RE: The Syria conflict thread
A very interesting discussion on Press TV with Dr. Marcus Papadopoulos, editor of Politics first magazine.

He says that the reason we have seen the US take a more aggressive stance against President Assad is because of Trump's close business ties with the Saudis.

US shoots down Iranian drone in Syria

US fighter jet shoots down armed Iranian drone in Syria
A U.S. jet shot down an Iranian drone flying in southern Syria near U.S.-backed forces on Monday, a U.S. defense official confirmed to Fox News.

A U.S Air Force F-15 shot down the Iranian-made drone, according to the official.

This is the second time the U.S. has shot down an Iranian drone in less than a month. It also marks the fifth time since late May the U.S. military has bombed pro-Syrian forces in southern Syria.

US special operations forces have been training Syrian rebels at an outpost near al-Tanf Syria, close to Syria’s border with Iraq and Jordan for the past few years.

On Sunday, the U.S. military shot down a Syrian Air Force fighter jet for the first time.

I've also noticed the media likes using "U.S. backed forces" as the term when we're doing these things. Say it fast enough and it almost sounds like "U.S. forces". Maybe it's nothing, but I think it's purposely done to trick the mind into thinking "U.S. forces" when that's not what they're referring to. The media love their little manipulative mind games.

^ There is no question about it now, whatsoever.

Trump (and he HAS to take responsibility, none of that deep state crap anymore) is effectively more concerned with combatting Iran's influence in ME and secure regime change in Syria, than fighting ISIS through counter-terrorism. He's in a sovereign country illegally, and is aggressively fighting against those who are fighting the terrorists. His strategies in ME so far have been terrorists' wet dreams come true, and even he himself has admitted he supports terrorism (Calling Qatar terrorism funders, only to sell them 12B of fighter jets a few days later). He's doing all these to make new friends in NeverTrumpers and NeoCons, good luck if you think those will help him get elected in 2020. Luckily for him, average American would back ANY war with the propaganda machine of MSM behind it, even when most can't find the said countries on the map.

He can fuck off. Fighting terrorism my arse !
