Oh Israel, how you enrich our world, you truly are our greatest ally.

Why assume it was Israel and not the US military itself? They have been arming the terrorists. Although I suppose both entities are run by the same people.

I consider it extremely unlikely that Trump would arm these rebels with drones considering he cut their other normal arms.

In addition, this kind of audacity/chutzpa has Israel all over it.

The Pentagon has been acting quite rashly in Syria for some time now, and for some reason Trump has done nothing to stop them from steaming ahead with regime change. The rest of the US government is still full of determined globalists and neocons regardless of Trump so it's not too surprising. After all, in recent months US special forces have been working with SDF to take large swaths of northern Syria ahead of the SAA advance, presumably to Balkanize the country in the future. I do not think Trump has been able to keep the deep state from completely backing out of Syria.

Also, there have been incidents like this:

Quote:US special ops forces & hardware spotted at ISIS positions north of Deir ez-Zor – Russian MoD
Published time: 24 Sep, 2017 09:09

The Russian Ministry of Defense has released aerial images which they say show US Army special forces equipment north of the town of Deir er-Zor, where ISIS militants are deployed.

US Army special units provide free passage for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) through the battle formations of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorists, the ministry said in a statement.

The images released by the Russian Defense Ministry encourage speculation that the US and SDF forces have some sort of “understanding” with IS terrorists operating in the region, according to Ammar Waqqaf, the director of the Gnosos think tank.

“From the footage, the Americans seem to be and the SDF seem to be quite at leisure, they are not expecting any attack any time soon,” Waqqaf told RT. “The reason why this may be the case is that there has been some sort of understandings with ISIS over there. Probably they were given some amnesty, that they are not going to be prosecuted, … or they were given guarantees that they would not be given back to the state.”

Russian Su-35 chased away rogue US F-22 jet: MoD blasts US Air Force for hampering Syria op
Published time: 9 Dec, 2017 18:31

A Russian interceptor has been scrambled to stop a rogue US fighter jet from actively interfering with an anti-terrorist operation, the Russian Defense Ministry said. It also accused the US of provoking close encounters with the Russian jets in Syria.

A US F-22 fighter was preventing two Russian Su-25 strike aircraft from bombing an Islamic State (IS, former ISIS) base to the west of the Euphrates November 23, according to the ministry. The ministry’s spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov described the episode as yet another example of US aircraft attempts to prevent Russian forces from carrying out strikes against Islamic State.

“The F-22 launched decoy flares and used airbrakes while constantly maneuvering [near the Russian strike jets], imitating an air fight,” Konashenkov said. He added that the US jet ceased its dangerous maneuvers only after a Russian Su-35S fighter jet joined the two strike planes.

Published time: 9 Jan, 2018 14:36

Moscow has noted “strange coincidences” surrounding a terrorist attack on a Russian airbase and port facility in Syria, in which guided combat drones were deployed by militants. These include a US spy plane spotted in the area.

Now of course I am in now way denying that the Israeli Jews play a major role in US activities in Syria (as pretty much in every other aspect). But either way, continued US involvement is pretty evident.

Interestingly, today there were more developments in this. Now I tend to side with Roosh's blackpilling that Trump is not going to be able to change much, at least in the foreign policy arena, in a fundamental way. It seems regardless of what a new President's stated intentions may be the deep state certainly is going ahead with what it was doing before.

Quote:Challenge for US in Syria is bending Russia to its will – Senate hearing
Published time: 11 Jan, 2018 22:37

US troops will remain in Syria indefinitely in order to counter Iranian influence, a senior State Department official told the Senate. He acknowledged the success of this strategy depends on Russia seeing things the American way.

President Donald Trump “has committed as a matter of strategy that we will not leave Syria,” David Satterfield, acting assistant secretary of state and head of the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Thursday. The US strategy also includes “stabilizing” the territories in the north and northeast held by the US-allied Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and developing political structures there “into a model for the rest of Syria.”

The US is “not working and will not work with or through the Assad regime. Until there is a credible political process that can lead to a government chosen by the Syrian people—without Assad at its helm—the United States and our allies will withhold reconstruction assistance to regime-held areas,” Satterfield said in his prepared remarks, indicating the Trump administration has not fundamentally diverged from its predecessor’s understanding of the Syrian situation, focused on ‘regime change’ in Damascus.

Multiple senators from both sides of the aisle noted that this is a tall order without Russia coming around and abandoning its support for the Syrian government.

Moscow’s focus has been on “stabilization … putting an end to the chaos and violence” in Syria, Satterfield said. “The question is at what price, over the long term.”

“We hope Russia’s long-term strategic calculus will see Iran poses a threat to their interests,” Satterfield said, adding that a greater Iranian role in the Middle East “cannot serve any regional or trans-regional security interest.”

Russia wants a victory in Syria that is “clean and nicely wrapped,” Satterfield said, and the US diplomats are trying to persuade Moscow that the best course would be to follow the US and “international community” in implementing the UN Security Council resolution 2254.

Asked what kind of persuasion the US is using, Satterfield brought up US military power in the region and access to reconstruction funds for Syria, something he said Russia, Iran and the government in Damascus lack.

...

For the first time, several other senators joined Tim Kaine (D-Virginia) in questioning the legal authority for the US presence in Syria, which was not sanctioned by the UN or the Syrian government. Fighting Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) could be shoehorned into the 2001 congressional authorization to fight terrorism, but what happens when IS is defeated? Satterfield said the terrorist group will remain a danger indefinitely, and the only way to make sure it doesn’t return is political change in Syria.

Quote:Russia knows who staged attacks on Syrian base & it’s not Turkey – Putin
Published time: 11 Jan, 2018 20:06

Recent attacks on Russia’s Khmeimim Airbase in Syria were a provocation aimed at undermining the country’s relations with its partners Turkey and Iran and the peaceful settlement of the Syrian crisis, Vladimir Putin said.

“Those were provocations aimed at disrupting the earlier agreements, in the first place. Secondly, it was about our relations with our partners – Turkey and Iran. It was also an attempt to destroy those relations,” the Russian President said during a meeting with the editors-in-chief of Russian papers and news agencies in Moscow. “We have a perfect understanding of that and will act in solidarity.”

“There were provocateurs there, but they were not Turks,” Putin said, refuting earlier reports saying the attacks on the Russian airbase were carried out by Turkoman units backed by Ankara. “We know who they are. We know whom and how much they paid for these provocations,” Putin said, without naming the organizers of the attacks.

Russian military sites in Syria were targeted in two major attacks in the past two weeks, one on New Year’s Eve and another on January 6. The first assault, reportedly carried out by an infiltration squad armed with mortars, resulted in two Russian servicemen being killed and damage to warplanes at Khmeimim Airbase. The second involved 13 drones armed with bomblets, which were all either shot down or forced to land via means of electronic warfare by Russian forces.

According to the head of state, the attacks on Khmeimim Airbase were “well-prepared.”

“We know when and where those unmanned aerial vehicles were handed over and how many there were,” he said.

“Those aircraft were only camouflaged – I want to emphasize this – to look like handicraft production. In fact, it is quite obvious that there were elements of high-tech nature there,” Putin said.

Before his Thursday meeting with Russian media chiefs, Putin held a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which the Khmeimim attacks were discussed. During the conversation, Putin and Erdogan agreed to “intensify the coordination of efforts by the military and special services of the two countries in order to effectively combat terrorist groups in Syria.”

Quote:Turkey is poised for an imminent massive ground invasion of Northern Syria to quash Kurdish militia groups currently holding Afrin near the Turkish border. Multiple regional outlets have reported a build-up of forces that could constitute the largest external intervening force thus far in the entirety of the Syrian war.

According to Middle East based Al-Sura News, Turkey's military build-up currently underway includes special forces troops, Army units, Turkish-backed Syrian Rebels and Turkey's air force. The Kurdish YPG/J (People's Protection Units) has held Afrin since the Syrian government withdrew from the area in 2012, which constitutes the western-most part of the self-declared Rojava autonomous Kurdish zone.

RE: The Syria conflict thread
Seems like they are trying to create another Bosnia. Once again it will completely back fire but even worse this time.

Syria is a bridge to far for the US, if they create a federation(which of course is very hard to do, but lets just assume they do) the political parties will be controlled by players that are already present and close the region - Turkey-Iran-Russia.

I hope people don't fall for the "reconstruction money" needed to rebuild syria. If the US starts handing out hundreds of billions in exchange for a federation or some territorial control, it will embarrassingly backfire and other will control the country.

Bad news for Kurds.

Putin and Iran gave "green light" for Turkey to march onto territory where Kurds hold. Attack is imminent.
