts to save the Iran nuclear deal. It would be wiser to resist the temptation. A new plan by Germany, France, Britain, China and Russia to create special financial infrastructure to work with Iran could be a credible challenge to the U.S. dollar’s long global dominance.

Federica Mogherini, the European Union’s top foreign-policy official, said in New York on Monday that the plan to create a “special purpose vehicle” for trade with Iran “will mean that EU member states will set up a legal entity to facilitate legitimate financial transactions with Iran, and this will allow European companies to continue trade with Iran.” The technical details are still to be worked out, but her wording provides some useful hints on how the scheme will work.

The U.S. sanctions, reimposed after President Donald Trump pulled his country out of the 2016 agreement that severely restricted the Iranian nuclear program, make it virtually impossible for an entity with any U.S. exposure — including correspondent accounts with U.S. banks — to do business with Iran. The cost of defying American sanctions can be steep: in 2015, BNP Paribas SA, the French bank, paid a penalty of almost $9 billion for violating U.S. sanctions against Iran, Cuba and Sudan. The French government’s angry protests over the “disproportional” punishment were ignored.

At the same UN meeting Donald Trump attended and gave a speech against globalism the Iranians held a meeting with many other nations representatives - without the US involved. Behind closed doors.

People want to trade with Iran and are seeing the US as belligerent.

Now, to me history tells us the FED (a private central bank) would not tolerate a different monetary system to its own because it hasn't done in recent history, all the way from WWI.

They are missing a pretext to get into Iran >> for now << and will try to undermine it from within by using economics, people movement and even Sunni insurgents who are useful idiots for Saudi Arabia.

I see this as a pretext to get rid of a country rich with resources, a government which hates Israel and has been a thorn to Saudi Arabia for a long time.

If Iran falls so too will Hezbollah and Lebanon and perhaps even Syria, another country ripe for conquest.

I dont know how it will play out but to me its highly likely they will get somewhere.

EU and Iran agree on new payment system to skirt US sanctions
Five world powers and Iran agree to set up legal entity to circumvent US sanctions after Trump pullout from 2015 deal.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2018/09/e...20569.html

Quote:In a major snub to the United States, the European Union has decided to set up a new mechanism to enable legal trade with Iran without encountering US sanctions.

The EU will create new payment channels to preserve oil and other business deals with Iran, Federica Mogherini, the bloc's foreign policy chief said late on Monday, in a bid to evade US punitive measures.

We are going to see interesting things soon.

Time is on Assad's side at this point, he's got the jihadis cornered in Idlib and the Russians are beefing up their air defenses. The Kurds have overreached in the east, they are ethnically cleansing Christian Syrians and this is going to backfire on their ass.

Yes they are cornered but it will take time to release the people they're holding hostage and this gives time for their backers to get them out to a safe zone.

Turkey is now going to attack Kurds in Iraq and is/has been building bases inside Syria to launch attacks there.

There is still the question of that US base in Syria guarding a large oil deposit. Lets not forget the Genie Energy company which has interests in this area and I highly doubt this base and other operations are just there out of concern for ISIS - an entity set up to destroy Syria by US proxies.

Then there is this;

https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-mideas...KKCN1MD277

Quote:Israel can beat Russian-supplied S-300 air shield in Syria - minister.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - An Israeli official played down on Wednesday the Russian upgrading of Syria’s air defences, saying the newly supplied S-300 missile system could be defeated by Israel’s stealth fighters and possibly destroyed on the ground.

Moscow said on Tuesday that it had delivered the S-300, a decision it took after accusing Israel of indirect responsibility for the downing of a Russian spy plane by Syrian forces as they fired on attacking Israeli jets last month.

Damascus and its big-power backer describe the advanced addition to Syria’s arsenal as a major deterrent. Israel and Washington have both voiced misgivings about the S-300 handover.

But asked in an interview if the Syrian acquisition of the S-300 would clip the Israeli military’s wings, Tzachi Hanegbi, the country’s regional cooperation minister and a non-voting member of its security cabinet, said: “Unequivocally, no.”

“The operational abilities of the air force are such that those (S-300) batteries really do not constrain the air force’s abilities to act,” he told Israel’s Army Radio.

Referring to F-35 Joint Strike Fighters that Israel began receiving from the United States over a year ago, Hanegbi said: “You know that we have stealth fighters, the best planes in the world. These batteries are not even able to detect them.”

Reuters reported in 2015 that Israel had trained against a Russian-supplied S-300 system in Greece.

Israel says its air raids on Syria are needed to foil deployments and arms transfers by Iran or Lebanon’s Hezbollah guerrillas, allies of Damascus.

Hanegbi said that Russia had previously stationed its own S-300 in Syria, so the system’s capabilities had long been factored into Israeli planning. Syria’s military would require “a few months” to get its S-300 operational, he said.

“We have clarified to the Syrians more than once that we will not step back from our commitment to prevent Iran’s entrenchment in Syria,” Hanegbi said, adding a veiled threat to take action against the S-300 on the ground: “We were already forced, a few months ago, to destroy Syrian missile batteries, and I hope they won’t challenge us in the future.”

Israel said on Sept. 4 it had carried out more than 200 air strikes in Syria in the previous two years - an average rate of twice a week - with Russia largely turning a blind eye. There have been no reports of such missions since the Russian plane’s downing on Sept. 17, however.

Any such hiatus was a “tactical situation over a week or two” rather than a strategic reassessment by Israel, Hanegbi said.

Asked if Iran and its allies had used the period to step up their activities in Syria, he said he had seen “no basis for that” in Israeli intelligence assessments.

This slipped under the radar for many but I noticed between the lines here, he is essentially saying they can and have attacked Syria with air power.

He does not say terrorists but instead claims it is for Syrian and Iran interests.

Assad has got one over the useful idiots now camping in Idlib but the threat from Israel, Saudi Arabia and the US is far from over.
