She could model 5 dollar cocaine addict on a corner streetwear.

She couldn't cope with a world that didn't place her on a pedestal due to the color of her skin, or single parent upbringing. I bet that when she was in that private boarding high school, she was the center of attention by all the virtue signalling students and faculty. At Columbia, she was merely average and her race and gender accounted for nothing.

Her meltdown likely coincided with the realization that she was going to fail several classes and possibly lose her free ride. So she disappears and goes off the grid. What a shit thing to do to your family and friends. When she's found out, she concocts this story and gains the sympathy of all parties. She'll probably get to take incompletes for her classes. Her scholarships will remain intact. She'll spend the summer and possibly the fall, slumming over in Brooklyn, riding the white hipster cock carousel, and then she'll return to school to resume her studies in a much easier major.

This is exactly what I thought while reading the article, the fact that she was getting mediocre grades is telling. Also, she says she ghosted right before finals. Think about that, excepting an actual psychotic break if you're planning on running off into the woods to live a life hunting the most dangerous meat of all: Man, (not that I've thought about this...), why not finish that term and get your credits instead of having 4-5 failed classes stuck on your transcript? Unless you're about to fail those 50% of your grade tests anyways, and your hare-brained new life plan is just a way of trying to rationalize your failure into irrelevancy.

The solipsism of the article is certainly irritating, but frankly it's nothing out of the ordinary for a woman. If you ignore that aspect it is possible to feel sorry for her, being pressured into a role as the Great Black Hope of a girl scientist and prodded into STEM when she wasn't interested.

She felt socially isolated at Columbia and fled to New York, where she's just another nameless, faceless nobody.

Am I missing something?

My gut reaction was that the difference between an adult and a child, is that the adult, upon having this epiphany, would get to their studies, finish the semester, and then head off to Brooklyn for drugs and white hipster dick. And then I cut my inner cynic a little slack and reached the conclusions posted earlier.

Does anyone remember this ad from back in January/February?

I damn near pissed myself when I saw it. You know why? Because I know the "expert" in this ad. I've known him for over 20 years. His wife was a colleague of my father's from the moment she finished her residency. He's got a department chair at University of MD. In Physics. He's the real deal. Both of his kids are pursuing master's degrees in STEM fields. He's the real deal. His kids are the real deal.

I started imagining if I would have the guts to walk the line between life and death.

The feeling of risk, freedom and fearlessness that she experienced while on the ledge were all things I yearned for.

Guys, don't laugh at her. Learn from what she is saying. This is Game Gold.

It's pointless to hate on her for operating on Core Female Instinct.

This instinct is exactly why women will burn down a group of friends, a 30 year marriage, or a business they've worked hard on creating for themselves.

Destroy it all, walk away, and be free!

Look at her language. She wants to exist in an State of Uncontrolled Emotion, not a Logical, Sensible one where she's holding herself in, being the good girl, always keeping other people happy.

This story is as old as time.

This is the mother / whore dynamic.

Hell, this is what Jane Austen's 'Sense and Sensibility' is about, where she splits this 'good girl' and 'free spirit' into two sisters.

This is why I say sex is an artform, and for a man, being able to give a woman the kind of sexual release that allows her to exist outside of her own head, however briefly, is a gift.

The tide draws back.
The wave crashes down.
The tide draws back.
The wave crashes down.
Increasing intensity.

It's the rhythm of female life.

Eventually, it builds up into a crescendo, an emotional tempest that is leads to her standing on the prow of the boat, the wind whipping her hair, the rain slashing her face, thrilling and laughing at the storm.

This is why 'Let It Go' from 'Frozen' was such a huge breakout hit. A while back I was writing on how to generate sexual obsession through music. Listen closely to the words, because I can't rightly-say that I've ever heard another song that so brilliantly-captures the female psyche.

No, I'm entirely-serious. It sings every single observation I've put together about female behaviour through years of interaction: the martyrdom complex; how overwhelming and tempestuous is their emotional reality; hating societal restriction; decrying how hard it is to be the good.

Listen. Learn. It's all in this song. This is your roadmap to understanding the core nature of women and how to work this knowledge into your game.

Note the emotional ebb and flow of the music, and how intense it gets. Note the Boat Prow moment - 'the perfect girl is gone', walking into the dawn. This is how you write songs that appeal to women.

I mentioned recently that offering a woman the sexual release of orgasm is a gift that lets her be outside of her own head, however briefly. The woman in this article wants to escape her restrictive life. The girls listening to 'Let It Go' want to escape freely-indulge in their emotional fury.

As I've said many times before, don't blame a cat for not barking like a dog.

Two recent comments about my newer songs from girls:

"I love how they'll start off as one thing, but then ends up somewhere really different."

"Oh my god, I love [that song]. There's a moment near the end where my body literally shivers every single time I hear it."

Wb2

How did my (beta) male string player react to the same moment? "Geez Bosch, you're really going for it on the piano there."

Facepalm

I do a decent version of 'Let It Go'.

Any readers who are playing the Sensitive Musician game, learn that song now. Just tinker with the opening amateurishly, casually for a bit. When she comments, says "Well, I don't really know the words. Do you know it?" Coax her into singing it. "Go on, it'll be fun". Increase the skill of your playing on the second verse. By the final slide for home, reveal your power level. I'm not too proud to admit I've stood up and kicked over the piano stool on the Boat Prow moment for added emotional impact. There's not a girl alive who hasn't dreamed of being the star of the show.

You can thank me later.

Earlier incarnations of this:

If 'Let It Go' wasn't directly-modelled upon that song, I'll bang Lindy West.

From the youtube comments:

Quote:My dad worked on the original show in San Francisco. He didn't think much of it until this song ended. He looked at the other two guys in the spot booth, and said, "this is going to run for ten years. at least."

Game recognised.

Note, like 'Let It Go', there's a rewritten lyric for the single version, that's more relationship-based.

'Grease' is a basic bitch staple. This is the song that gets every girl who watches the movie on Rizzo's side, Rizzo being the classic bad girl archetype. (Remember my four rules of female behaviour? Transgression is excused and normalised by getting women to imagine themselves in the same position).

Hear Core Female being repeated again and again? It's so hard being good! I want to be free!

Let's not forget the climax of the film is straight-arrow Sandra Dee turning bad girl, Rizzo style.

I won't post the clip, but man, Olivia Newton-John could wear spandex.
