RE: How to get perfect skin
I took accutane and the only side effect I experienced was dry lips. My only regret was not going on it sooner!

I can vouch for this being legit (not the full routine, but separate products).

RE: How to get perfect skin
1) Gel cleanser - I use the one step exfoliating cleanser from Clarins. Feels fucking good and smells it too.

https://www.clarins.co.uk/one-step-gentl...37567.html

I'm also a huge fan of the Clarins cleansing milk.
https://www.clarins.co.uk/cleansing-milk...06439.html

2) Toner

Again a huge fan of the clarins products for this. Feels fucking good.

https://www.clarins.co.uk/toning-lotion-...06234.html

3) Hyaluronic acid

I use the Japanese product Rohto Hadalabo Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Lotion. Available on Amazon.

4) Vitamin C serum

Plenty of studies have shown benefits to Vitamin C. Many options for this.

Here are some of the better options:
a) Kiels Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution
b) Vichy LiftActiv Vitamin C Skin Brightening Corrector
c) Clinique Fresh Pressed™ 7-Day System with Pure Vitamin C

5) Retin A

Retin A is the best in the business. Retin A is much more effective than the retinoids you'd find off the shelf. Ask your doctor for a prescription (or buy it online on a dodgy site).

6) Moisturizer

Many good options here. I like to mix this up.
a) Clarins Super Restorative Night cream.
b) Tony Moly Green Tea Cream
c) Aveeno Daily Mouisturising Lotion

7) Sunscreen

Clarins, La Roche Posey, a supermarket one. Just make sure you use one in daylight if you are using Retin A.

No homo.

Proper skin care is very important. I have dry skin and often use Full of Grace and Angels on Bare Skin. Also I make Isolaz treatment in Beauty Fix MedSpa clinic every month. It gives great results. My skin looks amazing now

RE: How to get perfect skin
@OP, that's a lot of chemicals you're throwing on your face. Skin care products are for the most part useless, there's no science behind them.
The only ingredient that some studies have shown is effective in treating your skin is retinol. A cream that has retinol combined with a gentle sun screen is pretty much the only thing you need. As you said, exposure to the sun can be very damaging to the skin (especially those sun bathing sessions by the beach that everyone seems to love, it only takes a couple days to permanently damage your skin). Sleeping well, exercising and avoiding stress are much more effective than any bullshit cream.
Look at all the post wall women that finance this scam, they all look terrible without make-up in their 30s whether they use 1 cream or 10/day.

The best treatment for acne starts with your diet. Avoiding junk food, sweets, salty snacks or milk based products is usually a good bet to get rid of acne.

Posted this on the other skin thread. Good quality, cheap source for many of the products mentioned on this thread.

RE: How to get perfect skin
Worth talking about a few cosmetic non surgical treatments many celebrities and cunts alike have been doing in the past decade or so.

1) PRP Treatment (Vampire Facial). Somewhat popularised by the kardashians in social media, this involved blood taken from your arm and put through a centrifuge to isolate platelets and then being injected into your face. You will look like absolute shit for at least 24 hours. But once you recover your face will be glowing, it will restore volume and remove wrinkles. Studies have shown significant improvements to the skin. This shit genuinely does work but usually requires three sessions (4-6 weeks apart) and a maintenance session thereafter every 12-18 months.

2) Laser. This can take the form of a non ablasive laser (e.g. Fraxel, Icon 1540) or ablasive (CO2). The non ablasives usually require at least 3 treatments to the face. They are far less harsh to the skin, usually a 3 days to a week recovery. Definitely helps with skin tightening. Sessions usually not cheap could be 300-500 dollars a session. Results are permanent. Good for removing wrinkles, spots, acne etc. Makes face look much smoother.

3) Fillers. This can take the form of different dermal fillers. One is hydraulic acid which can definitely bring very good results for anti-ageing (much more so than in topical use). Fillers can also be used to enhance/augment the cheek, jawline, nose, forehead etc. Results are not permament and require retouching every 3-6 months. Similar cost to the two above.

RE: How to get perfect skin
Good post.

For guys that want a 1-2 minute skin care routine - this is what I do and it works very well for me (as someone who can develop some acne and dry skin if I don't take care of myself):

1. Begin with your diet - I can't stress how much my skin has the potential to break out if I eat high sugar and highly processed foods. The more clean or natural food you eat, the better. To be honest, if I eat very clean - I don't really need to do any other skin care - my skin stays naturally very clear and healthy. I was amazed when I first discovered this.

2. Drink water daily, and do some form of exercise (as you age, exercising helps with a lot of things including skin elasticity due to the length of your telomeres and other biological/science based stuff)

3. Have a small clean rag (or two, so you can rotate them and wash them every week or few weeks) - exfoliate your face with it every 3 or 4 days in the shower (don't rub too hard though and irritate your skin - you just want to do it hard enough to clean your skin and remove the oil and crap that gathers on the surface of your skin. Some very light redness after rubbing is OK.)

4. Apply a small amount of cold pressed 100% organic/virgin coconut oil (should have no chemicals, preservatives, additives etc.) to your face and skin every one or two days in the morning (or night if you don't want your face looking shiny) and leave it to soak into your skin (which it should do within a few hours).

Probably CO2 laser. Head to a dermatologist.

There was a thread on here by a guy who had bad acne scarring and what he did to get rid of it. Try searching different skin/acne related terms.

RE: How to get perfect skin
I would suggest people be very wary of Accutane. Most people are fine, but a small percentage of people have really bad side effects that last for years. It is Russian roulette with your genetics. I did the low dose treatment, and if I could do it over I would take the pimples back and just do topical treatments for all the hell it caused me. I know it has helped many people, but I just feel people are not informed of what could happen if the drug doesn't agree with your genetics.

I've posted about this topic on other threads, and helped members in the past over PMs as well. The easiest summary is that a lot of acne and skin related issues can be resolved with a Paleo diet.

Lol you dont know that soap? Its famous. You can use it to wash your hair, then your car, then your dishes. Most importantly, doesn't contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate like most other suggestions.

Number 2 tip to get perfect skin? Dont triple shower everyday, or actually dont even shower every day. You are removing the protective layer of the skin. Number 3 tip for best hair? Only wash it once a week maximum, as Roosh discovered.

One would be shocked at just how good plain old Olive Oil can be for your skin. Full of antioxidants, good fats, and no additives. Put it on after a shower. You'll feel like a sticky mess for about 20 minutes but the hydrated look and glow of your skin afterward will be well worth it.

RE: How to get perfect skin
I’m a fan of Castile soap. I like that it is multipurpose and pretty natural.

I mix 1 cup Castile soap, around 2 tablespoons honey, around 2 tablespoons of olive oil and then maybe 20 drops or so of bergamot essential oil. This is my body wash.

I can’t make assertions on the efficacy of it for great skin, but it is pretty simple and I’m not loading my skin up with tons of chemicals. I also get a “customized” body wash for probably not much more than store bought crap.

@WTTL. Might try olive oil on my face.

I only use this along with ice cold showers. The dr bronners can also be used to brush teeth and wash dishes although I only do the latter.
